One day I was doing barrows, I had a ring of life, but I was on a bad PC and verac was in the tunnel, which isnt a good combination. Anyway, Verac popped up and attacked me, then I got disconnected, I logged in with 9 hp and ate like crazy. The next room verac attacked me again!! and the client turned into a pop up. I log in in fally.....

I was killing Green Dragons when a blitz ddper came out of nowhere and promptly struck out basically 3/4 of my HP bar in an instant and my ring of life shot me back to lumby.

 

 

 

I had 2 HP left and was just like O_O and stood around for a bit thinking about amazed I was.

 

 

 

Then I saw 2 hits of poison damage and some noob got half my stuff lol.

I've got too many times it saved me to tell, but one thing that did kind of annoy me was when I did a minigame like Pest Control or Castle Wars, forgot to take off my ROL and had it interrupt my game. For example, in PC it'd tell me I couldn't leave the island, which stopped me from fighting the critter I was well, fighting and cost me some points.

 

But, despite those minor user errors, the ROL is still awesome. That's one of the main things I miss about p2p...

I got ko'd with a 5 at Ape atoll place wearing a ring of life. Didnt save me, lost 10m+.

This was a long time ago on a pure. I just got away, 11 hp left. No ditch at the time, I ran into the bank and tried to grab an anti. Poison hit a 6, ring of life triggered, I died in lumbridge trying to get to the RFD bank.

 

 

 

Probably pretty common which is why they fixed Rings of Life. ^_^

Finnald's 5th PK vid has one of the most amazing Ring of Life saves ever. He got away with several pieces of barrows and thousands of runes.

I was doing clan wars the 2nd day it came out with some friends. I forgot I was wearing a ROL, and it teled me out when I got low enough health. #-o

I was running toward the Zamorak Mage, and this fellow RuneCrafter whacks me with his pick. Jokingly, I call him a jerk. He gets pissed off, and comes back in a torso, climbing boots, fire cape, and so on. He DDS spec's me while throwing out as many insults as he can, and I'm doing my best to click on my ecto. At the same time, my ring of life teles me to Fally - but I must've lagged, and I end up being teled to the ecto!

 

 

 

I had 6 HP. Did I mention it was a DDS?

 

So, I die there, at the ecto.

 

 

 

Luckily, one of my friends was online at the time, I tell him, and he teles to the ecto and grabs my stuff. I lost my pouches, but otherwise no harm.

most of the time I had left it on during C wars or something and it would annoy the crap out of me, but there was one time T had a t trail and I was going to Edgville and boom, a mage team comes out and I get like 2 hp left, then the ring of life saves me and it had a black plate (g) and some runes in it. \

It's never actually saved me, because the only way im gonna die is if something is hitting constant 30's on me...but it makes me feel safe.

Good story for all you ring of life fans...I recently came back from quitting about 2 months ago and was working hard to make back some money. The second my cash pile would allow it, I bought guthans to do some slayer. Task of 138 daggonaths...great...(i used to hate them before this story took place b/c i killed them in waterbirth where if you are under 90 defence they will actually tear you to pieces). So i get there and i'm talking with my friend about how i'm lagging so much and if i died i would literally lose my entire bank (guthans helm, spear, whip, black mask, dboots, etc.-would have protected: dskirt guthans skirt guthans body) and as i'm saying this i get one of those lags where your screen freezes and then a lot of hits show up at once and there it was, 13-12-14-4 on my body, my bar, red. I started freaking out, only to see my character telly...wtf i thought? I read at the bottom: Your ring of life saves you and is shattered in the process...OMG, 1hp...and from that i learned two things:

 

1.) wear a ring of life whenever possible

 

2.) Waterbirth island daggs stink, stick with light house daggs \

A rc pker got me and froze me with ice barrge and stuff and my ring of life saved me at 1 hp :D (this was before pking was killed)

i went to my first KBD trip. when my health reached 9 and i had a perfect number of sharks, it teleported me right before i clicked on the shark but it didnt heal on time. gf.

The first time I died in p2p was at the Thrower Trolls at Death Plateau during my first week as a member. Luckily, I had enchanted my diamond ring and it saved me with 2hp left.

I have a lucky ring of life. It's gotten me some obby drops and the first steel drag trip I wore it I ended up ending my 700+ kill dry streak and got my very first d legs/skirt drop :D.

Its never actually saved me from death, I always get teled out when I still have enough food.

A lesson I learned the hard way....Ring of life DO NOT work on a f2p world.... :XD:

I'm tanking at Bandos, and I lag out. Yay for ROL. Saves me 5M+

First two times I ever tried to KQ I got tele'd by my ROL. Pretty crazy seeing as the KQ hits 30+ and I got to 1-7hp both times. Lucky lucky me.
