They don't. Combat isn't just about strength. Some people can specialize in defence, others in strength, etc. It's sort of like games where you level up, and you can spend points on which stat to increase, defence, dexterity, strength, accuracy, etc. Not everyone is going to end up with the same build, and each have their advantages, which is why people are specialized, and average stats in everything aren't neccessarily the best. Still, at mid-high levels a main can handle a pure very easily. At lower levels, they risk being KO'd by mage. The way I see it, equipment should have nothing to do with combat level. In every other game I've played, I've never seen equipment change a characters level. Of course, different tiers of equipment and meant to enhance combat capabilities, that's the whole point of them.

Eh I doubt it. One piece of advice, if you're going to risk ahrims, then you should upgrade to staff of light at least. Or else just go with ancient staff and mystic, cheap and effective.

Brawlers have charges to them. Agil have something like 350 charges. Each obstacle uses 1 charge, but the last obstacle gives a lap bonus, and the brawler will count that. As a result, by only using a brawler on the lap bonus, you can gain several hundred thousand exp.

In what sense is it working? If combat level is meant to be a relative measure of KO ability, and a level 50 pure could easily wipe the floor with a level 70 main, how's it working? Their combat abilities. Staying capabilities (like tanking), damaging capabilities (attacking), etc. And yes, it's working perfectly fine. A level 70 main can and will beat a pure in a dm most of the time. If the pure gets lucky and specs a 250-250 with a dds, then a change in combat level won't affect anything at all. Your statement proves you know nothing about PKing, so why don't you either try it out first, and then make comments, or just don't say stuff that you have no basis on. It doesn't need to be any more complicated than it already is. If this whole thing stemmed from the ext/ovls being allowed in the new/old wilderness debate, I see it as kind of pointless. OVLS and EXTS were deemed unfair to use in a pvp world, so why would it be deemed fair in the new/old wilderness. Ovls and exts weren't around back then, and I bet enough people would've complained to make them banned anyways.

IMO it works perfectly fine the way it is. I don't get the point of adding all those other things to combat levels.

How was Bladerunner? We were choosing between Bladerunner and One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest, and we voted on the latter.

Prayer training in f2p is very expensive and useless IMO. But since 16 prayer won't do any good, and you can't delete levels, I'd recommend 25 for protect item, or 31 for ult. Strength. When and if you become a member, look into 52 prayer. And I believe with this new quickpray thing, you could pull off the switch + prayer. But I remember watching Most Dreaded's vids back in the day, and damn, he was a pro range/2h'er. Check out his vids for sure.

Exactly, with full dharoks and no skull, the helm won't be lost. And even if it was lost, it wouldn't disappear but instead be transferred. Therefore, demand for the helm would lower, and the price will go down.

So they did.... I don't really care though, I still love this soon-to-be update. I don't care if it was a publicity stunt, I don't care if they've been working on it for 6 months, I don't care if they were going to bring it back no matter what. If they only reason for hating this update is the way Jagex supposed "lied" to all their players, then I must say that's a pretty weak thing to base it on. Not neccessarily directing it at you Will, just in general.

I STILL don't get the whole ext/ovls thing. They were deemed overpowered at the time of release and was banned from Pvp/BH worlds, so what's wrong if it's banned in the wilderness? They weren't released pre 07, so it's not a "just like old times" issue. I have hundreds of extremes and I would not mind if it was banned. Here we go. OMG, I'm [bleep]ING READY!!!!

No idea. Damn, Oilers powerplay is ridiculously... brutal. A 6 on 2, and they don't shoot the puck :wall: :wall:

I don't mind old people sitting next to me, they usually just sleep. Anyways, just watched Blow, it was ok I guess. Ending was kinda sad, but not as sad as Forrest Gump's ending, makes me cry everytime I see it :cry:

It's really hard to bring a dragon dagger, full black hide and some cheap magic robes isn't it? It's also really easy to get frozen through that pr0 mage defence and then clawrushed for no reason whatsoever Then is it really hard to bring clue, spade and a meerkat and its scrolls? Meh, they're gonna pk you, no matter what you have/don't have on you. But you won't lose anything :wink:

I'm on lunar mostly. Useful for farm runs, and edge PKing. Trollheim tabs were a lifesaver! Other times I'm on ancients for some castle wars or hybrid PKing. And I'm almost never on the normal spellbook anymore.

For the first 50 minutes, I agree. But after that, I was on the edge of my seat, and it was some exciting hockey!! Too bad Calgary won =/. Then I watched the Oilers game, and damn, Taylor Hall got rocked by Doughty. But Hall's not even hurt, he's a tought kid =D. I really wish Paajarvi would get more points and start using his frame (6' 1''), but he's been playing well lately. The points aren't really piling up for him, but it's tough when he spent like half the season on the 3rd & 4th line with Cogs and Brule. Oh well, he'll only get better :shades: Oh yea, that Wings' injury situation is ridiculous, but im not surprised at their depth.
