Death Note
I think it was of the best shows I've ever seen. The beginning was awesome, the middle flagged a bit and then [hide=]L died[/hide] and those few episodes were good, then it got slow again until the last few episodes, which were amazing. Still an awesome show.

When I listen to music I shake
I do that too! And the title of this thread has to be the most random thing I've read all week.

What do you think will end the human race?
I doubt anything short of the death of the sun will be able to destroy the human race completely. Unless we evolve to a point that we are considered a different species. At the rate technology is going, we'll be colonized on other planets and such before global warming (dumb argument anyway) or pandemic rises up. That makes the most likely scenario something akin to I, Robot or Terminator.

Attention all Offtopic Users...Project Offtopic is Underway
I do remember a discussion about the purported existence of such a forum. I think someone may have even confirmed it. . . That turned pretty nasty, whether the thing exists or not. Suffice it to say, people weren't happy with the idea of an elitist section of TIF.

Offical NDS thread.
Did you ever try out LostMagic? I remember you saying you would on another thread. I can't gaurantee you'll like it though.

Your favorite book/book series
This line pretty much sums mine up. To be honest I cried towards the end of Firesong. Its so moving. along with The edge chronicles series, all 12 of them, but especially the first 6. And also the Abhorsen series (i.e. sabriel, lirael, abhorsen and maybe beyond the wall.) also Shade's Children by Garth Nix is awesome. Pure awesome. Have you read the Dark Tower series? It's also done by Nix. There's six in all, but I got mine in two books, three in each. If you like his stuff, I recommend this saga. Speaking of Nix, does anyone here read his Keys to the Kingdom series? I'm not sure if it's finished, up to Saturday, I think. Agree with all of Jaziek's, though Firesong was a bit wacky. The Keys to the Kingdom are up to Saturday, which will be released August 1st. Good books, though Lady Friday read like too much filler.

Contest: Write 30 000 words in 30 days
I love you. Unfortunately, all of my creative juices have been poured into a steadily growing 200+ page project as of late, so I don't know whether I'll be able to find the time to make something completely new.

What are your talents?
Hm, well. I'm a fast learner if I care enough about the subject. I think that is why I'm such a good writer, though I keep learning more daily and I don't think I'll ever be as good as I want to be. And I can juggle.

Star Wars: The Famous Legacy
She got fat... Really? http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Carrie_Fisher She lost some weight then. In the interviews on the DVD trilogy, she is indeed fat.

Your favorite book/book series
Apparently you haven't read many books. Hell, even Harry Potter, as dull as the books were, kept me reading because I wanted to see who won and how, and what happened to everyone Regardless of your opinion on whether the books are dull, I agree that HP has some excellent, 3-dimensional characters that are portrayed as very human and the reader does care what happens to them. It seems that Twilight is to be made into a movie. I've seen some mention of it on this thread, and I don't want to offend anyone but I've heard that those books are really bad. Like, Inheritance-level bad*, or worse. Is there anyone who has read the books who can give me an idea if this is true? Try to be as objective as possible, though I know bias is going to swing it regardless. *I will gladly explain to anyone who disputes the claim that Inheritance is terrible, but for now I'm going to let it lie.

Greatest Invention
Written language. There's no telling what sort of knowledge, including other inventions, could have been lost without a way to record it.

I just remembered The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Nighttime. That book holds the answer to life. I am going to perish in everlasting fire for forgetting about it.

Guitar Hero/Rock Band Discussion thread
The impossible has happened. Well, first of all I 5-starred Impulse, but that's not what I'm talking about. If anyone is familiar with that song, they should know about that crazy part at the end of the first little solo section, right before the chugging. Looks like the intro to TTFAF. (G-Y-G-Y-G-B or something like that, then R-Y-R-B-R-O I think.) Well, I hit all of those on one of my attempts. I have no idea how I did it, I thought I was just flailing, but my fingers must have speed-sightread. I felt like God had possessed me.

-.- Double -.- I can't even four-star that song. Plus it has the most puffed up egotistical lyrics ever. I despise. EDIT: BTW, FC number twelve: Lay Down \

Children growing up to fast?
My older cousin gave her son a phone at four years old. It was just one of those little programmable Firefly phones, but I was still like. . . Wtf. If your kid ever finds himself in a situation where he needs a cell phone to contact you at four years old, you need to consider parenting lessons. Me, my first phone wasn't granted me until halfway through freshman year in high school, and even then I had to bother my parents to no end. I was getting tired of having to borrow other people's cells. But that was really necessity. I don't see why you need a phone of your own when you're still young enough to only be going to friend's houses or ferried around with a chaperone. Land lines do still exist.

Know any artists that other people should know?
Black Tide. I picked up their single, "Shockwave," from iTunes when it was a free download and was impressed, especially considering they are all under 20. I have yet to listen to the album they released in March, but I would like to check it out if the single was any indication of what to expect.

What Is Your Most Favourite Song?
Song: Can't Stop Artist: Red Hot Chili Peppers Album: By the Way I don't think this song will ever be replaced no matter how much music I listen to.

Your favorite book/book series
It is epic fail that so few people have read those books, much less mentioned them on this thread. They have a place on my headboard with all my favorites. Absolutely nothing. No questions answered, no closure on any characters other than the Baudelaires and the Count, and even for them hardly worth calling that. I wanted to burn the book when I was finished, I was so pissed.

Music genres you Can't stand?[flame war=ban]
Any sub-genre of metal beyond some heavy and doom metal. Emo/Screamo and the Jonas Brothers-esque ilk as well. I would also say rap, but there are a few songs that I could stand to listen to, and some that I actually like. Like "No Handlebars" . But I've never really tried listening to rap beyond what I hear on the radio or around others.

Hancock
Wow, I heard from my cousin that it's really good, but I see mixed reviews here. Sort of like Cloverfield was, love it or hate it. (Loved Cloverfield.) I dunno whether I should see this or not.

Teen Decapitated At Six Flags
Hey, look, some kid got himself decapitated. Last year. That girl who got her feet cut off, that happened last June. I remember discussing that event with friends over Key Lime Pie when it was still actually news. EDIT: Whoops, it looks like I was mistaken. I was thinking of a very similar event that happened on a very similar ride at PKI. Bad wording on the part of the article as well.
