I'm abit confused by this.
I think Ourg and Icyene are more specific catagories. Goblin/Humanoid are general.

Wilderness and Free Trade will return - 17 January 2011
This sums up Blyaunte's point of view perfectly. Also Omali's posters are pretty awesome, Blyaunte you should put them in your signature. Hey if you can demonstrate to me why and/or how, on earth, ANY legitimate corporate entity would or could clusterf**k their way through a game-changing operation in this fashion, I am all ears. I'm all in favour of giving up the entire "deliberate rigging" argument in favour of "Jagex is chocked full of incompetent boobs" any time ... Hey if you can give me some evidence on how they rigged the vote... go right ahead. Let me ask you this when Jagex removed the Wilderness and Free Trade three years ago purportedly because of RWT, with the excuse of how much RWT was hurting them financially, and how they almost lost the business, did you think they were telling you the truth back then? Did you believe them? Do you think Jagex has a handle on RWT trading now? More than likely, the difference between now and three years ago has more to do with the settlement of all legal claims against them filed by the credit card companies, than it does with anything else. I'd wager that Jagex prolly now has sufficient legal protocols in place to deny their own liability for any illicit transaction performed via a stolen credit card, or whatever it was purported to have transpired. Not that Jagex would allow any disclosure of, or admit to, any information relating to such a settlement, but hey, I'm just sayin' ... Still no evidence. Just your conspiracy theories, and ones that don't make much sense really. I believe Jagex is innocent until proven guilty, so I don't believe they've rigged the vote. I believe 90% did indeed want ft/ow back. You don't have to roll eyes at me for not having the same opinion as you.

How to come up with a signature?
IMO some names are just easy to make a signature with. Mine really sucks, first name is Robert, and I can't write cursive so the B and T always screw everything up. My last name is real short, so my signature looks real short, o well, I'm not famous so I won't be giving out ugly autographs :P

This sums up Blyaunte's point of view perfectly. Also Omali's posters are pretty awesome, Blyaunte you should put them in your signature. It makes sense to return free trading if you are going to re-implement old wildy. But in no possible universe it makes sense to return wildy if you are going to re-implement free trade. Why not? I'm genuinely curious, I haven't given it much thought. The old wildy is pretty much based on wealth transfer (the current PvP is based on removing wealth from the game while introducing different kind of wealth at the same time), it would be logical to reintroduce a system for free/non-limited wealth transfer when you reintroduce non-limited wealth transfer based PvP. On the other side - the non-limited wealth transfer has nothing to do with PvP. Considering that I find the current PvP being if not better at least comparable with the old system (this has nothing to do with the needed amount of danger in wildy) you'd find it more logical to introduce the old drop system with the current PvP but PvP area in every world is not a logical next step from introducing a different trade system ... In other words it's logical to add the trade system in the PvP, adding PvP in every world because of a trade system is not. Except that they took out the Old Wilderness because its free trade elements allowed people to use it to RWT, and make it harder to detect. They didn't take it out because skillers were getting harmed by PKers, and they didn't take it out to protect the clue hunters and Abyss Rcers. So if they re-implement free trade, then it would only be fair to return the old wilderness. It's not so much as the theory on how they can/ can't co-exist, it's more the reason why many PKers were hurt when they were innocent.

Death Rune Crash
300 ea perhaps. Maybe upwards to 350 ea.

What is your TRUE Combat Level
Negative. In the current system, if a 138 walks into the wild with full torva then EVERYBODY near 138 will try to 1-item him with claws. He's risking over a billion, they're risking 0 gp. What school of math says no one will bother attacking him? That's why the poster above said going into the Wild with full Torva is crazy. However, if Torva, Divine and Chaotic Sword all added to combat level, then that 138 is more like combat level 365 (195 str, 195 atk, 250 def, 140 con). In a new system, he can only attack and be attacked by people near him ie risking level 80 combat gear. Reason being a 138 with only claws is like a combat level 180. Does it sound so unfair that maybe one should risk a lot in order to get a lot in this situation? A guy 1 iteming with claws isn't going to kill a guy in full torva anytime soon. They will attack him, no doubt, but they won't kill him. Why should equipment change combat levels? That just makes no sense to me. Combat levels, IMO, are based on the character itself, without outside influences. And said out side influences shouldn't affect their level. Because this way, you won't be able to tell a person's base combat levels (att/str/def etc.) Take this example: A level 80 player is rich, so he buys full bandos, with a ddef, whip, dboots, etc. Then a 110 decides to go PKing in welfare with mystic, black dhide, and rune. Now, based on your combat level system, the 110 can now attack the level 80. Do you really think the fight is going to be fair? Even without ancients and range, and just rune, the 110's Atk/Str/Def alone would make the fight tip in his direction. So why should a level 80 be forced to fight a 110 just because he has better gear? He should be able to use that advantage against those around his level who can't afford such luxuries. Before you say then why are you opposed to OVLs/EXTs, I want to say that Herblore is not a combat skill currently, and the benefits only come at VERY high levels, which cost 100ms to scratch the surface of. Super atts/strs/defs are more than enough boost to PKing already.

Why is it so important for you not to call it what it is? If it makes you happy then go with it. Hell, buy yourself a T-shirt, to remind yourself how YOU brought the Wilderness back. But where were you three years ago when we really needed you? Ok, but you're saying a publicity stunt is a bad thing, while I don't exactly think so. And also, 3 years ago I was actively argueing away in the Rants forum against those who thought removing FT/OW was a good thing. What were you doing?

Things that annoy the HELL out of you.
Haha I started noticing that last year, man it's pretty annoying, even if I am a big fan of metal and rock, and detest the likes of bieber/ gaga/ etc.

Why is it so important that it be called a publicity stunt? IMO, if that's the case, then good on JaGex for being smart and trying to make as much money as possible. Look at this this way, they make money, the players are happy, a win-win situation. Why all the hate? Is it that there's nothing else to hate on so you guys resort to calling them "liars" and this whole thing a "publicity stunt"?

The Obligatory Ice Hockey Thread
OK, just as you are biased, being a Wild and Oilers fan, I'm also a bit biased :P But still, there's no denying he's a dirty player. But hey I guess it's effective so whatever works for him, just like how Avery is effective.

Hati Gloves-Summom
I'd Rather bot my account therefore allowing it to be banned. just curious, why 85 def? Because he's already past 70, and don't want to raise it anymore. Coincedentally, I'm also 85 def, and regrets training it this high <_<

Things Related to PKing
Well, why don't you move the "what would make you quit RS" thread too?

Waterfiend tasks on triple charms are awesome! I got 255 crims in the 40 minutes last time around :shades:

Staking
You could also make a second account with "1s this ok" or "ls this ok", and train their stats to make them average/ below average, this might make some people look up the wrong person and underestimate you. But make sure those two accounts are roughly the same combat level.

3rd Age/Spirit shields/Phats Discussion
Yah that's what happened with the easter crash i think. I don't think that situation is directly comparable to what's happening now. Edibles were used as a stepping stop to phats and higher rares, but with the return of free trade you can skip that part and just pay cash if you wanted to. So now edibles don't have a use beyond being discontinued... you can't even display it since it just stays in your inv. No, I meant the easter crash that happened several months back. Merchers who hoarded decided to dump some, lowering the price and causing mass panic. Then they swoop in and rebuy for a much lower price, similar to what freestyler was describing.

What movie(s) did you last see?
Ok I think I'm gonna go download it, haha I'm cheap. Cuckoo's Nest was great, I wrote my final exam on it :P

Things that annoy the HELL out of you.
Haha, what a world. Speaking about phones, i watched Leicester - Man City earlier, and the camera managed to zoom in on a kid using an iphone who was... Hm, 4-5? I changed mine last year after my old one died after 6 years, the new one cost... 35 mohaha. Lol, just the other day, I walked into my exams. The supervisor at the door was all "do you have a cell phone in your pocket?", then I told him "I don't use cell phones" and he freaked. "WHAT!". It was pretty funny.

Ksword specs...
Haven't actually tried gmaul yet, been thinking about it. I've been using dds to get rid of veng, and occasionally gmace. Might buy a couple mauls for targ fights. Also, the whole praying mage thing just gets messy. They'll start praying melee, and it's like not fighting basically

What is your TRUE Combat Level
They don't. Combat isn't just about strength. Some people can specialize in defence, others in strength, etc. It's sort of like games where you level up, and you can spend points on which stat to increase, defence, dexterity, strength, accuracy, etc. Not everyone is going to end up with the same build, and each have their advantages, which is why people are specialized, and average stats in everything aren't neccessarily the best. Still, at mid-high levels a main can handle a pure very easily. At lower levels, they risk being KO'd by mage. The way I see it, equipment should have nothing to do with combat level. In every other game I've played, I've never seen equipment change a characters level. Of course, different tiers of equipment and meant to enhance combat capabilities, that's the whole point of them. I'm fairly certain he meant that more along the lines of strength = general combat ability. So more like, "Why does somebody from the same combat level always have to be equal in [general combat ability]?" Namely, why do they have to be evenly matched? I don't think they do. No pvp system I have ever seen only allows you to fight other people who are identical in skill and ability. That would be no fun, and you wouldn't be able to get much better at it. That's what I thought at first :P I still stand by what I said, and like you said, I wouldn't like a system where everything was measured out so you can only fight people identical in skill and ability. Then it would just come down to luck, as if we need even more luck in this system now. Looking at you Korasi's... <_<

Ksword specs...
I guess it could work, but the timing will be off most of the time. And a lot of Ksword users don't spec until they get rid of your vengeance with a weak hit.
