Blastbox might make for a KO if you don't use it the entire fight... equip it when they're least expecting it and the extra damage could push them over... Of course, once they know you have a blastbox they won't let their HP get below 200. Im not trying to ko the full runers with mage here, either hit them hard until they take armor off, and g2h them or just outlast them and biind/blast them while they run ;) Did great on an old pure with this method, it can only be better with higher hits and g2h :P I'll be laughing when you lose 140k tokens (close to a chaotic), on a setup which will more than likely be ineffective because of safing and the like. That was very informative. He's right though. I've done my fair share of f2p pking back in the days, and unless low level full rune'rs with 600 ish hp have stopped safing/running, then you're never going to get many kills as you would with just regular melee + g2h for the KO.

Oh wow, I was trying out soloing but I was getting 6 floors done in 30 mins. Though I think my times got messed up with Stomp that tricky basterd, and maybe the Skinweaver. What was the xp like for you? Are you sure you're doing c1? They definitely should not be taking that long. And those are times are for floors w/o stomp. XP was about 700-1000 per Why does stomp take longer? I'm wondering how fast you can kill him with mage in a team on 5.

Opinion. Care to back it up? This is a fact thread. Here's a fact: you're a tool. For the evidence to back that up, I present you with.. No, I'm actually a pre-law student. As such, opinions, without either observation, proof, evidence, etc, mean NOTHING to me, nor do they add anything to this thread. Your opinion without basis is WORTHLESS here. This is a FACT thread, an OBSERVATION thread, and any OPINION should have something to back it up. Not just an IMO. As such, show WHY you think so, or I'l say again, its your opinion, and I won't even consider it without some reason WHY I should do so. For example, I know blue party hat is the most valuable phat. I can see that from forums, w2, the GE graph (Which only relates to GE price not street) as well as cheating sites where people pay far more for a blue then for a purple. As such, I can back up my observation. Your opinion has numerous logical issues. First, what do you mean by merchant? Most people mis define merchent as anyone who uses the GE to make money, eg manipulators, etc. They aren't all the same. Merchents work on supply and demand, as well as the ability to "snipe" certain items. As well, there is another logical flaw, saturation. Phat trades aren't rare. If they happened as you said, soon the merchents would own so many Phats that no more would be traded in even close to similar numbers to what they currently are. Etc etc. In short, what you describe is NOT how the market works, and although you may have an opinion that says so, your opinion is WRONG. There are opinions, "Castle wars is a more fun activity then slayer" "Fire surge is the coolest looking spell". Then there are FACTS. "Extreme potions are more powerful then super potions" "The Whip is better to slay with then the dragon mace, after 70 attack". Etc. I could go into more reasons, but there shouldn't be any need to at this point. Someone needs to stop talking like they're on top of the world :roll: And calm down a little.

I agree Cstaff is mainly for PvP (safe), you shouldn't really be worrying about costs when you use mage IMO, you should just let yourself go all out, it's just that much fun :thumbup:

Why would you want someone else to set your goal? Just quit if you don't enjoy it. If you do want a goal, you should max out.

I still had a whip in my bank, so I was able to slash that web from the Ardy tele lever. Regardless of whether chaotic protects over whip, if you die with a chaotic in your hand, and a whip in your bank, you still have a whip when you respawn. And if you forget to take your fury off or something, you probably have a chaotic weapon sitting 1 web slash away in your grave. Besides, whip is usuful even after chaotic weapons. For spirit mage tasks, you still 2-3 hit the mages with a whip or a chaotic rapier. No point in wasting rapier charge on them when it will only save you maybe 2 minutes of combat time per task. @posters above me You need to slash a web with something. There is lots of stuff that you can slash webs with, but for a rushed hunt through your bank, a whip is probably one of the first things you will think of. This special case applies only when you die in deep wildy, but it is how I nearly lost my chaotic. I was on college net, which is notoriously laggy. I couldn't eat fast enough, and I was at half health before i realize it, because of lag. I grabbed a whip and junk armor and made it back to my grave with like 1:45 left. Didn't bother to think about the web, but I realized when I got out there that if I hadn't brought a whip, I would not have brought any weapon, and would have had to turn around and try to get something to slash the web. When you use that lever to tele out of the wild, you don't land in edgeville either, you land in Ardy, which is pretty far away from a bank. Boosts from equipment only affect 1 target Boosts from increased magic level affect all targets After some basic testing I found that (heuristically) CStaff isn't substantially better than SOL. Still, not a bad 4th-5th option and I think it's better than the shields, provided that arc/spec/dfs aren't expensive for your budget. I don't see what's so bad even if it only affects 1 target. Is it because you want them to die at once, you know its impossible, they almost all died at different times. Using a cstaff would obviously be better than a SOL.

Actually, damage boosts only work on one target with multi-target spells. Arcane stream is still a really, really useful item otherwise. Arcane stream gives a +14 magic boost too, I never mage without it. :shades:

Burke's trades haven't been very helpful. It's hard for the fans (I'm not one btw) to see Burke trade away draft picks for players when they're trying to rebuild, so I guess it's misleading. Also, Oilers just scored 3 straight to tie with the Canucks :thumbsup: I don't understand this attitude at all. He traded a pick for kessel. That pick ended up being a player with some promise who may score 20 goals this year. Kessel is 40 goal scorer practically guaranteed, and I beleive if he has the right line-mates he can push 50. It's not like he's trading draft picks for 35 year old veterans. The entire team is very young and won't be competitive for another year or two, yet already we've seen a significant improvement over last year (even if the past few games haven't been great). Tell that to the rest of the fans :razz:, btw, tonights game on TSN was pretty good. Leafs almost won it, but a phantom crosschecking call on Lebda ruined it. One thing I don't get about Ron Wilson is why would he play John Mitchell, he sucks balls. Too bad leafs lost, i thought they deserved to win.
