I didn't know black hide was brown and had spikes on it. Vision fail  Okay, I half-retract my statement. You're still using a godsword. Whips are much better.

Is the Zaryte Bow the best at anything?
Not at all, just that if you take 200M of items that aren't protected on death with you when you go to a dangerous place, you should understand that there is a potential risk of you losing them, and that it was your choice to bring them and therefore you cannot blame someone/something else for their loss. That's still a [cabbage] cop-out by Jagex. You shouldn't lose months of work because of bad weather or Jagex's [cabbage]ty servers.

It makes me cry inside every time I see someone in black hides with a godsword or dragon halberd post a claw drop.

Whats a Scythe worth?
I actually think Scythes/Bunny Ears are worth more as nontradeables, because they show you actually played during the RSC era.

Is the Zaryte Bow the best at anything?
That aptly describes this. The two best uses ATM seem to be DKs and TDs. At DKS it is a pain in the ass to retrieve your bolts and nobody uses an accumulator there because prayer is your main limiting factor in trip length. Even then, it'd only really be useful in duos/trios, since the most efficient solo method is to ignore Prime entirely, letting Deflect Magic slowly kill him while you tank Supreme and safe-spot Rex. For TDs, it could be useful when paired with a Maul, but a rapier + ddef is better than a maul if you are good at switching. Also, chances are if you are wealthy enough to afford the bow (right now, anyway... I still think it'll crash hard soon after Free Trade comes out), you have 99 summoning so it'd be much better to rely on the Titan for most of your ranged damage.

Whip vs. Chaotic Rapier?
TIF has become a lot like the RSOF since the revelation of "Wildy coming back." Wish a lot of the people who quit after 12/10 stayed quit. At the very least, I would have thought they'd have grown up a little since then. Nope, once a derp always a derp. Judging from your generalisation, and the use of an irritating and inappropriate meme, they're not the only ones who need to grow up a little. I get very sick of this attitude sometimes. Actually I've noticed a deterioration of this community since the whole efficiency wave came along. People started trolling topics which they had little interest in just because they didn't play the "right" way. Just my observations. No, it's become worse because of a combination of generalists, unwillingness to accept reasonable logic, pride, and overall stubbornness. Oh, also holding grudges. Which both this and your post show. Anyway, I digress. This is a dumb thread. Yah lol. No grudges held, I promise, I just don't like the way dragonlordlj pinned everything on this wilderness/free trade coming back :P Meh. I just saw a lot of trolls who happen to be PKers show up around the time Jagex announces the return of the wilderness/free trade and formed a correlation between the two. I'll admit that I was probably wrong to make that correlation, and I apologize for coming off as a [bleep]. I just can't stand people who brag about how they are or plan to be [wagon]. It's their right if they want to act like that, as long as they are following Jagex's rules, but it rubs me wrong when they openly flaunt their rude attitudes. Am I making any sense? On a slightly different tangent, the OP has been deemed a troll in several different threads by several different people. His posts carry little or no substance and he seems to be just trying to get a rise out of people. Hell, in a few of the older "Wildy returning threads" he more-or-less copy-pasted the same statement about how he can't wait for RuinedScape to be fixed and how he plans to lure and PJ. Most people ignored his posts so he kept posting the same messages across a few different threads to try to get a response. Trollish behavior. What I don't get is why the TIF mods haven't stepped in and removed people like him.

Is the Zaryte Bow the best at anything?
The biggest thing is that it's 80m+ and it's not the BEST for anything. That pricetag won't last long after free trade.

Summoning in the Wilderness
Exactly. People whining about this are invariably the people without the levels. JUST. LIKE. EXTREME. POTIONS. I am not yet 96 summoning but I have been working my ass off lately to get charms for it, and I will be really mad if they nerf it. 96+ summoning is much harder to obtain than 96+ herblore, since in addition to having to spend hundreds of millions on supplies and shards, you also have to get the charms which takes a long time. I don't have 96 on the account I currently play on. But that's not to say I don't have 96 summ. And the ones whining to use their extremes and winter storage are none other then skillers which will never bother pking. I'm in a clan that does a fair bit of P2P. I'm not just "some skiller." That said, I do see the viewpoint of the people who don't want extremes in the Wild: the RS combat system simply can't deal with extremes in PvP. Damage absorption doesn't really do [cabbage] and Torva is like DSS and a full set probably won't ever be used except in single-way Wildy rushes where there's very little danger of losing it (since rushing is the only way you'll get fights wearing that).

Is the Zaryte Bow the best at anything?
Agree. This outdated "high alchemy value" system is [cabbage], especially since Jagex consistently undervalues new items that are really hard to obtain.

The ZB might be better at DKS since it has a longer distance than a CCB and has better ranged strength than what people usually use (because you don't have the looting problem). Also, it likely has a big protect value, whereas the CCB has a pathetically low protect value.

Banishing the Revenants 27-Jan-2011
Haha, that's me in the HP cape just about to run out of the shot. On topic: The final event was a massive fail. We circled the Wilderness three times without seeing one revenant. Mod Timbo leading us unexpectedly logged out and left us as a colossal group in level 45+ Wilderness. Someone had obviously banished them before we came along. And anyone expected it to go down differently? This is why there was so much Jagex-bashing in this thread. If they were going to make it a community event, one would have thought they would have had the idea to spawn a bunch of revenants on the world of the event.

Wilderness and Free Trade will return - 17 January 2011
I am so looking forward to spending an hour trying to get into W2 and W117. Jagex needs to buy bigger servers to accommodate the masses of people returning. In fact, today I spent 17 minutes before I was able to get into W117. Between this and the "Your account is still logged in--- booted to login screen" bug, I am quickly losing patience with this game.

Whip vs. Chaotic Rapier?
Why has this troll not been banninated yet?

TDs. (added a DG question)
Ccbow + Void Range + Deflector + Karils Top > Karils Xbow.

Full worlds
Yet another bad thing about the Wildy/Free Trade update... All these people unretiring is going to cause massive congestion in an already-crowded game. I will miss the days when it was relatively easy to get into "Full" worlds.

Banishing the Revenants 27-Jan-2011
I guess that means they'll be low risk high reward, because they're getting all of the pvp equipment when the move happens. No, they'll be high risk. Judging from the pictures, Revenants are not going to be the only monsters in that new dungeon, and Jagex has said the dungeon will be PvP-enabled... So it'll basically be a turf war in there with various clans crashing each other. Except that unlike other PvM areas, you can actually kill each other outright to claim the spot. It actually sounds like a fun time.

TD prayer switching?
Ranged defense doesn't do jack [cabbage] there. Their ranged attack seems to ignore defense and hits randomly. Magic defense does make a significant difference. Therefore, when you have doubts, pray Range. Also, about every 90 seconds, they'll charge up and hit you with an AOE magic attack. One strategy to eliminate prayer switching altogether is to use Soul Split. They only switch styles when you block their attacks with prayers, so since you aren't blocking melee when you are using SS (and Melee is by far their least accurate style), they'll just use it until they die or you step out of melee distance.
