What grinds your gears?
Rushrock, are you a freshman? 'Cuz it's pretty hard to put things into perspective when you're a freshman trying to defend them. Trust me, once get out of that year you realize that freshmen are among the most annoying things on the planet >.> If you're not, ignore what I just said and we'll agree to disagree.

What grinds your gears?
No one really "hates freshmen" anymore, as evidenced by the sheer lack of real hazing going on nowadays [at least in my area]. Still, doesn't change the fact that they're annoying as frikkin' hell; as Nadril said, they're still in the 'elite, kings of the school' eight grade attitude when they arrive, and generally aren't all that mature to go with their elitism. So ya, they're just... really annoying. And when you become a sophomore, you realize just how annoying you were as a freshman when experiencing the behavior of the new ones  . Which then prompts the general dislike of sophomores as well, as they pick on the freshmen a lot :-k .

What grinds your gears?
1. Bad grammar. I can not stand to read anything that doesn't flow and is a struggle to understand. 2. The expression "I couldn't care less" constantly being said "I could care less." Seriously, how hard is it to actually think about the meaning of what you are saying? Th-th-th-th-th-that's all, folks!

Halo!!!
As much as I hate the 'blend the render!' comments that come up in every single topic here, without fail, this time I actually have to agree. The blur works reasonably tell on his helmet and shoulder, bu the arms and guns just look really bad. You can tell that they weren't cut out completely, and the previous color scheme contrasts badly with the green. Otherwise it is pretty good.

What would you do without the internet?
Man that things going to be a pain in the [bleep]. Yeah, I'm gonna pop in a pizza and get on that. . . Definitely not something to leave until 9 o'clock tonight  .

What would you do without the internet?
Like now, I have a 100+ question take-home Java exam sitting next to me, but I really don't feel like doing it. I would definitely not procrastinate as much.

Count yourself lucky you can't die over the intraw3bs. Have mercy, I'm pretty sure he has no clue what he's talking about.

A debate, Heart or Brain?
I still don't get what exactly the question is here. Are we being asked whether we live by passion or logic, or which organ is more imprtant, or somewhere in between? :-s I'm thinking passion vs. logic is the one that makes the most sense.

Freedom
See, I always thought people were given the right to revolt if the government was unacceptable. Maybe that wasn't Locke, though....unless you're talking about actual government instead of Lockean theory. Yes, Locke did maintain that the people hold the right to overthrow the government and start over if it strayed beyond the reasonable limits of its power. But even Locke would agree that such an idea in modern society is entirely unfeasible. A radical change in government, perhaps, but certainly not a complete disestablishment. Government is too deeply ingrained into humanity for that to happen.

would you die for your beliefs?
How ironic. Two posts before, there are posts about thread necromancy.

U.S bankrupt in T minus....
There is little doubt that the US is the most powerful country as well. There's a reason that the President of the USA is the most powerful office in the world.

no i wasnt saying my hair isnt long :P i was saying its not as long as Sue_Kitsu hair, yet, ima grow it way longer haha. so, when you grow your hair, just part it. thats what i do when i straighten it Yeah, if you want to grow it out start parting it when it gets to your eyes. You'll have to fight it at first, but eventually it will settle that way. This is what mine looks like now:

have you ever broke the rules?
My old grade school had that rule. A bit annoying since I started to grow it out around seventh grade. . . then had to get it cut for about the fourth time before graduation. I looked so [developmentally delayed]ed with my hair freshly butchered for graduation pics :x . It's never been shorter than my collar since I started high school though \ .

No, the group came about from the needs of the individual, according to Lockean theory. Basically, what the Social Contract theory states is that man entered into a form of government in order to protect his own property. Face it, in a state of anarchy you are left to fend for yourself, and there is no one to say 'this is Kashi's house, you can't have it.' So goverment was formed, out of man's need for protection of his property. The governmental body was given the power to set moral and fair rules for society that would bring consequences if broken. And let me add to what BlueLancer siad: You are entitled to say virtually anything you want, for example criticize the governement. Hell, you can even plot to overthrow it. But the second you take action OR encourage others to take action, your rights end. The government can now act against you, out of the interest of preserving its own existence, which is accepted as for the good of a society. Which brings us full circle to the rights of the individuals in the society.

There are actually different sizes of infinity. For example, there are infinite negative numbers, correct? Well, that's infinity, but if we include all real numbers that's an infinity that's twice as big. Completey off-topic, but whatever :P .

have you ever broke the rules?
OP is an elementary school kid, has to be. That said, I carry my phone around in my pocket all day even though it isn't allowed. And my iPod started playing in my backpack during class last year, the teacher even put his ear to it trying to find the source of the noise but still didn't realize it was me  . I R HARDCORE.
