  1. OMG, the sara hoodie repels dragons! DO WANT! but I don't have money.
  2. It's gonna be hard since the price range of all the rewards is really large. I have done several elites and most of the time, if the special TT item is something worth little, then I get a couple hundred grand on average. I've also gotten an ancient body, a spiked legs kit, bandos chaps, so.... averaging to several hundred grand per clue? And it takes me about 15-20 minutes to finish an elite clue, roughly the same time it takes to finish a level 3, really depends on how many puzzles I get, celtic knots are pretty easy.
  3. You get less nests for mahogany. Stick with maples.
  4. Yea I'd also like to see some competition. Like before, with the challanging/ pre-arranged fights, etc; only this time, it'd be more formal
  5. Easy to talk to, fun in the class, stories of themselves. Generally I think a good teacher would also be easy going, kinda relaxed, but still cares enough. Some teachers I have just teach out of the textbook/novels, then gives us work time. They don't communicate with us besides the curriculum, and i find that really dull. Good luck if you actually become a teacher though, i think it's a cool job :shades:
  6. I have actually said MULTIPLE times already that if you find being efficient to be fun, then great. But don't push it on other people. *Cough* No one is...Unless they ASK. Why give BAD advice in H&A when you can give GOOD advice. If you want to give advice about what you find fun, make sure you SAY SO. People making wild claims that CLS>CR when slaying, when WE'VE PROVEN OTHERWISE are going to get lambasted, and proven wrong. Same for moneymaking methods, etc. That's fine, but it's in game when you're using a certain method and you're called a noob because you're not using the most efficient. Many members here have given examples. If you're ASKING for help that's fine, I'm not talking about that, I'm talking about general gameplay. And don't try to pretend that Efficiency isn't forced on people, I'd go through this thread picking out quotes but it's late and I'm tired. Exactly, I'm backing up Rach on everything she says. OT: where I stand on efficiency: Tbh, I don't care much about it. You can be as efficient as you like, but don't put down other people for not being as efficient as you. If something that is efficient isn't enjoyable for me, and no matter how fast it lets you make money/train skills, I never do it.
  7. I like Wendy's. I think it's better than both of those.
  8. What's a Big N Tasty? Is that only in the US?
  9. Mk, pulli was being a hypocrite, but I believe some others were too. I don't think he just said "don't project your own lifestyle onto others" for no reason.
  10. Don't stop posting just for me please, I'm just saying what I think. Being efficient is about saving time, that I know, but how do you save time? By making money faster (and more often than not, faster means more grinding) of course! So what are you trying to say? , no that doesn't offend me. Because you just went to an extreme, and it comes off as being ignorant. You know sure as hell I wasn't talking about people comparing whips to addy javelins, you know sure as hell I meant the pages of rambling on threads about whip or gs, cls or raper, etc. so what are you saying? I don't think you got what I was saying. Are you saying 15k/hr is still too fast for an average person?
  11. I'm good at memorising people's names. I'm good at singing songs on rock band, very loudly, even when there's people around. One time, I sang Down with the Sickness on expert, got around 92 percent, and lost my voice for a couple days after :shades:
  12. @ Kimberly + Glasscube: I think my point wasn't taken. My point wasn't people giving advice such as grinding frost dragons. My point was how those same people who are calling pulli a hypocrite for saying "don't project your own lifestyle on others". Now don't get me wrong, maybe pulli is a hypocrite, but I'm just pointing out how all the efficiency first players also like to "project their own lifestyle into others". They come along onto a nice thread right? Then start blabbering about efficiency this, efficiency that. The way I look at it, efficiency is excellent if you can stand grinding. Basically, all forms of making money is a grind, save farming herbs (but that is also sometimes a chore). If you can grind away at an activity for hours even if it isn't fun, but having the thought that you'll be millions richer is motivating you, then by all means, go for it. But for others, like me, who can't stay at one boring task for long, I doubt we care about efficiency. I doubt we're going to log on for an hour at a time, just to kill green dragons. Maybe for some emergency cash (say your a couple mill short of some dragon claws), but I'd rather spend that time doing something I like. Be it playing minigames like trouble brewing, stealing creations, even the burthorpe games room for heavens sake! Anyways, I'm not saying I'm better because I don't grind, because I'm not. I can't compete with maxed out players at bosses (which is why I don't go often), but I can still have fun playing the game. What I can't stand is alot of threads turning into efficiency arguements, "oh this way to kill bandos is better, no that way is better, blah blah blah." So, before you guys go around calling people hypocrites, take a look in the mirror first. @jsboutin: 30k/hr is way over a relaxed gaming style. I average 30k exp /hr and most of that comes from fast but expensive skills like construction, herblore and summoning. If you were to estimate, especially for a new player starting out, 30k/hr is too much. Maybe more like 15k/hr.
  13. If you guys think he's projecting his life into yours... then I think your hyprocritical too. Take a look around in the forums. The amount of posts that go along like this are many: Q: how should I train slayer? A: Cannon, piety, overloads, turmoil, etc. Q: how should I train [insert expensive skill]? A: make money at gwd, frost dragons, tds, or green dragons if your a lower level. Then use the fastest way of buying that skill. Whatever happened to suggesting other stuff? And when some people do suggest other stuff, it gets put down with "waste of time, blahblahblah is more efficient". Remember that whole 'killing level 2 men' debacle? Yea, you tell me pulli is projecting his life into yours... just makes me laugh.
  14. I liked the Bonus weekends, and I hope more will come in the future. I really don't get why some people support updates that make it easier to train a skill, and is all about efficiency, while laughing and putting down others who like to do things an old fashioned way, but HATES these double exp weekends. I mean they make skills faster to train, and that's what it's all about right?
  15. From what I understand, the only thing you make money off of are claws and the armour pieces, which are pretty rare drops. If you go through a dry streak, you won't make money at all. So, it might not be worth it if you can't stick at it for long enough for it to balance out. But maybe you'll get very lucky! who knows :shades:

I was under the impression that you would spam the scroll yourself. So wouldn't having it in the helmet be kinda random? Wouldn't you want to have it in your inventory?
  17. Yea, them soldiers are what i used from 40 summoning ish to 62. Also try ct daganoths, greater demons, nechraeyls.
  18. turmoil/ pietying? I don't think hellhounds hit very high, so the bunyip might heal enough. But the anti dragon fire shield? Here's my theory. He was killing iron dragons, finished the task, got a new hellhound task, and decided to kill some before running out of supplies.
  19. Maybe try it w/o the sextant/chart/watch. I have no idea, just suggesting random things hehe.
  20. Yea, go with larders. Also tip: Bring a sc picaxe/hatchet wielded, so when you run out of hammers, you can morph that into a hammer. That way you can bring 8 hammers per trip!
  21. I am old school in that I train skills I like, I don't grind them for the sake of 99s. I am not old school in that I started in 03/04 ish, not 01.
  22. Omg, he's back lol. Btw, claws are so awesome, but i agreee with the dbaxe and dhallys.
  23. You'll need around 700 i think.
  24. Or, he could chin nechs and make some profit/ little loss, and get around 190k exp/hr AND crimson charms.
  25. I have this exact problem, everytime I'm with a team, almost always no one enters another room before anyone else. I almost always have to go in first, just so the rest of them can get through <_<
