Allowance/Pocket Money
That's all I want :) I'm going to try and convince my mom/dad, they're independent so I can hopefully conquer them both. :D ~Knotch If all you want is some money for MS Points and to save up for an iPod and going plces with friends occasionally try negotiating $10/week like someone said. If you do it in a way that gives the parents an opportunity to think it over I am positive they will agree. ---------------- Listening to: Metallica - Leper Messiah

Allowance/Pocket Money
In our household we get a $1/week per year of age (so I get $16/week while my 15yo sister gets $15/week.) Mum also budgets in a clothing allowance ($40/month) which I like never spend, although I do need to replace my jeans, and am growing out of some of my shorts and like 1 or 2 shirts.... ---------------- Listening to: Metallica - ...And Justice for All

Today...
This happened last night, but I wasn't on Tip.it afterwards. My friend stole some of my food that I had just bought, and it was kinda gonna be my replacement for dinner, as I hadn't had any, so I chased him to get it back, I slipped along some grass and my left arm slid along the concrete, the cut looks like I had burns, even my dad asked me what I had burnt myself on this time  ---------------- Listening to: Demon Hunter - Turn Your Back and Run

If You Ruled Your Country....
What kind of government would it be? Anarchy What would be the first thing you did? Tell people that if they didn't want to be part of the Anarchy they they must leave within a week What adjustments would you make to your country? Whatever ones need to be to form an Anarchy, such as removing currency and have things traded for what is required to make them, Eg to 'buy' wheat you would have to perform an hour of labour in exchange for the amount of wheat harvested in an hour. ---------------- Listening to: Metallica - Of Wolf and Man

Check out some of the stuff from sxsw there is about 6GB of royalty-free music, and they say there is music for everyone. If you are finding the downloads too slow you can legally torrent the songs (I believe they are split into 3 or 4 parts.) You will quickly find the stuff you do and don't like, listen to every song, you may end up liking a new style of music :D ---------------- Listening to: Demon Hunter - Thorns

North Korea launches a rocket
China building up their military scares me, remember when Germany built up their military? :ohnoes: are you saying they got hitlers dna, cloned him, and he is now controlling china?! thats a pretty wild thing to be thinking. I'm just saying that building up an army never leads to anything good. Countries built up armies before WWI, Germany and Japan built up armies before WWII. ... You know what's be cool? If we built up an army! What a great idea! I mean the other countries will totally respect us for having an army, I see no reason why they would hate us. : ---------------- Listening to: Metallica - Of Wolf and Man

Tip.It's Firefox Customizing & Tips Thread!
am surprised that these two haven't been mentioned NoScript: The best security you can get in a web browser! Allow active content to run only from sites you trust, and protect yourself against XSS and Clickjacking attacks. Web of Trust: WOT, Web of Trust, warns you about risky websites that try to scam visitors, deliver malware or send spam. Protect your computer against online threats by using WOT as your front-line layer of protection when browsing or searching in unfamiliar territory. WOT's color-coded icons show you ratings for 21 million websites - green to go, yellow for caution and red to stop helping you avoid the dangerous sites. Surf safer and add WOT to your Firefox now. You can personalise WoT to also warn you if you go to a yellow site, in the same way it does for red, which is what I do as I am very cautious about dangerous sites. ---------------- Listening to: Demon Hunter - Through the Black

Can I Install Operating Systems on External HD?
What? That leaves almost no space for other application. I would partition 30GB for Windows 7, but I don't recommend windows on external hard drive, especially on something as slow as usb. What about Firewire? Couldn't I buy a miniUSB to Firewire and have it run faster? Nope, becuase it is limited by the USB cable itself, even if it is connecting to the computer through another connector. ---------------- Listening to: The All-American Rejects - Night Drive

Iowa, and now Vermont, Pass Same-Sex Marriage Laws
QFT. Religion holds back civilization. no it doesn't. people hate gays because they hate gays. (stupid but true.) i'm atheist and i'm strictly against gay people and their cultures. People hate gays because people say that god said they should. The Bible Argument is [cabbage]. The Bible also says that he who works on the Sabbath will have to be put to death. Unfortunately, I must go to school during the Sabbath. Do I have to kill myself, or can I turn myself in? Reference points, anyone? No, that was part of the Old Testament, which was under the old covenant with God, where the laws were supposed to have the people were to love and worship Him through their actions in carrying out what was in the laws. That didn't work out, the people became more focused on carrying out the law and rituals than they were on God Himself. God then created a new Covenant where the people were't focused on Law, but being like Christ, where they would love people as well as God. ---------------- Listening to: Demon Hunter - Through the Black [/hide] so god changed his mind? That would seem to entail him having made a miscalculation. If you change your mind that means you made a mistake? Not necessarily, He wanted to give us a chance. It also set a foundation for which Jesus could minister on. ---------------- Listening to: Linkin Park - In Pieces

North Korea launches a rocket
WWIII. Ha. The only thing that would result from NK launching a nuke would be the creation of a gigantic crater above SK. Most likely it's not even a nuke, but if it is, they're not using it on SK. The thing is, the first country to launch a nuke is going to get gang raped by everyone, but do you know if NK has allies? He means that everyone will bomb NK, hence the above (as in north of.) ---------------- Listening to: Metallica - Through the Never

you can get skype on the touch? that's pretty awesome. Yup, it's free in the app store. I pity the iPhone users who are paying 60 bucks a month. :P Does the touch have a built in HSDPA modem? Went to my dad's cousin's 40th, there was a jukebox, with Never Gonna Give You Up. So I HAD to RickRoll everyone, too bad the little kids had put so many songs into the list, which you can't erase, even if you pull out the plug for 10 mins. Took 3 hours before everyone got RickRoll'd (except the people who know what a RickRoll is, they were playing on the PS2 -.- ---------------- Listening to: Rise Against - Give It All
