  1. Pulling out random statistics? You could prove them right by changing your poll to something which reflects it. Or you could prove yourself wrong. 'I pk, have extremes and don't want them' 'I pk, don't have extremes and don't want them' 'I pk, have extremes and do want them' 'I Pk, don't have extremes and do want them' People who don't pk or use the wilderness shouldn't vote because well, it won't have an effect on them whichever way and probably don't know the effect they would have. 73.6% of all statistics are made up on the spot. Ok so you just made your poing invalid. Anyways, PKing with chaotics is a 200k tokens risk, which equates to around 30 hours for an average dungeoneer. However, Herblore levels, you don't risk losing, AND they don't require combat to use. See the difference? I agree Jagex's reason "can't see them" is a bit farfetched, so how about arguing with our points, rather than saying "Oh turmoil can't be seen either, let's ban that!" etc. And also, Bruno's rushing pictures prove how much easier extremes will make it to OHKO someone. We don't need that.
  2. ^He's always right you guys. Learn from your mistakes, those mistakes being doubting what he says. :P
  3. Umm... sorry to burst your bubble, but "who enters the wilderness with the boost will be restored to 'super' level". Corp lair isn't wilderness, stepping out will equal "entering the wilderness". Sure bound to be bugs in the first few days though, no doubt about that. Anyways, I've completely lost track of your points because they seem to change alot. But I guess it all boils down to "I got extremes so I can use them in the wild to PvM". But hey you know what? Many players, 3 years ago, trained their levels to PK for a living. Guess what happened to that? *Poof!* All I can say is, there are much better options outside the wilderness to use extremes, and I honestly think you (and the rest of you lot) are overreacting to this.
  4. Unfourtunately, if you found joy in RSC PKing, then RS2 PKing is not for you. That being said though, new/old wilderness is being re-released next week and you should try it out.
  5. The requirement for Ancient Curses is a series of quests and a mixture of combat and non-combat skills. The requirement to benefit from the Ancient Curses (that is, to actually use them, instead of switching to the book and doing nothing with it) is prayer levels. The requirement for Extreme Attack Potions is a non-combat skill. The requirement to benefit from Extreme Attack Potions is Attack levels. You do not benefit at all from using Extremes over Supers if you don't have enough Attack, just like you do not benefit at all from using Ancient Curses over normal prayers if you have minimum prayer. And this goes all the way up to the highest levels. You don't get the final benefit from Extreme Attack (+7 over Super Attack) until you get 96 Attack, just like you don't get the final benefit from Ancient Curses (Turmoil) until you get 95 Prayer. Also, you're not leaving the status quo. You're changing the Wilderness to disallow Extreme Potions, which is relevant because there are Wilderness PvM and non-combat activities that will suffer from this. Extremes potions disallowed in current BH and pvp worlds --> Extreme potions disallowed in the Wilderness. Sounds like status quo to me. And to be honest, what are you honestly going to hunt in the wilderness? Green dragons? Chaos elemental? Revs or whatnot? There are way better options outside the wild, no? So in the end, it isn't a consistency, you just think you're going to lose out when hunting monsters in the wild. Well, I guess that's a legitimate concern, but then again, everyone else is also under the same "limit", so it's still fair game.
  6. ^That. PKing is completely different from everything else in the game. It's different than, say, soloing TDs. You read a guide and get a good idea on how to do TDs. And then you go try it out on a welfare run, and you're set. But in PKing, your opponent isn't AI, so it's highly unpredictable, and it makes it one of the most difficult tasks in the game. Now, like Bloodstain said, watching PK videos are great way to learn some neat tricks. Also, watch videos on hybridding, tanking out a tb, high risk, etc. But in the end, you have to try it plenty to get good at it.
  7. Yah, PKing is sort of different from soloing bandos. Or crashing the KBD. etc.
  8. And you know, they are banned already. Saying "oh you want the old wild back, then you should take everything nasty that comes with it" is not really relevant, well, because extremes didn't exist in the old wild. Or the "oh so you pkers can have what you want, but skillers can't force extremes down your throat". It's not like PKers don't have extremes. Sure the low level pures/ temporary fun accounts might not, but people who have played a long time and find pking as their time"waster" will probably have 85 herblore or higher to pot for extremes/ovls. Imagine all those newbies doing clues/hunting penguins now. "OMG I got claw specced in 1 hit! How is that possible!!!" "Uh, extremes maybe!" "Well they should be banned!" :wall: Let's just say less problems will arise if it's just kept the way it is now, regarding extreme/overload potions. Why fix something that's not broke eh? Isn't that what you guys all like to say? Well now they aren't "fixing" it, and look at all the ranting  EDIT: Just read the above post. What are you saying? The only requirements for ancient curses are noncombat quest related levels? lolwut? How about the actual prayer level required to use it. D'oh! You don't unlock both extremes and curses through non-combat. Because if you did Senntisten, but had like 50 prayer, you still won't be able to do anything. And I have no idea what the point of that argument is.
  9. ^EXACTLY. Herblore is not a combat skill. Therefore I don't think it should be vital to ensure success when PKing.
  10. Wait a minute, what are you guys even arguing about? That prayer should give combat levels...? Oh wait.... That turmoil should be banned? Huh? :???:
  11. Get 95 if it doesn't break your bank.
  12. Just saw a guy bridding in welfare vs a guy risking full dharoks. Guess what, he ko'd dharoks with a Ksword spec! It was like 490! <_< Oh well I did the Void Knights stories, and now have to sword. Might use it lol.

Lol @ "legit" PKers for dying and getting less profit than rushers. Touché? I believe so :P When old wild comes back, yah for sure. :shades: But I'm positive rushers get way less kills than "legit" PKers as you so nicely put it, And all the deaths lead to DP, which is a bs system in itself haha. :P
  14. 94 mage. 99 strength. 99 range. High attack. Don't train defence. Aim for 70prayer, and eventually 95. And you'll be set. And remember, stats don't make a good pker, you need skill.
  15. I guess. I dunno, when I said that I imagined a person looking PURELY at exp/hour, without even trying the task out, and choosing what tasks to block and not block purely based on exp figures. (Well, I guess other things like charms, effigies but you get the point.) Efficiency. But hey, judging by the way efficient people act, I'd say it's pretty darn accurate to use "elitist" and "efficient" interchangeably. OT: I blocked hellhounds, kalphites, steel dragons, and black demons. Thinking about removing black demons for jungle stykes though.
  16. Looking at your highscores, I see you have 95 prayer and 99 herb already. Well then, I wouldn't just waste exp lamps on runecrafting, as that skill is useless. Maybe put 200k into rc for 80, then dump the other 2 in farming. Or even agility!
  17. that could simply be people doing the 1 click method, since u can only click during 1 opening that means u all would be runnin at the same time and pattern Sadly though they are most likely bots. Sorc botting is getting to be a major thing, much like green dragon killer bots. <sarcasm> But Jagex got rid of the bot problem, remember? </sarcasm> As soon as wildy and free trade comes back, I bet we will be seeing a hundred times as many. I see more bots now than I did 3 years ago tbh. Ever seen plank bots? Saw tons of them while questing this morning <_<
  18. I have extremes, and can get overloads w/o breaking my bank. That being said, I'm still against them. Reason being, they were banned a day after they came out. Deemed overpowered by many, so I don't see anything wrong with it remaining banned.

    Lol @ rushers. /thread.
  20. Lag, Lagging. Therefore some assume it's Lagging, Lagg. And some spell it lagg to make it seem like they're lagging, lol.
  21. Why do people spell lag with 2 "g"s? I find it especially funny when some guy in a fight safes and says "lagg sry". And I'm just thinking, yah.... right....
  22. Range/mage tank is a beast if played right. Stats are good, but for a long term goal, aim for 74 prayer and a rigour scroll from dungeoneering. The hybrid build is very good too, but go for 45 def and 99 attack. And also save up for 95 prayer. GL, can't wait, another week!!!
  23. Never expected red to start crashing tbh. Nothing is safe, not even blue IMO.
  24. They'll be capped at super potion levels in the wilderness, so I guess you can still bring them, but not use them. Once you leave you will get reset back to extreme potion level. Vise-versa. Herblore is a skill, a non-combat one at that. Therefore, IMO, it shouldn't be a vital part of PKing. As in, you shouldn't be forced to get 88 herb to start winning fights. That would be fundamentally flawed. Like xpx said, it's more PvM based, not PvP. It was banned shortly after being released, so I DO NOT see a problem with it remained banned. Why all of a sudden all the arguing started from this tiny non-issue is beyond me. And what's this about skillers forcing extremes on PKers? That isn't even part of this "issue". And just so you know, PKers don't FORCE risk upon skillers. AFAIK, there aren't many skilling hotspots in the wilderness, and there won't be with the upcoming re-release. Get over this already. You don't have to go into the wild with your 100m skilling outfit, the risk is not forced upon you. It's such a simple thing, just leave everything as is, and there is no problem. Keep extremes out, and there will be no need to make Herblore a combat skill, and everything is still pretty balanced. What's wrong with that?
  25. Those who will benefit are those who pray on the unbalanced pking fight. When someone 15+ levels lower than you can click freeze, teleblock, swipe you 2-3X with a ddp++ then finish you off with a godswordin less time than it takes to read this sentence, it's unfair. Yes the wilderness is dangerous, don't bring anything you're not prepared to lose, blahblahblah. There are things in the game you simply can't do without entering the wilderness. Penguins, certain quests, treasure trails, abyss, etc... BUT, this is Jagex's decision and it will now be part of the game. They're going to (overall) lose more players than they think. Sure plenty left when pking went away, but they lose tons more over time when people quit month over month when people get pissed after being killed by a clan trying to find a frigging penguin. Pking is supposedly so popular, but look at the current pvp and bounty worlds. Consistiently empty. They're just looking to get a boost in the 11-14 age category. That's the target audience to player-killing. Fine by me. That means less of them in the areas the rest of us will be in. So I'll take it you're either 10 or 15.
