Behind The Scenes November
Kinda contradicting yourself there. Ok, MAYBE occult isn't THAT high level, but considering it goes from 70-93, and was released after the skill has only been there for a couple months, I'd consider it high level content. But saying warped floors isn't high level, what? It starts from 95 and goes to 120 for heaven's sake! How much higher do you want it? There's tons of incentive, such as getting better primal weapons, purchasing different chaotic weapons (I mean, who can only settle for just one, when they're so damn awesome?!) Don't you think Jagex will release rewards from 85+? Do you honestly think they're finished with a skill that's only been out for 6 months? This isn't construction/smithing we're talking about, this is the supposed end-game skill. Speaking of construction, I do understand how much TIME goes into maxing out a skill. It took me a year of on and off training to get to 99 and construction is one of the fastest skills to train. But I don't see what your trying to say. My point is there are certainly enough high level updates recently and you have plenty of content to play around with. There's a difference between adding crap to grind and incentive. The warped floors are the equivalent of a new potion to make- okay, cool, but in the end I'm still grinding for nothing. If they released rewards above 85, that would be like untradable potions for herblore, to complete the analogy. It would give me a reason to grind to get something neat. Dungeoneering currently has grind content all the way to 120, which is great, but if the incentives stop at 85 it still feels like a gigantic treadmill. Surely you can see the difference between training incentive and training method? Wait, you don't see getting different chaotic weapons as incentive? That's not my problem then. And warped floors just speeds up the "grind" (I wouldn't call dungeonerring with a team a grind), getting you to your items faster. Actually, I'm not even against high level content so I don't know why I'm argueing with you on that. Eventually, they'll add more, and I look forward to those updates, but you guys sure act like spoiled kids rather than 18 year old college students.

Behind The Scenes November
It is not a tiny chunk of updates, Those were the list of GAME UPDATES from Nov 2nd all the way back to July, it is also the first page in the archive currently. I listed it merely to show that LATELY Jagex has done plenty of high leveled updates, and that includes the elite TT, the elite Dairies, all the new dungeoneering floors, the Void quests (the last one is listed as Grandmaster I think?), which is PLENTY of content. Obviously, there will be more mid level content than high level content, but Green was complaining about how high level players don't get any updates, which I proved to be wrong with the list of recent updates. Even if Void quests are not high level by your standards (what, is Grandmaster not high enough for you?), you are forgetting about the updates that apply to everyone, such as Conquest (the void deflector has changed many high level setups for bosses), reward dungeons (frost dragons, hell you can't even access frost dragons Obt, nor do the elite diaries for that matter), etc. Just because you might not enjoy an update, doesn't mean it's geared towards low level noobs, it's your own choice not to access the new content. @Green, you don't have access to warped floors yet, what are you waiting for! The new content just came out today! So, honestly, I don't see any reason for you guys to complain at all. I never even mentioned that all content should be available to me. I was merely saying you guys sure complain alot with no real basis.

Behind The Scenes November
We haven't had a new boss since TDs, and before that corp. There are no high level minigames. High level gear hasn't been updated since the release of dungeoneering. I'm 99 slayer. I don't PvP. Meanwhile low levels have like 200 quests they can do within a few month's worth of training, all kinds of stuff to unlock, plus all the training they need to do to reach high level content. It's not as if low levels will ever run out of stuff to do before becoming relatively high level. You're acting under the supposition that the game consists of two types of people- low and high levels. There's only one kind of person playing, their level depends on how long they've been playing. High level content benefits every single person by giving them a goal. Low level content is trash for high levels. Corp is still the hardest boss outside Daemonheim, no? And he drops Elys/Divines which are worth hundreds of millions; All minigames (especially combat related ones, namely SC, Cwars) are high leveled, since they dominate the game, low levels in castle wars stand no chance; the release of Dungeoneering wasn't that long ago, it's only been several months; You're 99 slayer, yes, but judging from the attitudes on these boards, most of you high levels will train slayer past 99 because it's just THAT AWESOME  ; and if you don't PvP, that's no one's fault but your own. Also, elite players are a minority, Jagex has to cater to the majority of mid level players so they can enjoy the game. They can't do stuff like GWD (because elite players will crash them for efficiency  ), they can't play effictively in minigames since high levels dominate, they can't Dungeoneer efficiently, etc. Thus, Jagex wants them to have stuff to do so they keep playing and eventually get to a higher level. Also, most updates lately haven't been especially geared towards low-mid players, I took a look at the first page in the news archive for game updates and here's what I found (most recent first) Archive: Warped floors - pretty elite I would say Halloween event - for everyone New combat sounds - for everyone Make-x + Sling/wind rush - minor update for brand new players Charm sprite - mid level Void Stares Back - high level Gunnar's Ground - low level Z-buffering - for everyone Elite diaries - for elite high levels Bonus XP - for everyone, but the higher level you are, the more you get out of it Court Cases - for those who like to role-play Conquest - for everyone Cryptic Clue fest - i don't know what this is Occult floors - high level A Void Dance - lead up to Void Stares Back Elite Treasure trails - high to elite levels Reward Dungeons - low to high level. How can you honestly say they give high levels less content that lower leveled players? If you say minigames/events don't count, that's just your opinion, there are plenty of elite high level players who enjoy these updates.

The Obligatory Ice Hockey Thread
Burke's trades haven't been very helpful. It's hard for the fans (I'm not one btw) to see Burke trade away draft picks for players when they're trying to rebuild, so I guess it's misleading. Also, Oilers just scored 3 straight to tie with the Canucks

What was the first thing you did when you got members for the first time?
I did lost city (at level 93  ), and I still have some dramen branches as a souvenir.

Behind The Scenes November
A quest for which a combat level of 100+ is recommended was the best example of a recent low level update you could find? The void quests require both a low combat level and low non-combat stats. It's a low-level update. No, that's medium-level at the lowest. If that's medium level (which is a reasonable categorization, sure), then low level updates never, ever need to happen. Leveling is so quick before that point, and there's so much existing content catering to that level group already, that anyone would be mid level by the time they finish it all. Mid level has a ton of content too, high level is the only level group that legitimately has very few things to do. In all honesty, I see this kind of complaint very often. How can you complain when you have all those bosses, all those minigames + high level gear, all those good moneymaking methods, time to skill, SLAYER (don't you guys just love this skill so much that you'd bend over for it? At least that's how I'm interpreting it.), PvP, etc. etc. Enough whining buddy, and go do the warped floors that come out tomorrow.

Tip.It Times - 31st October 2010
Just wondering, how would you pick a team? You won't know how good at dungeoneering they are until you actually do the dungeon with them...

question about links
Basically, when you reply, click the link button (the one that looks like a chain), and it should have a box for URL, and a box that says "link text", that is where you put the text you want to show up. It should be on the signature edit as well. EDIT: Oops, meant to put this in with the above post

Are there any other dung groups besides 117, DGE, and 3BO?
Well maybe I should try again, I'm at 85 dg and never used another world besides 117

Been gone for 2 years..
I have a feeling you are trolling, noone has that bad grammar without doing it on purpose :/ Maybe he's dyslexic or something... and it's not trolling when his post helped more than yours  @Kirill, depending on how good your stats are (good imo is 80+ ish), try out dungeoneering as a start. It is the new skill that was added into the game, and is pretty fun and poses a challange :shades: . If that's not your cuppa tea, play some minigames, stealing creations (i dunno if you were around for that update), castle wars (got updated several months ago) and fist of guthix.

Lol, people on 148 don't even accept me and I'm level 125, I doubt they'll accept kirby at level 97 tbh.

Oo warped floors! Time to start training dungeoneering again, but w117 sucks :wall: , I wonder how long I can handle all the ragequitters..

Mage Slaying
Get an arcane stream, it will help greatly. Spells to consider are slayer dart (cheap and effective), fire wave, I don't really reccommend surges because they are very expensive and don't hit that much extra.

27-Oct.-2010 Emergent Gameplay letter
So emergent gameplay is all about efficiency then. Either that or it's not in the spirit of the game, example: tie minigaming, 76king, 1 iteming, etc.

Members free trial.
If you're not going to get membership after, then just have some fun, play some minigames (castle wars, stealing creations), although it might be difficult at your levels, it is definately more enjoyable than offering bones on an altar IMO.

27-Oct.-2010 Emergent Gameplay letter
Yeah . . . no one put down anyone in this thread (except for Golvellius attempting to troll, as per usual). You're mad because a couple players voiced their opinions on role-playing, and you somehow inferred that it MUST be because it's inefficient to do so. The problem that Grimy, Stone, and Green have with the dev-blog is that it portrays ROLE-PLAYING as EMERGENT GAMEPLAY. That's it. There's no need to have an anti-efficiency attack over it. And a few more of these for emphasis:     Well, we obviously see it differently because we have different views, so don't     at me. Also, some role playing is considered emergent gameplay, depending on how you look at it.

27-Oct.-2010 Emergent Gameplay letter
Okay, seriously, did you guys click on the wrong thread or something? You two are the first to bring up efficiency. i don't even... OK, MAYBE it is role-playing, maybe it's emergent gaming, we don't know whether or not Jagex intended for people to have wrestling matches in a POH for example. Right? I brought up efficiency because it really disturbs me the first couple of posts by Grimy, Stonewall and Green summed up says "this is wasting time, emergent gaming is cannoning in singles, using BOBs when training prayer, etc". Why is it wasting time? I don't get this, we play the game to kill time, so why is something fun to a group of people considered wasting time? See what I mean? Everywhere I go, I see people dismissing others because they don't play "efficiently" but instead they play their own way. Maybe it is role playing, but who cares? IMO, this type of role playing is emergent because Jagex never intended you to, for example, open up a restaurant in your POH. If you don't find it fun to play inefficiently, you don't have to put down others to stroke your ego.

27-Oct.-2010 Emergent Gameplay letter
Not everyone plays the game to max out and boss hunt so they can buy divines and phats  Not everyone is uber efficient at everything they do  Other people like to enjoy other elements of the game. For example, sometimes I just like to relax in the games room and play some draughts or runeversi. So don't be surprised when there are players who enjoy this type of emergent gameplay with their friends.

My goodness, this is a completely different game...
Haha, it's what most threads in Gen. Discussion are like these days
