firefox randomly refusing to load any pages
I went back to 3.03 with no improvements, and I use the Web of Trust add-on, and will only browse on the sites on it that appear as light or dark green, and I am very cautious what I download, so malware seems very unlikely, but could your reccomend a good anti-malware program anyways? ---------------- Listening to: AFI - Miss Murder

1. I hate having to buy stuff, even if I was given the money to buy something 2. I am either very loud and active, or am quiet and hidden, never inbetween 3. I eat more than my 2 sisters combined and yet in the last 3 years I have only lost wait and grown quiet a bit 4. If it weren't for the porn I'd go on /b/ 5. Crossover or patch cable for 360?
have you thought of using an old router? Try asking around to see if anybody has one they no longer want. I am not exactly sure how, but it is possible to get the routers to 'talk' to each other, like they would with a PC so they will share thier internet connection, just have the one you were given sitting with the xbox 360. Try Googling it, or maybe someone else will know how. ---------------- Listening to: The All-American Rejects - The Last Song

firefox randomly refusing to load any pages
About a week or so ago firefox (3.06) once randomly stopped loading any pages, and also paused all downloads. Infact with my wireless network meter it showed no data being uploaded/downloaded. I restarted my computer (Windows Vista Home Premium 32-bit) and firefox was working again, so I thought nothing of it. Now it keeps doing it, and will only be fixed by restarting my computer, closing and reopening, ending the process and loging off don't work. I have even reinstalled version 3.03, incase it was an issue with version 3.06, which it was. I only have 1 system restore point, which was made after the issues started. It most commonly occurs if I leave the computer idle or hibernate/sleep mode, such as when I go to eat dinner/lunch/breakfast or go do something away from the computer. Nothing else seems to be affected, as I can still use MSN, IE and connect to the web. Does anybody know how to fix this issue? Any help would be appreciated, but do NOT tell me to use another browser, only firefox has all the add-ons I use.

Quitting Smoking.
My friend got asked that. :wall: I'm not sure if it would be of much help, but find something that you cannot stand the taste of yet isn't harmful, preferably something that would stick to the end of a cig, and then only keep cigs with that stuff on it, whenever you go to smoke you'll experience the aweful taste and put it back. Hopefully you will be able to not ask others for a cig, or stop putting the stuff on them!

Oh, that sounds bad. :/ I find it really nice that you have such a concern for your brother, though. You're seem to care a lot. :) For that, I salute you. =D> Flame pretty much summed it up. Does your brother miss alot of school? Great that you care about him so much. Thanks :) :) I do care about him a lot even if we do argue a bit :P He has missed a lot over the past year. He will stay off for the whimpiest colds and it seems this winter he's just been through all the viruses being passed around. He used to have problems with not going in because he was being bullied by other kids (little kids are stupid for the most part), but will take any excuse not to be in even now. My dad is just... perpetuating the idea 'Oh lol you don't have to go in just because I don't want you to'. He's starting to like going in more now, I just don't want it to go back a few months where we had like... social workers calling up saying he needed to go in, my mum missing work because he refused to go in too. It was a serious mess. Every morning was just a screaming and crying fest. I think me, my mum and grandma in particular are all just wary that if he misses half a day he won't want to go in the next day and then its just a chain reaction from there. My dad was at work though when all that was happening, he didn't have to deal with his screaming and everything but we did :wall: . That sucks, your dad needs realise that your brother will be severly disadvantaged if he stays at home, if your dad ever complains about tax, tell him that if people didn't let their children stay at home, but instead made sure they got good grades and a job, then those people wouldn't need unemployment payments and the money could be used for the tax payers benefits, such as repairing roadways and finding cures for sicknesses.

Today...
Today was awesome, went to the beach with some friends, my sister and one of her friends. This is one of the few times I have gone to the beach while in Newwy  , usually we just walk around going into the occasional store. My sister took 2 videos of me jumping off some old washed away staircase between Newcastle and Nobby's beach. Landed on a rock the 1st time which didn't hurt, the second time I didn't land on a rock and just about had to crawl back up. My sister's friend was the only other person to do it, which kind of surprised me as she is usually a quiet person. Me and a mate played Blood Knuckles in KFC and my hand was bleeding. Also got some glass in my foot as my feet were wet so I couldn't wear socks or shoes. :(

Worst thing you got caught doing at school!
*Imagines life as a Street Fighter character...* Now I wish it was true. Fortunately for you, with right techniques and a ridiculously stupid opponent, ribs can break that easily. Was watching Human Weapon all day today. All the science was confusing, but I do know you can break bones with kicks. I was thinking more of the the jumping in the way they do and how cool a Horiukin (sp?) would look It's spelled Horyuken (I think it translates to Fire Dragon Blade). Proper training and lucky/precise hits can break bones, too. But yeah, chances are that if someone got a broken bone, they were being amateurish or just plain stupid. Thanks for that, I edited my post with the correct spelling :P

 If you feel like venting again, inbox is welcome for flooding. Thinking whether to get a really, super, duper, nice house and getting someone else down the end to share in some rent because there's not many nice houses around at the moment. Anyone in Brisbane looking to move out? :P you just need your own bedroom gear (bed, drawers etc) other than that the house is fully furnished, you have access to cooking utensils, washing machine, dryer, tv etc I'm being serious btw :P you just need to be able to clean up after yourself (hang your towels up in the bathroom/do some dishes) I don't mind cooking or washing your clothes and you must have a stable income. The two bolded parts are what's stopping me (and 3 friends I would hate moving away from.)

Where are you from?
Maybe not exactly a culture shock, but it will be very different. For one thing, nobody will understand him or be able to walk with him. Ever seen someone from the Northeast walk? It's ridiculous. My jog. And they're talking, oh, forget about it. In my mind, everyone in the Northeast is from a bad Mafia movie with people in New Jersey. And it's called coke. No it's not, it's called soda! Get it right!! It's called coke... [hide=][/hide]

My sister's friend had to go for an operation, where she had to be awake, was some eye surgery, and this is a 11/12 yo girl. Her operation went well, and I'm sure yours will to :D Have fun down in S.A. I wish I could have a bit of a holiday, well one away from my family as it will do everyone good. Today I found out that if I do all the Microsoft Access and Powerpoint work, and the Word, Excel, Access and Powerpoint tests then I don't have to attend Software for the rest of the course, meaning I have 1 2½ hour lesson on Monday and 1 3 hour lesson on Thursday and the rest of the weel off. (Time to find a hobby :wall: which will probably consist of me seeing what I can do with various 'broken' electronic devices, might end up with something useful such as a coilgun)

Help With A Really Strict Parent
NOTE: I tried posting this about 19 hours ago, but it wouldn't let me load any Tip.it pages until now You forgot me, I'm pretty much a local near you. Deathmath, I would try to slowly work less and less with school and just pretty much stop talking, also perform slightly worse at school. Eventually they will talk about that, tell them that you are feeling so pressured by them, that you feel like you have failed and won't be abel to live upto their standards and are going to just give up trying. Hopefully it will work for you, and I really wish I could help you out. I don't know what it's like as at 16 my parents removed my curfew and haven't cared that I've gone out with friends and not mentioned a thing (now that we have moved I need a lift to the bus stop, so now they always know.)

"I want a girlfriend/boyfriend", and other such relationship advice
As it has been said, public transport, it is rather cheap (I get all public transport on concession, and free on certain days/times) and gets your really far, also get used to walking/riding a bike as you will probably need to get around a bit to see her. One thing I won't be able to stress enough is try to remember everything she talks about, it will be a great help in remembering what to get her for her birthday etc. and she will really love that you remember the trivial things and dates such as anniversaries and her birthday. If you are getting offended by the way most people are posting, get used to it or leave, most of us will offend you often. I am posting nice to help you out this time. ;)
