I always go for something unique. Whatever happened to creativity and originality :mellow: Also something else, I think the movement squares are really messed up. I mean, walking 6 diagonals is way longer than 6 up/down. Then should change this, or make the grid hexagonal, like in HoMM3. I recall that Mod Mark H saying that he is used to playing grid like that...maybe that is how all British board game works? You mean he's used to a square or hexagonal grid? IMO, I think the hexagonal grid would be better, because it allows better control, as in more directions to go.

How the hell so? You can be poor and still have decent gear. (Eg not fally shield 3 but defender) Someone's inferiority complex is coming out it seems. I was going to write that in my first post but then I just couldn't be bothered. So what if he had a Falador Shield 3? They're similar to Adamant Shields but have the best Prayer bonus for the offhand slot. He is praying, so +7 Prayer Bonus could be useful to him. But anyway, I'ma shutup now cause I don't want to be the centre of more flamefests (and I've said what I've wanted to say) ;_; Lol, this topic is going to be them so-called "elitists" posting pictures of people wearing anything other than the "best" gear; making fun of other players because they don't have the "correct" gear for a situation is low...

Bombard could be very useful as it turns some 2 hit kos into 1 hit kos. Alot of people never see it coming, and oncec you snipe some archers/mages with your scouts, you will have plenty of command points to use bombard+charge+battlecry in one turn. So is everyone using at least 2-3 champs now? That's not good, because soon it'll just be 3 champs vs 3 champs lol. Personally I like to switch up my troops and I only use 1 champ.

halberds :thumbup: battle cry takes care of most of there health and champs can't counter. use vigilance and the champs dead if they attack you. and they don't have enough movement to escape the range of halberd. Regeneration says hi, and recharges faster than your battle cry. How I was able to beat a guy using 3 champs + 3 scouts (along with regen, charge, chastise and vigilance): I had 1 champ, 5 scouts, 2 fss, 1 halberd, 1 knight. First, I kill all of his scouts while only sacrificing 2 of my own. Then I lured 1 champ with a scout and charge+battlecry with a champion to kill his champ. Then stalled for more command points (he was stalling for charge), and used battlecry + charge on my knight, along with 1 bombard on his champion = another 1 hit kill. Finally, I sacrificed my knight to lure his champ into charge + battlecry range after more stalling. He called me a cheater because "I had more troops than him" So just note another way to kill champs: bombardment + charge + battlecry + knight. Really loving this game now, haven't lost yet and got all my ranks legit. :grin:

Aaaaaaand that's what will ruin this minigame. Hope Jagex catches on quick and fixes this.

Yea, this last guy i played, he said "I just want to shield, i hate this game". So I decided to have some fun with him :razz: My knight & champ vs his champ, I let him kill my champion, stalled with knight for some command points, then boom! Bombard his champ, Charge + Battle cry my knight, a 500 KO. He was really mad, and started to call me a cheater and report me :mellow:

This is really depressing to see: The game has been out for less than a day, and people at the minigame are starting to find ways to get fast ranks. I mean, enjoy the game for god's sake! Stop going up to people and go "hey can you let me win? just let me kill your scout..." Now, I don't even know if it works that way (like each person has 1 scout and the other guy lets him kill his scout to lose), but Jagex should do something, or else this is gonna become another MA, games room, trouble brewing <_<

O hey it's this topic again.

I think construction is around 4k planks/hr, never timed it myself but I can use 1 sc hammer (410 planks) in around 6 or 7 minutes, so 10 hammers thats 4100 planks. Sounds about right.

I think i've got a new favourite minigame, so long stealing creation! Only thing I don't like is the slow speed at which units move, if they changed it to run, then this game would be even better!

From what I've read, sounds like a rip off of HoMM, but hey, those were great games so I sure hope this is fun too.

This is really cool! Been interested in the space beyond for the longest time. Although I haven't been reading about it much recently. I can just imagine what the possibilities could be if there were other systems like ours. It is pretty different though, since most of the "worlds" there are less than 1.4 AUs away, but still awesome.

Yeah but try buying a large amount of planks now. :unsure: But IMO con is not worth wasting the bonus on, since you can get the boost with SC any time. But building larders and doors at the same pace, larders are gonna be slower than doors. No, letting your servant convert logs to planks is the fastest possible experience, and is also significantly cheaper. I don't know why people don't know this. The gp/xp rate differs by about 10gp/xp (for using planks) and 6-7 gp/xp (for using logs). Mahogany planks are over 20gp/xp but logs are about 15 gp/xp. That blew my mind - can servant unnote and plank logs in one step? No, it requires two trips. But depending on which servant you use and depending how well you know the method, using the servant doesn't take any additional time at all. You can pretty much continuously make larders. I'm not sure about oak doors or mahog tables, but I don't think the delay is anywhere close to banking time.

I'm neutral, but that doesn't mean I'm gonna let this weekend go to waste :shades: Got around 3k magic potions to be made, was gonna make them last week, but went away before I had time. Now I'm glad I didn't stay up a night to finish them :razz:
