No actually I explained this here. First of all, youre NOT going to be full HP at the KQ. Ive used them many times here, they work. And in the case of training food, its VERy easy to estimate that youre going to need to repot soon and simply stop eating. Sure it takes a little more planning, but worth the tiny effort in my opinion. I'll have how to gather caviar and stuff later I suppose. I maybe I should write a guide. Of course, you will NOT ALWAYS want mixes and I have covered that in the guide. I simply believe they are actually quite uses and do have many places where they are used. Sorry about the dwarf weed-torstol error I'll fix that.

Perhaps I wont kill Mithril Dragons unless I'm just going for fun then.

Thanks =) I just thought it was sad to see these useful things go to waste as nothing more than the occasional herblorist using fishing pots or some other "useless" potion to squeeze a little more XP out of a potion
-
Well, I have been Barbarian Fishing for quite some time and thinking, I ought to find a use for this Caviar. Besides the obvious gaining levels in herblore, of which these appear to be fairly useful! I found a few places with use for a potion. First, lets go over just what a Mix is. A Mix is the same as a potion, but it only comes in 2 doses. To make a mix, use a handful of Caviar on a 2 dose potion. A Mix heals a total of 12 HP, thats 6 HP a dose. You must start Otto's Barbarian Training to create mixes. So to sum it up, a Mix is a Potion that only comes in 2 dose and heals 12 HP. To obtain caviar, simply use a knife on a Sturgeon (fished at level 70 fishing via Barbarian Fishing). As far as I can see, Bringing a potion is almost always better replaced by bringing twice as many mixes. Super Sets Bringing a super set to boost your slayer xp? Consider this. If you bring one of each potion, (4) dose, and 3 sharks (you will of course bring more sharks, but this is irrelevant because we will be focusing on these 6 inventory spots.) Okay, so in these six spots, we have 60 Healing and 12 doses of potion. Consider an alternative. You instead bring two of each super set mix. Now you have, in six spots, a total of 72 Healing (that is 12 more than before!) The amount of extra healing earns increases based on the amount of potions brought (but don't bring more than you would need). Thus it is proven that a mix is more efficient. One may ask, now that's nice and all, but what if I don't want to eat and pot up at the same time? The simple answer is to watch your stats as they go down. Stop eating when you're about to get to whatever point you repot at and then use the pot to pot back up and heal at the same time. Using this is not only more space efficient but also required less clicks. Prayer Pots Prayer pots are used for a variety of things. Many of which are using pots to remain invincible to certain monsters. In the case of praying to where a monster is unable to hurt you, Prayer Mixes are not worthwhile and instead you should bring four dose prayer potions. However, there are several uses for these Prayer Mixes. The main of which is high level monsters hunting. Using the same math used in the super set section, I have found that using 4 prayer mixes is more advantageous than using 2 prayer pots and 2 shark. 4 prayer mixes is the same dosage but with 8 more healing than with the Shark. Packing as much healing points as possible is very important in soloing cases such as Mithril Dragons, Kalphite Queen, King Black Dragon, and DK's. Besides the help of packing more healing in however, comes the fact that it is quicker. When youre fighting a high hitting monster like the KQ, you don't want to waste two turns to eat and pot. Every attack matters. It is thus useful to be able to score back some HP whilst you naturally repot for prayer so that you can save some later eating. Don't worry, You'll almost always have at least a 6 HP dent. Qeltar, author of Truthscape, states on the matter "I also like to use the new Barbarian ̢̢̮ââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ãâ¦Ã¢â¬Åmix̢̢̮ââ¬Å¡Ã¬ÃâÃ

I was thinking about killing Mithril Dragons for cash. Does seem profitable for my level?
-
Last time I tried this they did wayyy too much damage and I burthorped them. And I almost NEVER Burthorpe things.

I suppose I see that the Bandos Godsword is the best use. Now, Ive heard several thoughts for making money. So far Runecrafting, Barrows, and Chinchompas seems to best choices, I could also fish shark though. How do you think I should make this 45 mil?
-
The best would be Greater Demons
-
According to the Grand Exchange, BGS is ~45 mil, Sara is ~115 mil, and Zammy is ~25mil. I think maybe I made a mistake, if Sara is that cheap thats the sword I actually want most but figured 115mil would be way too high

I was killing Green Dragons when a blitz ddper came out of nowhere and promptly struck out basically 3/4 of my HP bar in an instant and my ring of life shot me back to lumby. I had 2 HP left and was just like O_O and stood around for a bit thinking about amazed I was. Then I saw 2 hits of poison damage and some noob got half my stuff lol.
-
Hmm, I've done quite a few barrows trips before. So that is a real possibility. Why do you suggest the Bandos though, is the spec really worth the extra 20 mil?

Good luck with your goals! Especially that dragon archer one. Those hats need some kind of range bonus or something lol. -
Well, I'm not much in the way of money, but I love to KQ slay. Choosing the most effective KQ slaying equipment would be to my advantage. Some of you may know of the Black Mask + Slayer task method. I find the damage bonus of a black mask to be very helpful on a monster such as her and the ability to hit through prayer seems to render Veracs pointless. I can wait for Kalphite Tasks to do my soloing if I have to, I dont mind. I have heard that a Godsword would be a much more effective soloing device than Whip + Crystal Shield. Unfortunately, Godswords are ridiculously expensive. I have narrowed my possibilities to two obvious choices: The "cheap" Zamorak GS at "only" ~25 mil or the more expensive Bandos GS at 45 mil. Moneymaking isnt especially easy for me, but I'll post my stats here: This should more or less give you an idea of what my moneymaking abilities are. Im not exactly sure what my ideal moneymaking method is, however. Basically, Zamorak and Bandos GS are essentially the same, except for the special attack. I figure Zamorak may be ideal for me for the price and maybe using my dds specials in place would prove useful to get the Queen poisoned. However, Bandos apparently has a powerful special attack. Which sword is ideal for me, for the KQ? Bandos or Zamorak?

My main worry is that now that youve posted this, everyones going to go runecraft astrals and they wont be profitable again.

Plan on giving out lots of spare bait to low levels just starting fishing. I seem to remember always being mad as a noob that I couldnt afford all the bait I wanted. Course, everyones richer nowadays.

Is it just me? Or has the word "noob" finally destroyed?

I still hear it a lot. Unfortunately my relatively new to runescape brother is the victim of these insults everytime he wants to go kill Blue Dragons. -
I loved it! Love the 'k'k'k'k'k'k'k'k'k'k on the "Deathsword"
