  1. Using a Gilded altar he will need 2423189 dragon bones to get 95 pray. Let's suppose dragon bone cost 5k each (I think that's about right). This will cost him 125,960,000 gp. Just saying.

I suppose if you want a possibility of the highest payout you'd have to put some on fish and get a very lucky clue scroll
  3. I'll tell you what, I have 80 defence AND I can use a bunyip. I also have full mellee void and a salve (e). Over the next few days (absolute latest will be on tuesday) I'll go there and test whether you need food or not. Ps. If you don't have it, possibly more important than a BUNYIP will be Enchanted Excalibur. GET IT NOW!!! (if you already don't). And remember, the cooking requirement can be reduced by 5 (chefs delight) the fishing by another 5? (admirals pie) and I stewed for the fletching and firemaking requirements. Seriously, unless you have a spare SGS, you NEED this weapon.
  4. Remember that you can't do anything that would end up with you earning too much money. For example, they wouldn't be able to trade to you more than 960k worth of pure ess during that hour (I know they wouldn't be able to do that for pure ess, but it might be a problem for other things). Maybe find somewhere with a resourse you want (like mining) that's far away from a bank and get them to do all the running to banks and back for you? maybe banking the drops from certain monsters (would be good if you were at something like abherrent spectres (sp?) so they could bank the herbs). Aside from that and runecrafting, I can't think of anything, sorry.
  5. Buy at least 71 prayer so you can use the deflect mellee curse, spend the rest getting a decent herb level.
  6. I'm one of those few people that actually regulaly ranges while slaying (because of my low mellee stats which I am slowly training) and I'm guessing that the same way that the black mask + fury combo is greater than void mellee, the focus sight + fury/amulet of ranging will be better than void range. Unfortunately I don't own a focus sight yet (damn merchants) and so can't do the tests required to back up this claim, but I strongly expect to be right. Also, think about using hide tags as much as possible. The 2 slay guides that I look at are Master Jacks and Robin Hoodies and it's instantly clear upon opening them both that the layout on Robin hoodies is far superior because of the amount of hide tags. [Please note I didn't say that the content was far superior, just the layout] PS Nice guide =)
  7. 5 tries later? I feel your pain... Erm, obviously the waves aren't hard for you, and you must get the prayer switching as you got to the healers... So all I can say is, best of luck, keep trying, you'll get it eventually. Just hope it doesn't take you 15 tries like it did me XD Also, you don't need to be that far away from him. So long as you're out of mellee range you can stand really close which makes it easier to see his attacks and to correctly shoot the healers.
  8. Seriously guys, I cannot understand the firecape argument. I have a crappy internet connection, and a crappy mouse (keeps disconnecting at random times) so I knew when I set my goal of getting one that it would be particularly difficult. So what I did was do the first 62 waves at home, log out and then went to an internet cafe (where it was 30p (about 28c) for 15 minutes) and fought Jad there, where I knew the connection was stable and there was no lag. And yes it took me about 15 attempts to get one so I'm not going to say "oh just go and get one, it's easy". But I do know, that if you keep trying, eventually you'll get it. And you'll never regret all the time you spent trying.
  9. k snakeskin and preselyte, ill keep whip in case of necessity if the healers get too annyoing.. what shall i put in the invo instead of the rocktail and the range pot? DO NOT, I repeat, DO NOT!!!!!!!!!!! (yes it needs that many !'s) plan on whipping the healers. Seriously, this is 100% guaranteed to fail and I'll tell you exactely how. You'll be sitting there, heart pumping away, adrenaline coursing through your system. You'll be very nervous but starting to feel a little excited. You've got the prayer switching working and you can identify his attacks. You've managed to have a few sips of potions to maintain prayer points and still maintained your routine. You get Jad down to half health (gratz). the healers come out, alright no biggy, you know what to do. You attack them all, they start hitting you. you figure you'll take out your trusty whip and just send them back to the firey pit they came from. You see jad is attacking mage, you put on the correct prayer, switch to your whip, then..... OMGWTFPWNT! Mage attack hits you, you still have autoretaliate on, you go to whip Jad, he switches to mellee, you completely forget that he has more than 2 attack styles and you die in the fight caves. So near, yet so far. The invent that I always use is: EE (so freakin useful) 300 diamond (e) (you won't use this many, it's just the number I have laying around) 3 range pots 5 sara brews rest sup restores Nice and simple. Best of luck, pm me in game if you want any more help. I consider myself pretty pro at the waves now (got through them about 14 times now) though still really noob at jad (only killed him once lol)

lol, not knowing anyone with an altar isn't a problem. Unless you're doing a CRAPload of bones, just go to a house party themed world, go to the yanille house portal and spam "Looking for altar". shouldn't take you long to find one. then, just go in, do your bones, leave, run to bank rinse, repeat! use a BOB if you want to shorten run times, with a decent agility and all the time you spend offering bones, you won't need to walk for much of the time. Good luck, and have fun
  12. Yep, slayer. OT: impressive prayer level for your combat stats!
  13. schmuall replied to Andrews's topic in Help and Advice
Option C: Make money and buy the bones. At your levels, you have loads of options for money making, possibly the most profitable/exciting being boss hunting. 70 prayer is enough to start joining teams and learning what to do, and when the big drops start coming in, you'll be able to buy your own weight in dragon bones in no time. Otherwise, sorry, I don't know, I'll presume Sw but I honestly don't know, sorry
  14. I had a lvl 1 clue earlier and went to the database to find out the answer but couldn't find it. i assumed I had just overlooked it and left it at that. However I just read in Help and Advice that they were tweaking treasure trails to reflect recent changes. I'm 95% sure this was the exact wording of the clue: "Speak to Ellis in Al Kharid" Ellis is the tanner north of the bank
  15. Oh, so that's why I had a clue earlier that wasn't in the database! Thanks guys

You definately won't find me telling you to bring friends, the giant mole is basically a giant teddy bear and anyone with 1 def, 20 hp and 20 range could take him out (though it would take ages). My advice is: Use Range. Seriously, the mole is so big and there are about a million safespots in his dungeon. You could easily get away with black d'hide, archer helm, row/rol/archers, ranging ammy/fury/glory, snakeskin boots, rune c'bow with broad/addy bolts, snakeskin boots. The most annoying thing about him is his burrowing technique, which is why some people like to set up a cannon though if your familiar is attacking him when he burrows, it'll automatically start walking toward where he resurfaced so go there. You'll be running around a lot so bring some form of run restore. Best of luck!
  17. Not sure if this is strickly against the rules (I've reported my own post so a mod can see it and delete if appropriate) but one way to transfer money (expect 1.5m per hour but up to 2.5m per hour if you both pay attention) is to go to a very small building away from other people. Get your friend to bring the 100m in cash and 27 clockwork mice, make sure you have nothing in your invent. Get your friend to release all the mice, and you pick them back, when you have all 27, trade them back to your friend and they will be able to pay you for the mice, allowing them to transfer you money. I know someone who worked out the gp/hour rates because this is how he did it. Best of luck
  18. awesome thanks, Ide use to SS, but im not wasting another 10m on something, dragon scimmy wins :) TYVM! If you're serious about training strength I would definately recommend the Saradomin sword. If you're scared about spending 10.6m on it, it is worth noting that the graph for the last 180 days for the sword has a steady increase from 6.7m to it's current price and it is always possible to sell it back once you're finished training
  19. lol, there's no need to buy xp from soul wars. don't worry about it, hp xp is just something that'll come naturally and you should never specifically train it unless you're going for untrimmed.
  20. Technicaly it's possible with your stats, though I 100% wouldn't recommend trying unless you're highly experienced on another account, or incredibly skilled/determined. If you are still convinced you want to go ahead, the simplest method is the range only. Best equipment (which you'll probably need with your stats): Veracs helm Amulet of fury Avas Device armadyl top/black d'hide veracs plateskirt barrows gloves archer ring snakeskin boots (or if you're minted, use ranger) you'll probably need about 3 range pots, 100 purp sweets, 18 sup restores and the rest sara brews, Good Luck! The hard thing about the caves isn't the waves, it's jad. I can practically do the first 62 waves in my sleep and always get to Jad with plenty supplies. But every time I get wtfpwnt by Jad, I recommend watching LOADS of vids and reading guides on how to beat him.
  21. You're all probably sick of seeing fight caves questions on here but I promise this will be my first and last =) I've wanted a fire cape for a while now, but recently I've really been craving one and killing a Ket Zek is the only task I am left to do to complete Karamja Hard diary. I've watched the videos, read the guides and finally think I am about ready to give this a go. I want to try the ranging only method as it makes use of my highest skills, gives me a few extra inventory spaces and has less fiddly armour changing. I just have a few questions about setup: 1) Is amulet of fury that much better than amulet of ranging? (I have ranging but not fury, I could borrow) 2) Is using a shield really all that great? I have full zammy book and so was going to use that, but everyone seems to love the shield. 3) If a shield really is necessary, is the granite one I already have enough? what would be the best one? 4) Is the +3 prayer from veracs helm really really important? could I get a way with using a torags helm (which I already have) and get an extra +6 range def bonus? 5) I've also got plans on completing the seers acheivement diary in the (near) future. Is it worth doing sooner rather than later so I can use Enchanted Excaliber in the caves? 6)Inventory:3 ranging pots 6 Sara brews Purple sweets 18 Sup restores Do you believe this will be good enough? I honestly hope that these will be my only questions, but if I do think of any more, I'll update this post. BTW: In case my stats sig isn't working, Range = 85, hp = 84, def = 80 and prayer = 70 THANKS IN ADVANCE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  22. at least 12, I can see the stand for another one in the bottom left corner. Do you have any idea what they were doing there? nice pic btw
  23. trading between accounts is against the rules (unless I misunderstood you, in which case, sorry)
  24. In short, yes. There's a guide in AOW, I'll find you a link in a minute, it's by robin hoodie and it's the BEST guide you'll find for serious range slaying. If I remember correctly, his advice is to range them up close until unaggresive and then to safespot them (not 100% sure how this works as they attack with range too...) Anyway, treat this guide as your bible and you'll be well on your way to range slaying fun! (also, I believe that it is slightly out of date and as such you should be able to use a amulet of ranging pretty much anywhere he says fury) EDIT: here is the link and here is what he has to say on the topic [hide]Waterfiends are a task I thought were unrangable, and now, it seems ridiculously easy. The Method requires you to up-close Range them for 10 Minutes until they're unagressive and then you can safespot them. For this reason, a good Defense and Magic level is needed. Well not so much needed as reccomended. You'll only be fighting them with damage for about 10 Minutes.(Took 10:17 for them to stop being agressive to me, but that could be because I wasn't paying much attention to the clock) So it's okay to go in there with low Defense and Mage, just be wary. I fight them in the Whirlpool in Baxtorian Falls and in the spot marked on the map near the bottom of this section, you need to fight them there for this method to work. Posted Image Full Range Bonus, which also has a bit of Magic Defense, which makes staying alive for 10 Minutes that much easier. Not much else to say except that the range attack is for hitting through the Waterfiends massive defense. Posted Image The Prayer pots and food are for you to last the ~10 Minutes while they're agressive. You will get hit by the Mage attack a bit, that's what the food is for. The Prayer Potions are for you to Pray Protection From Range. That'll keep you alive until they go Un-Aggressive. The obvious Games Necklace is to get to the spot. You may want to use a Bunyip in place of food. Doesn't really matter though. Posted Image That's the way to get to the spot. You'll be fighting besides a clump of rocks. Know them, love them, make love to them, I don't care which. The last one might be painful but I don't judge you. Once they're unaggressive, there are a lot of spots around to fight them without damage. Here are just a few of the spots that I use. Using these, you’ll be able to find a few that you discover yourself. In one hour, I can kill a meager 68.531 Waterfiends, resulting in 35,088 Range Experience and 8,772 Slayer Experience. Below average exp, but with great drops. Why can they never be both? :( Oh well. This test was conducted at 99 Range and Potting up at 105 Range. Voidable: Nope. I don’t recommend ranging Waterfiends because of their raw defense power. It may not be as much as their Slash defense, but it’s sure enough to make this task Unvoidable. Trust me, you’ll do better with Dragonhide or Armadyl. Posted ImagePosted Image Posted Image[/hide]
  25. I'm not going to say I had the exact same scenario as you, but I do know that when I lost my full void 2 days after getting it (thank you chaos elemental <_< ) I really felt like quitting. In fact I did take a 2 week break. But then I picked myself up and got back on the horse. The mindset you have to have is: I currently have 64m. The last time I had 64m, I knew less about the game, had worse stats, had less money-making opportunities open to me and still, I was able to work up to 85m. I may be back at 64m now, but I will find it easier to make the 21m I lost than it was to get it the first time round. Hope I helped.
