You looked at the offensive stats for the Torva Plate? -31 and -11 compared to -15 and -10 of the BCP. That is why people use BCP instead of a Torag's Platebody. Magic attack matters at DKs? That's news to me... In some instances, yes. It makes a difference against crashers, and you want to stay above -20 magic attack to maintain decent accuracy regardless.

What can't you wait to do in the new Golden Age of Runescape?
He's a troll, ignore him. Also, these forums (and this game's community in general) are a good evidence for the argument that humans are inherently evil.

I hate merchants with the fury of a thousand suns. And yes, I am jelly. I'm a whole mother****ing barrel of Smuckers.

I love TDs too, hence my sig and name. Means "destroyer of evil."

I'm hoping against hope the gloves count "summoning" as a combat skill, lol.

On the blood phase, the "blood sacrifice" target needs to run away but everyone else needs to pummel Nex in order to out-damage her healing abilities. That's what he means by "don't run round."

Definitely Pernix, as it raises the amount items heal you for and provides the best stats in the game. Second of course would be Divine, for obvious reasons.

I don't think you can get more than one pair. Also, Jagex can toggle god mode, so their gear doesn't really matter.

This. So what, somebody who can't speak from a neutral standpoint has never any right of speaking.. He can't see the two sides of a coin, and always thinks he's best, with zealous ambition.. Really maybe you "believe" in him (like you believe in a religion) - but that doesn't give him any right to speak (just like religion is in no position to speak). I just found somebody who sucks at Nex.

it looks like the wolf cast some spell on the player. quick, everybody buy out green d'hide armor. It's members-only AFAIK. Which again raises the question why they'd feature a soloer in rune lol.

I cuss to, so do many, many other people. It's bloody frustrating when nobody listens or thinks, which is par for the course with the general RS populous. What Stoke said was as much of a rant as a guide.

Stoke is also one of the co-creators of DG Elites and is a high-ranking official in the #1 F2P pk clan RSD. Potty mouth or not, the guy is good at RS so you shouldn't judge his credibility based on that. People are so accustomed to the censor ******** ing everything, I guess it's a shock to actually see it lol.

Well if it were designed for level 135+ it'd be kind of pointless, since you know... It doubles COMBAT exp?

So this thing has a lot of HP (there are only three other monsters in the game who have a 3x HP bar: Nomad, Corp, and Nex). I will probably end up waiting a week and then soloing it... If it's team based, there will be a LOT of people there initially... But the crowds will quickly die down since you can only obtain its reward once.

According to Stokenut, who has pretty much non-stop killed Nex since the release, that is true. He also rages about people who waste time killing Reavers. Here's something he wrote: I put it in spoilers because it contains very bad language.

If that were anywhere close to being the case, we wouldn't have seen nearly as many drop pictures the day it came out.

Nex Strategy Discussion
Wait a minute: -At 700k expenses a trip.. With 4 people means the team expenses are 2.4M.. -5 kills a trip, averaging around 300K.. - So you get back 1.5M.. I still see a negative gab of 900k. So to be even non-expensize you should expect around 250Kish special drop. - If all drops have the same rate, you'll be looking at an average value of 95-100m a drop. - This means that to be even "profitable" you'll need to get a drop at least every 100 trips. - Or every 400 kills. And (with the average trip taking 1 hour including getting kill count(?)) to be an effecitve money maker (to make 3M+), you'll need to expect a drop every 100 kills. All this means is that the average price of the special drops will not be 95-100m. I don't think anyone expects them to stay anywhere near their current GE prices- the best armor in the game could easily stabilize at over 500m for the average unique drop when free trade comes out and allows it. The drop rate also does look to be over 1/100 for anything, at least for my clan. We've had torva legs and virtus top and bottom in under 100 I'm pretty sure. It's funny how people only consider common drops, when everyone knows rare drops make most of the profit for boss monsters. Consider that...if all rare drops are 1/400 chance of getting(reasonable guess). At start, the average rare drop is worth 133m(yeah, i calced that), so that said, we can assume 3,33m per Nex from rare drops only. If a team of four can can kill 4 Nex an hour(quite reasonable), that's also around 3m an hour for each of them, not even considering all the rare drops will rise. Way more common than 1/400.

Yeah, Nex's regular drops are really disappointing, especially compared to the much-easier Corporeal Beast. Seriously, why did Jagex bother giving it steel arrow drops or "1 chaos talisman" drops. This boss won't really be worth doing until the armor is far more valuable than it currently is.

Petition and Fraud? Mistake and Lies? Other? (results on page 4)
No, definitely. I do remember the days when skilling was a decent moneymaker, but combat has always been a better moneymaker except for RC and even RC has suffered IMMENSELY. My point was that skilling is already so terrible for money-making that the return of the clone armies won't hurt it that much. And I'd much rather deal with skills making slightly less money than deal with the rigid price controls in the GE that necessitate the somewhat-arbitrary "street prices" and junk trading. That being said, I don't want to see the old Wilderness return, even though I know the two go hand-in-hand and Jagex wouldn't bring back one without the other. People can say whatever they want, I still believe that the game was far better off without many of the personalities that left when Jagex "killed the Wilderness." There is a reason many of the "e-famous" pures ended up perm-muted... I'm going to leave it at that, because I don't want this thread to turn into a massive "skillers vs PKers" flame-fest like the other thread.

And all one has to do is take a peek at the Ess Mines or the CT dragons to see that botters are still a major issue. I don't see Jagex releasing some magical super-mega-9001th version of their anti-macro system the day the bring back the Wild and Free Trade. It's just lip service to try to fool the blind and the naive. But as I said earlier, who really cares about bots. Skilling is and has been a crappy money-maker for as long as I can remember, and having a bunch more bots will just making training skills like prayer more affordable. Also, the extra money skillers made when the bots left after 12/10 (and resulted in more expensive resources) just went into price manipulators' pockets. And price manipulators (combined with the broken GE mechanics which they abuse) are far more of an inconvenience than bots ever were. It'll be nice once cash is king again and you can pay 800 or 900m cash for a divine spirit shield outright if you have the money, instead of having to jump through all these hoops acquiring rares to barter with instead.
