Can it really get much worse? I mean, the second xp weekend pretty much ensured that GWD was jam-packed 24/7.

So would you say it is or is not worth getting an Arma Skirt, then?

I don't see any way Karil's is better than Arma...unless you melee like every form...? :-k Claw spec first and third form. Not worth all the lost bonuses, just for a few claw specs. Even in Arma, claws hit 60-70% of the time, at least that's my experience. Everyone is forgetting that we're building our Nex setups off range, not melee. 99% of the kill is ranging, therefore the focus should be on max range bonus. Also, I think without ACP/Deflector, void isn't really worth the lost defence and extra switch. ACP adds a lot of accuracy to range attacks, whereas just void with spectral, I hit a lot less consistent. How would an EEKS compare to a spectral there? Because there's no way in hell I'll be able to afford Claws + thousands of brews + arma + Ceremonial robes + spectral + still have enough to get my last level of summoning to use a Yak. Something has to give, so if I can get by fine with an EEKS, I'd much rather just DG some more and get one.

You can't buy [cabbage] out in the free trade era. If you want to offer like double the price for herbs, I'm sure your offers would fill ;) And as has been stated, the hoarders will probably dump closer to the actual event. So don't panic yet.

o_O Void + ACP? Or just straight void? Also, doesn't wearing void really effect your spec damage, since you don't get the bonus because claws remove deflector? Or do you waste a lot of inv and bring a void melee helm + body?

[garden tool] hum. What do you know, isn't this the guy who bashes every recent development and blames pvp for it. Obviously crashing must be there because of pvp aswell. Must be a pretty big stick up there.. :rolleyes: The Wildy Update brought back a lot of people, period. Therefore, it's fair to say that because it renewed interest in the game, and some of the people that came back were/are griefers, the Wildy/Free Trade made griefing more common. I wasn't trying to claim that "OMG PEEKAYS ARE GRIEFING IN PVM@@@."

*shrugs* People in this game tend to be [wagon] more often than not. There's an awful lot of griefers, especially since the Wildy Update brought a bunch of retired griefers back into the game. To me, what you described is not that much different from the [bleep]s who will run into TDs, see you're there, and then proceed to lure all of them over to you and then log/tele.

Price manipulation still exists, but if you are willing to pay whatever exorbitant price people are asking for items that are in very high demand, you can get them. It wasn't that way in the GE era. If you had the money and wanted to pay 14k each for ranarrs to get them immediately, you couldn't. Now you can. Nevertheless, that doesn't mean this doesn't [bleep] up the economy.

Jagex and logic are mutually exclusive.

This. EW3 was one of the most excruciating quests in the game. The only ones that come close are See No Evil and One Small Favour. Not to mention that the rewards COMPLETELY suck for the hours of irritation involved in EW quests.

Yeah, we don't do that. Unless it's someone we recognize from another, rival clan we don't flame them when we kill them. That is, unless they flame us first. Then we might say something like "cya hick" or something.

Ditto lol. I need 1.7k charms to get a Yak and I need money for gear. :( That is a major hyperbole, though. Remember, opportunity cost drives a free market. Soon, the prices for Torva/Pernix will reach their low valley and then start going back up because people would quit doing Nex otherwise. All the speculators are currently afraid to buy it because the supply has increased so much with the changes to Nex, but already the initial flood of people trying out Nex again is dying up. And let's face it, even with the drop changes, there aren't going to be NEARLY as many Nex drops coming into the game each day as there are Bandos/Armadyl pieces because very few people meet the requirements to efficiently kill Nex. Not only do you have to have max combat, but you have to also have tens of millions in gear, 91 herblore, 96 summoning, and high DGing.

How in the world is it better Corp gear than Pernix? Even though it does have 26% melee absorb for a full set, it has under 150 melee defense and 76 magic defense. Regardless of healing and absorb, you'll get hit with pretty much everything an awful lot in Virtus.

I just rage because i literally risk nothing. Its like the kill me for sport...yet the sport is like shooting fish in a barrel. I dont even eat...Enjoy my cakes I guess? LOL As part of a clan that regularly sweeps Revs looking for people to kill, we do it because there's a chance you might have Rev loot in your inventory. Another reason we do it is for Forinthery Bracelets and food you may be carrying.

I out dps'd them with range using a crystal bow the last time I tried it. That said, I used a FSH on a Jad task, and I am 99 ranged. I didn't have access to extreme ranged or rigour at that point either, so I used deflects to deal a lot of the damage.

I was actually thinking of that, at least with Pernix. I'd wait another day or two and then jump on some. With the rate it's dropping, it'll probably get within ~100m of the GE prices and then start shooting back up as the merchants pounce on it. So if you have max cash, it'd be a great time to get some Pernix. It would help tremeondously with Nex and also be good for Corp (assuming you went with friends you could trust not to jack your [cabbage] if you died and couldn't make it back in time). I don't really think Torva is worth it. Nobody is gonna risk a set of items worth ~800m GE while PKing, and you can already effortlessly slaughter the other GWD bosses with good ol' Bandos. The only reason I could see getting some Torva is if you plan to solo Sara/Bandos. Torva would make for some epic Bandos Solos, but other than that I don't really see it being worth the buy costs nor the upkeep costs. Makes me sad I've never had over a 200m bank :sad: Oh well, hopefully my luck will turn around once I get a Yak and start doing some Nex with friends.

People are panic selling because of the drop rate update. In a few weeks, it'll settle down. Settle down, but at a lower price. The falling in price right now is 100% deserved and logical. Agreed. Nothing in the game that isn't discontinued should be worth maxed cash or even close to it. I see these items settling at around 500-700m per piece for Torva and slightly higher for Pernix, since it will probably end up with more demand because it's useful at Nex. Which, at the supposed 1:20 or 1:30 drop rate that currently exists, is awesome.
