  1. Imagine what ovls/turm/rapier and ddef did to people who got in while I was there lol. Congrats on the dragon med helm. It's amusing to solo crash teams of level 80s at KBD while you're on-task.
  2. On-topic, I'll bless unless the person is a jerk to me.
  3. That's the biggest [bleep]ing rationalization I've ever seen. You're a greedy [wagon], that's the bottom line here.
  4. Has nothing to do with capitalism. It has to do with avarice and a lack of morals. Yea right... capitalism is seeking out your own wants and needs over anyone elses. Its not my fault I'm an oportunist. Not to mention since Runescape is a GAME. I know this might be hard to comprehend but since Runescape is NOT real life, then the "morals" that apply in it are a lot more insignificant than the morals that represent real life. Yeah, just because you can't see the person on the other side of the screen and will never meet them means their feelings don't matter. Using that logic, cyber-bullying is fine because it's not RL, correct? Why should morals play any part? Why should I feel bad about it? It's not RL. It may only be a game, but as Kelly says so well, "People bring bits of themselves into that game." They work hard for their GP, for their name, for their ranks, etc. They put countless hours of their RL time into earning that stuff. Should one mistake cause them to lose all of that simply because "it's a game" and morals shouldn't count? I was being facetious. I completely agree with your argument. I greatly loathe people who feel the veil of anonymity present on the internet gives them free reign to take advantage of others and be unabashed [wagon].
  5. Best post. Life is hard... there are no quick fixes, why should runescape be any different? "You can please some of the people all of the time. You can please most of the people some of the time. But you cannot please everyone all of the time." Therefore, toughen up... build an extra tough exterior and deal with it. Because it's a game, and people play it to escape from the unfair bleakness of real life? Again, as I replied to someone else... Just because you CAN be an [wagon] doesn't mean you SHOULD. People like you are why these forums are turning to garbage. Hey hey now buddy... no need to turn it into a personal attack. Just because you are a dreamer doesn't mean I have to be one as well! I only stated basic facts that are out there for everyone to see. Personally, I gave up on the whole "be nice" ideology a long time ago, and so should you. It only holds you back from fulfilling your true potential. Not to mention 99% of the people out there (in runescape and real life) are only out for themselves and nobody else. What is the point of playing a MMO if you're going to step on everyone you meet?

  9. Good to see the acknowledged the glitch where when you try to log in from the Lobby, it says "Your account is already in use" and kicks you to the log-in screen. This is extremely frustrating when trying to make stewed potions.
  10. Some people have too much money. <_<
  11. It's supposed to be a game. This kind of stuff makes it more fun. Well done, Jagex. So just because Jagex makes a event where they take us to hunt Revs, it's "Well done, Jagex"? That's not fun a event to me. I can and HAVE done that by my own. And i have owned 12 Revs at ONE Star at highest wildy, and waited for more to arrive... The least admistrators of Runescape can do is make a unique event, not something we could do by ourself. For example spawning LOADS revs in 4 spots in Wilderness. Like how "Hati" wolf has 3 spawns. And make the spawns come in "waves" like Fight cave. Building up the number of revs as u go higher. NOW THAT'S A EVENT. Someone contact Jagex immediately! Dire Wolf doesn't find their new event fun, thus it really must not be fun! If you don't think it's fun, don't go and move on you little baby Congratulations! Your Trolling level is now 65. You can now Flame other users.
  12. So many gimmicks associated with the Free Trade/PKing update. Jamflax are really milking this for every penny/quid.
  13. O shi- Not fletching and WC. I hate those skills.
  14. Forinthery Bracelet. Besides, a clan of PKers can set up shop at revs and then just kill any soloers or other groups that try to come.
  15. Maybe your fans have a lot of dust accumulation? Could also be a memory-related issue. How often do you restart your computer? On a different note, do you ever duo TDs? I'm always looking for TD partners :)
  16. Not really. If anything, it'll become more expensive. That area will be swamped by PKers, so you'll have PKers freezing you and TBing you while speccing you with DDS's, while the while Revs smack you with 200+ hits.
  17. I predicted this back when Jagex first announced the poll. I was laughed at and mocked by all the people who advocated the change (especially PKers), who said that people are already rude and that bots are already a huge issue. Nope, not like it will be. And we haven't even really seen the worst, yet. There is a REASON Jagex makes so many updates to try to placate the PKing community, and it isn't because they are a large part of the player base (because they're not). They are the loudest, most obnoxious sect of the runescape community. They make their voice heard the best, both on the forums and in-game through their riots tantrums. Note that I am not saying all PKers are like that-- and I say this from having experience in the clan world for several years-- but enough are (especially pures, for some reason) to spoil the common perception of the PKing community as a whole.
  18. Honour is never stupid, maybe unless it kills you.. the game is related to RL.. by the simple fact that people play the game, but you will never agree.. As far as being lured or in other ways killed outside wildy for your stuff being your own fault.. that is extremely callous, its mostly the new, inexperienced players that get victimised. Being young and new should not paint a target on your back.. Iv talked about us needing these newbs.. the game needing them, if you need some more explanation why.. please tell me, if you do not agree, please tell me why. Anyway, the whole point of 'paying forward' is that you help a stranger, who helps an other.. it could actually come back to you.. Lastly, also to Soma2035, I can not prove this, but several good sources , including tip.it times, claim that ddos attacks and the like are getting more prevalent and easier to do. If this is true, it will also be quite easy to get legit players , even smart ones, killed for there stuff.. why even take this risk? What upside is worth this? I do see Soma2035's point.. in that more risk would help good ppl get together basically.. but, that is far from full-proof.. I ones went to DK's with 2 friends and a good friend of a friend.. in the end I was out off my stuff.. I'm saying you have nothing to lose. You lure a noob which is pointless because you won't get anything form them, and the noob dies and quits. Well what has the lurer lost? Nothing at all. Or someone dies in a distant place, and don't have the correct teleports. You take their stuff, what did you lose from that? You call a high level a no-life, what did you lose for calling that high level a no life? So basically you don't lose anything not having honor. Really the only thing that honor helps with is that it increases the chance that someone might do something for you like bless your grave. There is a chance that someone could be nice to you but, thats their choice. You make a bunch of noobs quit, and Jagex loses profit, and has to shut down RS, well not really a problem considering no-one else is going to be playing and RS will have been a waste of time, and yes RS is a huge waste of time, but its a fun/relaxing waste of time. Just because you can be an [wagon] doesn't mean you should. You may not lose or gain anything by being malicious, but the people you are mean to certainly do. Yeah, that's right... Whether you care or not, there is another living, breathing HUMAN BEING on the other side of the screen who has feelings.
  19. Only in IPv4. IPv6 won't ever have that problem, as it is 128 bit compared to IPv4's 32 bits. There is literally enough IP addresses in it for every person on earth to have their own private IP address... Or so is claimed. /nerd :geek:
  20. Instead people will whine about getting a measly (but consistent) 300k loot when PKing, instead of a 19m VLS and 5m ancient statuette.
  21. Pre '07, people boss-hunted with far less valuable gear. Also, lootable graves at bosses is that this will give people an incentive to start "luring" at places like DKs and TDs. It gives people an INCENTIVE not to bless, when previously people would generally bless because it benefits the team (with faster kills and better anti-crash power) to have you return after a death. And since most of the teams at GWD were previously formed on the RSOF with strangers, this will have a devastating impact on boss hunting in general. Also, saying "QQ" really hurts your credibility and makes you look like a douchebag.
  22. You wha?! The statuettes were one of the main reasns for the massive inflation in Runescape in the last year or two. Why leave them in when there is the possibility to remove them? Very bad decision to leave them in the game. Agreed. They should have removed them had converted all existing ones into cash so that they didn't become rares.
  23. I've had countless dreams about acquiring Elys/Divines or Party hats.
  24. The problem with displaying Herblore in your combat level is how easy it is to make pots several levels below the required level using stews. I'd venture to say that the majority of people who use OVL aren't 96+ herblore.
