  1. Haha, umm.. Im not sure if you just accused me of not having friends outside of runescape or something, but I have a very healthy social life. I'll just assume you didn't mean that at ME though. Though, I do play a considerable lot O_O You can make friends anywhere though, and often at a training spot is the easiest. It's easy to strike up a conversation by asking their level in said skill, how much of _ theyve gotten so far, how long etc. That kind of conversation is of course, not real, but its breaks the ice and allows for side topics to emerge. Works anywhere, not just slayer. (except for maybe places where competition is harsh and the other person just wants you to get the hell away)
  2. I often do slayer pretty much 24 / 7. Currently I am fishing to 99 fishing (for slayer coincidentally. You see, I have a Kalphite Task. But I want to do it on Kalphite Queens. So I need a skill cape for the prayer bonus. And plus, about time I got a 99.) How does that affect it thought? and 3 hit U, what does that have to do with anything?
  3. A hi does not count. I start off generally asking them about their levels, favorite tasks etc. and then usually the conversation goes on a tangent. We talk about other stuff for pretty much the period of the entire task. Before the end I often ask them to add me, we do and continue to chat for a day or so after. Sometimes we drift away after that, but oh well, because I have a few friends that have really stuck from such tasks.
  4. I find it much easier to make friends at some training spot. I used to be able to make one new friend on each of my slayer tasks if someone else was there. I made it a goal to get to know 1 person each time I went.
  5. I will admit that bone bolts were ridiculously cheap and deserved a nerf, but I still hope they work because of all the bolts I bought XD I think a nerf should have been raising the price so that they stop being bought?
  6. haha wow, I think it's kind of strange how everyone is quoting me O_O But anyway, im going to remain as long as this game is here. Sometimes I take long breaks, but I always come back. There's just something I love about this game.
  7. This drives me insane. I sometimes go to f2p with about 10-20k and hand it out in 500-1000gp increments. And I cant stand when some people try to trade for it twice in a row or they ask for more. Barely any of them even say thanks, they just walk off as if they had some kind of RIGHT to it, not a privilege.
  8. I was thinking about that too. Im guessing sometime they'll release an RFDish quest (one that involves MANY drawn together) but on a serious note. And one that isnt a random conglomeration but really led into each other
  9. I think it's pretty obvious that a Mahjarrat-related quest line will be released soon. Possibly a sequel to Path of Glouphrie
  10. Unless of course, you undercut the shops. Shops seem to sell for a rather expensive price, so if you just sell your Mithril Armor at a little below what the shop sells it, and f2p players actually come looking for it, then this could work for Mith. Rune, I don't believe, will be profitability affected by this because it was always easy to sell and buy Rune in my opinion (though it will become a bit easier to sell of course.)..
  11. Surprisingly enough, all my previous merchanting ventures have ended in a loss of profit. I think it's kind of interesting that I actually came up with what seems like a good idea =P Unfortunately, smithing isn't exactly something I enjoy so I doubt I'll actually sell anything, but I'd like it if this helps someone out there make some money they need!
  12. Ah yes, sorry, I meant armor sets. This talk of armor also brings to mind another idea. Perhaps buying armor in separate pieces (make an order for 100 platebodies, 100 platelegs, 100 full helms, and 100 kites) and then sell 100 full sets. Do you think a profit or a loss would be derived from such a thing? I think low level f2p smithers might make good money off of this Armor Selling especially, but Bronze and Iron will remain unprofitable at almost any level because I'm guess that most people still using such armor wont have the reigns of the game well enough to want to buy that. Steel seems to be not a bad choice. Mithril and up is where I think one could actually make sizable money if this works.
  13. Yeah well, that's true. If everyone else starts selling armor pieces here then it'll backup with way more supply than anyone needs. What other items, besides armor pieces will become easy to sell for profit now?
  14. Do you think that maybe the Grand Exchange has increased the feasable for selling some low level items, before unsellable? For example, say someone is smithing. Now, normally they would train this by making tons of plate bodies and alching them. Do you think that maybe the f2p demand is high enough that one can actually create full sets of armor and sell them now? For a low level smith, if low levels are willing to pay for sets of full iron then smithing because a much more profitable skill than before. And of course, for the higher level smiths, maybe Mithril and Adamant will sell for more a profit now? Granted the demand may be small compared to other items, but do you think that armor is actually sellable? I know that I normally would never waste time in a f2p world trying to sell full mithril, but perhaps with the introduction of Grand Exchange, the f2pers will provide a market.
  15. Sorry but the knock, knock jokes and the door is old. Came with varrock makeover. Doctor Who joke for the win! =) *sings the doctor who theme*
  16. Lol I like how they still have those little games on the side. I remember playing the slime game for a while sometimes, I was pretty good at it. I don't see it on that list though
  17. I ate my gout tuber *cries* Next time I need one, i'm going to buy it.
  18. I know whenever our history textbooks mention "The Wilderness" or anything like that, I make the obvious connection. Ive even once had a mental fantasy of a bunch of settlers ambushed by pkers. "Mah! Mah! Get them oxen movin'! Them's peoples gots Ancient Magicks!"
  19. I grow bittercaps and put them in for compost too.
  20. Yeah I have a firecape outfit I love but it's not a skillcape so I can't enter it
  21. Ive been wondering the same. I was thinking that animal parts seem likely. Bones and Cowhides? Bones and feathers and Raw Chicken? Dragonhide (oop! Sounds like that'll make crafting more expensive!)? Who knows! I was thinking about this though, and I was thinking that I ought to stockpile some of this stuff that seems likely.
  22. Ive been waiting for Candy Cane Staff ever since the Scythe drop lol
  23. Im pretty sure Jagex foresaw it happening and did it on purpose anyway too
  24. Please note that I am an RCer (if even. I barely ever do. But I do runecraft most of the runes I need. Which are fairly limited, but I do do it.) not an RC Pker. A lot of Pkers pk for the "sport" of it. Granted, picking off a RCer (And losing the pouched! WHY! I HATE LOSING MY POUCHES!) I think some of them find it fun to do. *shrug*
  25. nice joke try again Are you calling me a Liar then? I'll have you know that is an accurate depiction of how long I have been playing. I'm sorry if my skill total isn't some absurd amount, But I often take long 3-month long breaks between playings of Runescape. Edit: It seems I was wrong about my start date. I had always thought I started playing since then, but apparently Runescape didnt start till 2001. Which, I'll admit, kind of confuses me. I didnt really mark the date I started so I've not been able to know it very well. A while ago I decided it was about time I knew how long ive been playing, and I looked back and thought I started in the Summer of 4th Grade as I remember Elementary School. However, this is apparently impossible. I can't say for sure how long ive been playing then. Either the summer of 2001, 2002, or 2003. I assure you, I was not trying to lie about my playtime however. I have the bunny ears and scythe to prove it (though I know they only show a certain amount of time) but was merely unsure of when I started (I THOUGHT I was sure...) If you like, I'll show you the Bunny Ears and Scythe, but I ask you believe that I am telling you the truth. If it helps, I just asked my friend (who has long since quit Runescape) about this and he says Summer of 2001. I feel very embarassed. I have inadvertently been a liar to everyone who everyone who ever asked how long i've been playing.
