  1. First new topic in the rejuvenated OT. I gotta tell you, this is pretty weird. Two and a half months is an absolute ton of posts. We've lost a lot of long-standing discussions, as well as long-term events like tourneys (looking at Video Games Consoles here.) Guess we'll just have to start rebuilding everything, but right the first page looks like mass thread necromancy. On top of that, we're now in phBB3, which is confusing the hell out of me, personally. Just one more change we'll have to get used to, but I'm thinking that it's going to take a while. EDIT: My avvy changed back to the old one. Kinda puts the whole thing in perspective.
  2. Nah, we'll be going to a noon/early afternoon showing. Still got one more day of exams, but once those are out tomorrow at 11 we'll be free to go.
  3. Halo is one of the most overrated games of all time. Saying that something needs to come and take its place is elevating it far beyond what it deserves.
  4. You should come to Ohio to see it, I do believe Dadieseldude and I and some other people will hopefully be seeing it on Friday as well :P . What better way to celebrate the end of exams than watch NY get obliterated by Clifford?
  5. I'm going to come across as a douche here, but be honest. Are you actually published? You keep prattling on about writing this and writing that, oh this is a scrapped novel, I'm published so I know what I'm talking about, this is copyrighted, etc. However, I have not seen one shred of evidence that you actually are. I looked up the Black Library that you mentioned way back on Xewleer's story, and there are about 40-50 authors there and not one of them is under twenty. Sorry, but it just sounds like you're trying to loan yourself some credibility by making anonymous claims, but I did research and it doesn't add up at all.
  6. Venture Crews allow girls, but they are not Boy Scouts. I doubt that any Boy Scout troop anywhere allows girls, you are in a Venture Crew right? If you aren't, then that's just odd. And no one ever said Boy Scouts were the epitome of responsibility. . . Hell, my troop and I have done some dumb but frankly awesome stuff. We try to sneak it in past our Scoutmaster, who is an executive in the fire department :P .
  7. I dunno, I got it for Christmas. I'll ask my dad. I don't know whether I still have everything that came in the packaging, either, but if I do I'm definitley taking it back.
  8. Somnabulism probably. You'd be surprised what you can do while you're technically asleep :) .
  9. Dude, this is the Fellowship of the Ring screenplay almost word for word, substituting names.
  10. Gahh, my red button is really messed up :wall: . All of a sudden it just started blinking out in the middle of a long chord or something, and it got to the point where I can't ever be sure if I'm going to hit the note or not :( . The yellow button is similarly screwed, but not as bad. Looks like I'm going to have to send it back. . .
  11. +1,000. Whenever I have to do work with a partner, no matter who i end up with, they don't care and I end up doing the whole thing. The joke's on them, though. I don't put their name on it  And don't even get me started on "like". I use it as rarely as possible, even when it would be the correct usage. Unless it was with a good friend, I don't think I've ever had a partner in a group project who was the responsible and punctual one instead of me. It drives me out of my mind when I have to do all the calling, planning, materials, etc. I hate working in groups as a result, I would much rather work alone and consequently do a much better job. And I do use 'like' occasionally as a substitute for 'said.' Pure habit. I find the people who are like, this like, all the, like, time are also, like, extremely annoying.
  12. Nickelback is bad, but I do like Rock Star. The lyrics are pretty funny. But Nickelback didn't even write that song anyway, so yeah  .

Hm, I logged on just to see what everything looked like. I quite like the mini-map area with the hp/prayer/energy icons, it looks nice. The logout button looks a bit out of place, they should change it to be a bit more aesthetic, maybe just a simple bar with 'logout' on it. But the scroll bar on the skill interface is the cheap way out and needs to go.
  14. I still stand by my earlier statement that it's difficult to conceal your true personality online. Even if you went back and edited your post mutliple times, buffing it up and fixing grammar mistakes, there's still going to be that little flair that will distinguish you from others. For one, your opinions are invaluable when determining the type of person you are, and as others have stated you are going to be much more confident voicing your opinion to a crowd of anonymous users than to a group of people in the real world where doing so can have consequences. And then there's simply the style of posting. Maybe it's juts me, being particularly receptive to interpreting the written word, but certain idioms of speech and small quirks and simply stylistic choice will often shape your internet personality after the one that you hold in real life, and you can't really stop it. I, for example, always keep a level of informality in what I post no matter what it is about. I like to be eloquent and have a thought-out post, but I'm not going to be sounding like a university professor. If your grammar sucks, you are either young or don't care about it. If you respond to a particular post with a "Lol," we have a glimpse of your sense of humor. If you ignore certain topics but post in others, we have an idea of what you are interested in and what you are not, and what your opinions are on the topics that interest you. If you have a neat signature that you made yourself, we can assume you are into art or design. If you post nothing but one-liners and other jokes that contain little constructive content, you are a joker who would rather not get into serious mode. The list goes on. And it all comes back to the idea that online, anon protects you and you can be more open and expressive. So I would say that although we may not see exactly how you are in real life - simply because the world demands more of a particular demeanor and conformity in different situations - we certainly can get a good idea of your true personality. Attempting to conceal it is far too much work and frankly pointless. Yes, Reb, you weren't far from what I expected :P
  15. Lol, they finally allow you back? Yay  . :P .

Aw, someone reported this. I don't see why it can't stay, as Venomai has a paint program that he posted in the Gallery. And I agree, this isn't really comparable to Zelda at all, more like Final Fantasy/Pokemon.
  17. Oh, I have another one. People who ask me, constantly, why I speak softly. Ok, I have had a hearing deficiency since I was born, and I wear hearing aids. You try walking around every day of your life with plugs in your ears, which both cause your own voice to seem louder inside your head (try it with your fingers) and magnify the volume of everything else. Now, quiet before I hit you with the big stick.
  18. I generally get a good idea of what people are like through their posting style. I suppose they could be acting completely differently than they normally would, but it's pretty hard to completely conceal yourself, even through writing. Actually, especially through writing. As for real life, sure I see it all the time. Most people aren't going to 'be theirselves' in every situation. Different scenarious demand different mannerisms.

Wow, nice. I may just have to play it  .
  20. Reb, the only reason I know my schedule is those helpful teachers  . They always have the day of their subject's exam on the board. They also insist on spending the two frankly pointless days before exams reviewing, so that's even less I have to do : .
  21. I cringe at the thought of even halfway following some of the 'hit the bunkers!' plans that people dish out. My exams start Wednesday and go two a day through Friday (although Java started today, completley forgot about that) and I'm just now starting to review for my Wed. exams. Since I have the rest of the day off after exams finish at 11 AM, I study for the next day's tests. I've followed this pattern for every exam week, and the only one I've ever gotten below 90% on was Math, but I fail at all Math bar Geometry anyway. Are exams seriously such a huge deal that people actually follow those multiple-week nose-rubbing study plans? The most I've ever studied was for a few days, maybe the week leading up to my first freshman exams, as I didn't know what to expect.
  22. Besides the obligatory SSBB. . . Star Wars: Force Unleashed. Force powers on crack. That alone will make the game.

<-------- The homosexuality thread is that way.
  24. I think the first one >>>>> the second. The second one is fabulous as well, but the first one's colors are so much better. V1 was fine the way it was, too. Just fix the border. I don't like how you darkened the whole thing for V2, it sort of ruined it.
  25. Because FC and 100% is different, 100% you can overstrum as much as you want, you could complete a song without ever getting a 2x multiplier but still 100% it. FC is when you hit every single note AND don't break your combo, so you have 4x multiplier all the way through (except for at the beginning obviously.) Ah, I never even thought of not keeping the combo all the way through. To me, 100% and FC go hand in hand. Guess not.
