The Obligatory Ice Hockey Thread
Avery's usual antics such as diving, trash talking I can live with, but when he sucker punches your teammate, I'd say going after him is the right thing to do. It's not the first time he's cowarded when challanged to a fight, only to jump when the guy turns around, it was good that Peckham tried to teach him a lesson. But too bad Avery ran away too fast.

Chaotic Rapier vs Longsword
I got the Maul for PvP, safe and dangerous, mostly safe, but ok. Maul is best for Pvp no? Maybe except with profound castle wars armour, but by the time I get that, I'll probable have a CLS already.

120 construction
What? Construction is my favourite skill, I want a master construction cape with smoke coming out of the back!

The Obligatory Ice Hockey Thread
8-2 wow, can Khabby even stop a puck? And nice line brawl there, typical of how Avery acts, backing down from a fight then turning around and jumping the guy . Peckham might get suspended, but he did the right thing going after Avery. Too bad Boyle saved his ass.

120 construction
Why they should make the construction level cap higher, to 120: It gives us the ability to build more rooms in our dungeons. It gives us the level to build MITHRIL DRAGONS! hopefully *crosses fingers* It could give use the ability to own 2 POHs at level 100! Maybe a better chapel for prayer training. Maybe furniture made out of magic logs and marble! Imagine how pretty it would look. Oh and more money draining abilities, wouldn't that be great! I myself only have roughly 16m exp at this moment, but I know this would be a huge incentive for me to continue training and so will alot of other people.

Chinese workers build 15-story hotel...in just six days.
Which is not the point I was getting at. The show that any country puts on for the Olympics is nothing like what a country is actually like. The whole point is to impress the rest of the world. Usually it goes further than that and no one region of a country is the same as another. Beijing is more than likely nothing like any other given area of China just as Detroit and Edmonton are nothing like other parts of The United States or Canada. So what if it's nothing like the rest of the country? I'm not talking about China being uber wealthy and everyone is living comfortably, I'm talking about architecture, bonkers (saru) said the Chinese buildings were nothing like North American/ European building and I'm proving him wrong. What's wrong with using the Bird's Nest & other Olympic buildings as an example? I said Saru was subject to propoganda because I assume he gets all the information on how bad China is from his country's media, he is free to prove me wrong by telling me where he gets his information, and not by saying "you don't know where I get my news from, mmmmk?".

It's interesting that people are so determined to knock this project. I would like to revisit this in a few years. Yes, I'm sure there will be some problems, but such issues are essentially inherent into the construction of any building, no matter the size or speed at which is was assembled. My theory is that people are insecure, and fearful about their position in the world. There are several Indians, Chinese, Vietnamese, Pakistanis, any number of people, that could all do your job, and likely better than you, if they were given the chance. However, they will not get that chance, for merit of their poverty, skin colour, or nationality. With greater globalization (which is inevitable, whatever the left/right would like to say) there will be greater equality. It's not going to be a leveling up for us, no matter the value that Thomas Friedman wishes to place on skilled labor and "roll-up-your-sleeves" work ethic. It has actually been surprisingly easy for me to reconcile with the fact that I will not be able to take from the world as much as the members of the previous generation did. I hope that I'm never so greedy as to turn my back on the principles of equality, or so sure of my country's superiority over others to wait, fascinated, with the sadistic hope that my pretensions of superiority will be confirmed. Ok. Once you have obtained a job, you may speculate about "the world." Until then, you don't have a valid approach. And I agree with Dupin, even if I would personally bump the time table up about 6 days a faster. To the underlined part, that is just plain wrong. Things built in China are utter [cabbage], and due to your lack of experience in the world, just in general, shows itself more clearly now. These building flaws do not happen in say, oh I don't know, America, Europe. China is trying to cut corners, and eventually they'll cut something they wish they hadn't. [/hide] Mate, have you ever been to China before? Have you seen the buildings? Take the 2008 Olympics for an example, all the building were top of the class, safe and sound, cleverly designed. Don't talk [cabbage] about someone you've never seen before, k? Don't take the one-sided news you Americans recieve, its called propoganda, and I guess it's working. Why don't you get some experience on this subject before you start generalizing things. Well I know more than you think I know, so I guess I can talk [cabbage]. By the way, Canada boy, you don't know where I get my news from, so don't pretend to, mmmk? From what you wrote, it doesn't seem like you know alot. I was born in Beijing, raised there for 6 years, and gone back for 2 years in 2005-07. I've seen first hand the buildings there, mmmk? I live right next to the Forbidden Palace. Do you even know what that is? If you do, you wouldn't be talking [cabbage]. I suggest you look it up if you really don't know what it is. Also, ever heard of the Great Wall? Summer Palace? I've also lived in the States (Minnesota, 3 years ish) and here in Canada (Edmonton, in total about 7 years), and all I've seen are houses made out of wood that go on fire REALLY EASILY. Or the 3 story apartment buildings. @ Snipersas, same can be said about America, no? What do you think about in America when you say they have better architecture than China? Maybe stuff like the Pentagon? White House? etc? You surely don't talk about your average 2 story houses. If you want to compare average houses, then that's pretty much impossible, since China has no room to build them, and has to resort to high-rise buildings. Here's what average "houses" in China looked like before the population boom, maybe you oughta compare that. @ Mask, yes of course the whole point of the Olympics is to show the best of your country, what's wrong with that? It's propoganda in the way the whole world was there and a majority liked it? You know it wasn't only the Chinese government who said "OH, this building is top class!", and instead many foreigners who were there said the same?

Leafs played good tonight though. Tough for JSG to let in a weak one like that, but at least they're scoring.

Is Runescape (free worlds) really that popular as it appears?
I played F2P for a good 4 or 5 years. The ONLY thing that kept me in it was the PKing. Castle, hills, edge, varrock were awesome in f2p. I got members several months after Dec 2007, and I can say now that P2P is ALOT better than F2P. @OTM, i think it's just this forum that's giving you those thoughts. I don't know when it started, but it sure is getting more widespread nowadays.

What Weapon?
But OP doesn't have 80 dg, and it doesn't seem like he will for quite a while. IMO, go for the Z spear, it's more useful than Quyneax makes it out to be. Oh and sell your SS, it's useless and it will drop in price.

Favourite Godsword
Its a poll, not a questionnaire, differnt things. Heres an example of a questionnaire: whats your name? _________ What do you like to eat? __________ Why do you play Xbox? _________ This was one question and was an opening to a "general discussion". P.s. there is no need to rude about it... a simple "its a poll, all polls go here" would have been fine. Sorry to inform you, but lighthearted topics like this aren't allowed in general discussions. That place is for intense discussion about efficiency, the market, comparing items, etc.

Chaotic Rapier vs Longsword
I mean CStaff is good... it's just not good as the others. And yeah I have access to like maxed mage minus 3 or 4 attack... How is Cstaff worse than others at safe PvP? Magic is dominant at safe Pvp, therefore it only makes sense that the best staff in the game is one of the best safe PvP weapons. I got the staff and it certainly has not disappointed.

Dungeoneering Rants.
This, so much. People really need to realize armor has a MINIMAL effect. It's not going to do much to you, honestly. Lol yesterday I had a guy in my dungeon do this routine: "omg prom ore!" "quickchats his 90mining" "im gonna make armour for everyone" "quickchats his 98 smithing" "can someone make me an artisan pot? I can't make prom plates" "I made gloves and boots, put them on guys it makes the dung go faster." "tane, put on your boots and gloves." (I don't have 90 defence goddamnit.) The rest of us were trying to clear gds and stay alive, so I said "why don't you come clear gds instead?" And he said: "lol watch ill still get berserker" and he proceeded to plant 3 lycopus seeds and 2 winters grip seeds. And made 10 strong melee pots  Oh in the end he did get berserker, and had full prom armour, but at what cost? 1 death to each of my teammates from early gds, and me and another guy running out of prayer recharges. I didn't die though, skele trio never attacked me  What really ticked me off was he kept quick chatting his skills, I mean, get over yourself lol. Now I understand why making armour pisses people off.

Cannon till 99 Range - Advise?
I remember when caged ogres were the place every pure trained at. If you set up your cannon right, you can get 5 or 6 hits in per rotation.

Cannon till 99 Range - Advise?
You can try caged ogres, but that might require a quest which might ruin your 10 hp, I can't remember.

Beginner Dung question
You get exp by finishing a dungeon. Never use c2-c5, there is no reason to do so. When you start a party, you can check your floor progress by clicking on the "set floor" button. Do all the floors that do NOT have a checkmark next to it, and when you can't do anymore, press "reset" and start again. If your current dungeoneering level allows you to access a level, but you can't see it on your floor screen, then you must complete the floor before it again (best to do this on c1, as it is the fastest) before you can access it. Most people do small c1s (either solo or 5:1), and do larges for their last 5-10 floors, but since you're only 51, it will be hard to find large floors, so I suggest you solo until you get to level 60 ish. Then you can team up with others for floors 25-30 large. Also, 5:1 means a party of 5, but the dungeon difficulty is set to 1 person, it will give you very easy monsters, and this is done to speed up c1 rushes. 5:5 is almost always the ratio for large dungeons because it gives a bonus 20% exp roughly. Once you get the hang of everything, start keying your own dungeons on w117, and eventually you'll get better.

Starting Stealing Creation?
For fun. Ever since I finished construction, I never play to get 20k points per game anymore. I make runes, armour, pots and start barraging people at around 13:00, and end up with 15k-18k points.
-
Starting Stealing Creation?
You only need 60 in the gathering skills and crafting, which isn't extremely hard to get. For me, the most annoying thing about SC is being killed by barragers, so Fast SC is actually more fun in my opinion Oh well I'm one of those barragers I see why we have different views :P
-
Starting Stealing Creation?
The only flaw with this is playing normally you looking at hours of play to get enough to buy the tools you need. Fast Sc being skill only games end much faster and you get far more points and thus get the tools faster. Actually, if you don't have decent skills (I'd say at least all 60s), it's hard for you to get alot of points at fast sc if you don't know what your doing. And most of the times, the games take 15 minutes, unlike 12 they advertise.

9-Nov-2010 - Bank Op and Equip Screen Update (BOAESU)
Bad troll is bad. But to further destroy your attempts at making any sense whatsoever, the shield is still not free if you have any sense at all (which you probably don't). If you haven't realised, chaotics when bought come with an initial 20% charge. They DEGRADE, you know that right? And what does it cost to recharge? Not hopes and dreams.....No...This costs MONEY or DG tokens to recharge. 2M gp compared to 200k DG tokens. Either way it's not free. Don't get me wrong, you can pay 200k tokens to recharge your shield (from 0), and save yourself 2m. If you do, that's your own [developmentally delayed]-ed decision. I would much rather spend it on another chaotic/ability. Therefore no, this is not "about as free as it gets." If you want a free shield, get yourself a wooden shield. Go back to Tutorial Island while you're at it. So yeah, go ahead and waste your time. No wonder your sig says "I am not Golvellius the efficient," cause you clearly are NOT. It doesn't cost 200k dg tokens to recharge, it costs 20k tokens and 200k gp, which is not alot. So what if he's not efficient? His decision, not yours. Jeez, not everyone has to kill TDs/frosties to make up for lost time if they buy a dungeoneering shield, seriously...

Pro DGing
But sometimes the mono spawns 4 133 shades at once, and once you let it die, it spawns level 67s and 90s after you reactivate it. Weird huh?
