  1. inb4 fail pkers ddos the jagex TS servers
  2. The biggest thing Free Trade did for me was made me realize that when all these obscenely rich folks were offering 1b+ for items during the GE era, they actually HAD the cash to back those trades up. Seeing party hats traded for billions is mind-boggling, considering I've never owned more than ~150m cash at one time.
  3. Jagex should just sell RS to Blizzard.
  4. Hopefully they'll sell the rights to RS to some other company first, and hopefully that company wouldn't be as [bleep]ing clueless as Jagex.
  5. Who knows what Jagex supports anymore, other than the almighty Pound. They've proven they aren't afraid to sacrifice ethics to make more money, so I don't see why they wouldn't go all-in and do micropayments. Yes, it would corrupt the already-pathetic community. Yes, it would cause a lot of people (including me) to quit. However, in time the quitters would be replaced by people who didn't know RS without micropayments and a new status quo would develop.
  6. I wondered if this was the reason. I knew there was an open-source bot that most of the people in the CT dragons and ess mines were using.
  7. Uh. No it wouldn't. All it would do is open up competition between Jagex and RWT websites. Jagex would probably end up with having the RWTers offer the best deal (lower prices, etc) since Jagex is actually trying to profit off of this whereas many RWTers just sell gold on the side. As for selling gold, Jagex could also open up a lot of competition, but unless Jagex is willing to almost give mils away for free, the RWT community would probably offer lower prices. In the end, the ONLY way for Jagex to stop RWTing is to totally bork the game. If Jagex were to sell gold for $1/mil, I doubt any RWT companies would be able to beat that price. They wouldn't be able to turn a profit like that, when you take into account the costs of memberships, internet, and the sweatshop workers who while they are paid pennies on the dollar still do have to be paid.
  8. FWIW, with Jagex sinking this low, the next logical step is for them to sell their own gold. I mean, it's obvious they have no ethics at all anymore and are trying to milk RS for every last penny they can get from it. And what better way to make some extra money than to sell in-game currency to the lazy noobs who don't want to work for things?
  9. Yup. I know if I were to steal my parents' credit cards, they wouldn't just ban me from RS... They'd probably literally smash my laptop in front of me. And then, being as I am well over 14, they'd probably call the police on me :P
  10. Bull mother[bleep]ing [cabbage]. That's a humongous rationalization. It is item scamming because you trade him the battle axes knowing they will protect over his more valuable items. Just because he gets something out of it doesn't mean jack [bleep]ing [cabbage]. One could use your same twisted logic to say "I swapped the verac helm for a 2nd skirt, but it's not scamming because he still received four Verac items!" You disgust me.
  11. No, I'm saying that you should be prepared to risk losing your chaotic if you want to bring 3 items that protect over it. Dying can be unavoidable and it's likely that everyone, if they keep bossing, will die eventually, so plan your gear accordingly and don't risk items that you're not prepared to have a chance at losing. Obviously you do not own a crossbow. It has a ridiculously low protect value, so low that just about anything decent you wear will protect over it. It's [cabbage] that you have to wear what is considered to be welfare not to risk it. Just to put things into perspective, Karil's Top protects over it. And you lose Karil's top in just about any situation.
  12. Most people who say QQ these days mean "cry moar," possibly because it looks like two eyes with tears coming out.
  13. All you [bleep]s who lure people with noted items need to just die in a fire. Seriously, you're not cool and nobody cares about the loot you earned by essentially scamming somebody.
  14. GG bank. Not me, not mine. This was posted on my clan's forums.
  15. And people wonder why a negative stereotype for PKers exists...
  16. Well Hati wolf made it so no one could log in for 15 mins and that was only a minor update, so.... They accidentally rollback all accounts to 2007 and delete all those made after would be the worst thing that'd happen. Someone bothered to lure the Hati Wolf all the way down to Catherby and it pwned the [cabbage] out of some bots. Lulz were had
  17. I'll check out the marketplace to see what kind of pandemonium has occurred.
  18. Yes, quite a few do. There are actually people in Edgeville waiting for the update to happen, despite a long and consistent track record of updates occurring between 1-4 PM GMT (8-11 a.m. EST). You can't underestimate how dumb some of the people who play this game are. Anybody remember the "Hold onto your Robin hats!" debacle?
  19. Apparently anything below 100 is considered "low."
  20. The problem with DGing is that most of the helpful high level DGers reached their goals and quit, leaving just uber-elitist snobs to run things. The entire skill has gotten unbearably elitist. It's [bleep]ing [cabbage] that you have to get nearly DOUBLE level 99 in DG before you can even get on a decent team.
  21. selling bedmans account 100 dollars I buy I buy!!!!1
  22. You mean skillers that have never pked/will never pk that feel the need to enlighten everyone with their ignorance  Oh how easy it is to generalize. I know I have been guilty of it too, but as I have said earlier, I am closer to a PKer than a skiller. The only time I do non-combat skills (other than slayer) is when it benefits me with quests or it benefits me with combat (i.e. herblore/dungeoneering). I'm around 85% combat based. I'm in a PKing clan.
