  1. If you're going to troll, at least try to be clever.
  2. So I made a mistake and looked like a [wagon], STFU about it already and quit spamming this thread. That goes for everybody. OT: This was a pretty big milestone for me; shame Iron Titan is bugged right now.
  3. No, you won it through trickery. People like you should be banned. Thats the sad thing, he isn't trolling. Maybe I am, maybe I'm not. ;)
  4. No, you won it through trickery. People like you should be banned. :-#
  5. No, you won it through trickery. People like you should be banned.
  6. I [bleep] with one hand and DG with the other. Pr0 multitask?
  7. Er yeah, I think it has much more to do with the fact that all of those people were <120 combat than the fact that they're female. And besides, how does he know? There are probably more males with female characters than actual females.
  8. ITT: determining who you shouldn't trust.
  9. Wait...what? you got banned for having more then one account?....what!? TIF ban, not RS ban. But yeah...
  10. They do have the resources to track and they have done it before. However, they don't refund things simply because if they made one exception, every single noob would come stampeding from the woodwork and demand "free st00f pl0x" because they "got hacked/scammed/lured/etc." It's far simpler to just say "no" to everybody.
  11. What bothers the hell out of me more than ANYTHING else in DGing are the quitters. You spend twenty minutes on a floor and then have some bad luck due to door lag or mages de-hooding you and you die. On the higher floors, that's about 15k exp you lost from that death. A lot of randoms will go "FFS MY EXP!!!11" and quit the floor after one death. Hello, dumb ass: you just wasted twenty minutes of your life because you got NO tokens for that and you probably only got <10k exp from that, too. When will people learn that when they quit halfway through a floor, they're sacrificing a whole lot more exp/hour than just the piddly 10-15k they lost because of dying?
  12. I find rushing dungeons to be fun. The reason for that is at lvl 94 DG, I get on average around 80k per dungeon (averaging the ~100k floors like 44-47 and the ~70k floors from 33-38), so getting 160k an hour (assuming two dungeons can be completed in an hour or a little more than an hour) is fun to me because it's rewarding. I like seeing those "+80,000" bubbles pop up, and doing it in a decent time span of ~30 minutes per floor gives me a sense of accomplishment.
  13. This. Where are the people that denied this would happen now? Seen the nice little thread (with 2542 replies already) of people being hacked? "RuneScape Forums > Account Help > Hijacked Today? Post Here" Look at the start date of that topic, all the replies have been made in 1 week!!! + the people that didn't post on that thread + the people that posted in their own language on RS-forum = a whole lot more Free trade sucks imo, it is a nice little playground for scammers of all sorts. One of the reasons people liked free trade were items being buyable over GE again. Blue phat was/is (I don't know at this time) over max cash, gf. No they didn't believe him. In fairness, I'd estimate that many of the posts on that thread are just idiots being idiots, trying to get free stuff. "Hai Jamflax mai main zezima got haked plz reset pw plz." You're right that nobody believed me. Some probably did, but they weren't the vocal ones. I had several people tell me "lul PKers are already griefing ass hats" and "bots are already a big problem" and "scamming won't be that bad." Sure, those people weren't entirely wrong, but they denied how bad these issues would become. Ever heard the phrase "give an inch, they'll take a mile"? Well, that thoroughly applies to the RS community. For a couple years people were governed by Jagex's tight controls, so now that freedom is restored, they don't know what to do with themselves. Because many of the people who play are immature kids (I don't mean that offensively-- it's the truth), and kids are rebellious by nature, it's no surprise that many of them became scammers/lurers.
  14. Surprised that scamming, luring, and general douchebaggery become extremely common with free trade? I'm not. I knew this would happen as soon as Jagex announced the poll. Nobody believed me...
  15. well he was basically just given 1.3b+ O_o e: i like lending system, i can lend items to friends without them being tempted to steal from me That's exactly the argument against it- it allows you things you would otherwise not be able to do if there was free trade. Oh wait, we do have free trade  How is that an argument against lending... it allows us to do things we were not able to do before free trade was removed. Free trade now =/= free trade then and free trade does not imply no lending in any way. The lending system was supposed to mimic or replace the notion of lending items to your friends before free trade was shot down. However, the lending system really doesn't mimic it very well, most often used to lend items to people you don't even know. Now that free trade is back, there is no reason not to remove the lending system. The same with LS/CS. LS/CS is nice because most people in RS are greedy doushebags and will rip you off. It's just unfortunate that Jagex [bleep]ed up the GE in every way possible (for a day it was actually fixed-- it's a shame they "fixed" the GE updating prices far beyond the 5% limit) so that the GE prices are way off from the "real prices."
  16. I hope it's true. I do think Nex needs to be nerfed so that she's easier to kill. At this rate, the average Joe will never be able to obtain a piece of Torva for example. Also, if this is how expensive level 85 armour is, I hate to think how much levels 90/95/99 armour will be :ohnoes: I just want the torva platebody though because it looks epic  Honestly Nex is fine as she is, the only thing I would do is maybe decrease the LP per stage so that kills are faster while remaining at the same difficulty. Even then, the current Nex is the best long-term profit of any monsterhunting. The only reason why armor is so expensive is that no one goes to Nex. It's a waste of supplies unless you have a ton of LSP (or find a permanent small FFA team), and you can't CS it because the GE values are pathetically low (plus some pieces are worth more than max cash). I don't have access to maxed forums or anything so I can't say for sure, I just offered it as one factor that may be affecting the price. I need to edit the prices in my last post slightly. Pernix is worth more than torva. Top+Bottom alone go for 4b+; cowl is much less but still adds on. This. Jagex's stupid [bleep]ing idea to nerf the way the GE was updating like 20% increases in one day ensured that it'll probably be a year or more until Torva/Pernix are high enough in the GE for people to CS it. With LS only rewarding one person and the best kill rate yielding about 4-6 kills per hour with an investment of close to a mil in supplies, the only profitable way to fight Nex is to go with a group of people who all really trust each other and just "ffa" it, splitting the cash evenly after someone sells a drop for its true price. Also, most people have arrived at a decent conclusion that Nex drops a special item about every 75-100 kills, but that is a deceivingly good drop rate (for the real prices of the items). Yes, the drop rates may be 5x better than Corp, but you can get 5x more Corp kills an hour so really the drop rates are fairly equal. Honestly, I think it would go a long way towards making Nex more fun and more popular if Jagex removed the Kill Count. I mean, we already have to get the special key to access that area...
  17. Furthermore, Cheesy (one of our ranked keyers) did several floors yesterday that he had already completed, just to help people out.
  18. More on-topic, while I think the idea of a "TIF-only world" is a noble one, it has its downsides too. The larger any specialized community becomes, the more its integrity suffers. If we were to create a specific "TIF DG world," the noobs and leeches would discover it eventually and corrupt it, making it into another W117/148. One solution is changing it periodically, but the noobs would just change with us once they caught on. Another solution is to only go with people you recognize as TIFers.
  19. My eyes, they burn! Please add some paragraph breaks so it doesn't all look like a huge block of text
  20. Don't get me wrong, there is a weak correlation between DG exp and usefulness, but it is GROSSLY overblown by elitists. I can understand the 100+ requirement because the primal plate bind is huge, but honestly a 115 dger is not going to be much better than a 103 dger. By that point, you've done enough dungeons that you either "get it" or you don't. I mean, honestly, consider that 100 DG is more than max in ANY other skill. And yet, the vast majority of the DG community considers a "mere level 100" DGer to be a noob in that skill.
  21. We de-bunked the myth that higher DG = better players the other day. There was a level 110 DG guy who was a [bleep]ing tard. First of all, he was the only one who could do a particular door and he delayed our whole team by choosing to make armor first instead of doing that skill door. And then, he mined AND smelted way more prom than he needed, therefore wasting what could have been used to make familiars. He was very slow to respond to the keyer's commands, and overall he was very frustrating to work with. And from what I've heard, w53 is only a little better than 148 these days. Sure, the people have high DG but many of them are just as lazy/incompetent as the 117/148s and worse, most of them have 2300+ total levels so almost every skill challenge is 90 or 100+, resulting in a good many doors that need pots. DGing with a maxed player has its benefits (you can't get locked out of a door), but on the same token it makes the overall difficulty of the dungeon a lot harder.
  22. This. We all know how successful Jagex's "swiftkit" imitations have been.
  23. Gargs are cake with an Iron/Steel titan and the quickblow ability.
