No, their melee has the same max hit as their magic and ranged, like 269. However, it rarely hits above 200.

What can't you wait to do in the new Golden Age of Runescape?
Spoken like a typical skiller. And a wbm  edit: damn it blood^ Spoken like a typical troll. If you brag about planning to PJ, lure, and hunt skillers, you are a [cabbage]bag. And people like that are responsible for giving PKers the bad name that many oh-so-detestable-skillers associate with them. Go back to the RSOF, and take your little buddies with you. It's quite fun to piss people like yourself off. But you aren't pissing me off. You're just making yourselves look like conceited, immature trolls. You're the one flaming pkers and crying over how mean everyone is going to be when the wild comes back. You should stop trolling now. kthxbye. I'm agreeing with anonymouse_ in this case.. Dragonlordjl and other skills who do not even bother to pk at all should not even talk at all about the wild or pkers. A few nasty people gave the whole community crap stereotype. I've been pking since the old wilderness, and I have never noticed the community as bad as people say it is. I often find pretty fun people out there. Hunting skillers in the wild sounds pretty fun. I sent you a PM in response to this. I don't feel like debating with the rest of the trolls on here.

Dungeoneering Rants.
I hate how this skill is designed where you need to interact with other players in order to maximize exp. It's frustrating as hell trying to train this skill because even though I am 92 DG, all of the "pro teams" look down on that as being completely nooby... Therefore, I am stuck using w148. Most of the people in W148 are derpers, so the average large dungeon takes 90-120 minutes which is obscene. In a couple months, the only viable method of training below 100 DG is going to be solo, and that really sucks.

Also barrows degrade faster in multi: it's because of the game mechanics. In "multi" every game tick, the games sees you in combat with something. Actually, I don't think barrows does degrade faster in multi It does.

Tormented Demons
How experienced are you at TDs? If you're just beginning, I'd recommend you bring Karils top and bottom and a neitiznot, along with cls + defender and a rune crossbow to start with. You will risk a chaotic crossbow if you bring it, so only do that once you're comfortable there. Whether you use OVL or xpots is up to you, it really doesn't matter. OVL will save a lot of room, though. They only switch attack styles when you block a certain number of attacks with your prayers. By switching to SS when they are using Melee, which is by far their least accurate style, they will remain on melee until they die or you step out of melee distance or of course, you pray against Melee for a few attacks. Also, turmoil is superior to piety/rigour. I'd recommend claws over EEE when you get some experience. A pony is vastly superior to a Steel Titan for beginners, as well. However, you can get an amazing amount of kills per hour with a Steel Titan, provided you know what you're doing. Once you get experience, I also recommend using Void. Mage defense makes a big difference here, but ranged defense barely helps at all.

But comparing chaotic weaponry to the new armour does not make sense. Using chaotics when cannoning dag kings actually gives you MORE profit per hour because of increased kills per hour than the whip. However this new armour does not increase offensive capabilities at all meaning that you are spending x amount of money for defensive capabilities. It will not give you any more profit than using bandos would, and since you can survive and dks/basically any other boss until you are bored, I see little incentive to use this armour outside of Nex/pvp. Ironic, huh? I figured that because this update was essentially designed to reduce the power creep in PvP, Jagex would make it fairly accessible. Nope.

3rd Age/Spirit shields/Phats Discussion
I'm assuming it will be cash buyable, not needing rares. From what I hear the drops aren't ultra rare. I think Jagex legitimately wants these armors to change combat, making them available to a larger population than say: divines/elys. I would most definitely wait at least a month or so however. I disagree- look at the requirements for this boss. It's all but required to have at least 8 people with 96 summoning, overloads, and spending 200k+ per kill in supplies EACH, wasting 25+ minutes in prep time and then 6+ minutes per kill, only to get 5 kills a trip. These are all people who could easily go to TDs and make 4m per hour instead of doing Nex, and after the novelty wears off a lot of them are going to do just that because Nex is so expensive and time consuming, and it won't be too long before it's difficult to get a team of qualified applicants together. With that kind of limited supply, these armors are ideal for hoarding. I've already seen a lot of people cashing in partyhats for the armor because they seem to think it's a better option than holding partyhats through free trade coming out. We could easily be looking at something similar to, but slighter cheaper than, the divine spirit shield with every piece of this armor. But these other options like TD have some degree of liability so for instance if people keep milking claws and dragon pieces off them, it's obvious that they will eventually fall in price to where they aren't very profitable anymore. The difficulty of obtaining Torva armor and it's incredibly humongous demand will keep 1000s of players hunting Nex until they can get one. With Lootshare introduced, people just don't seem to care if they'd rather make more profit by doing something else other then hunting a boss to get an item they really want. It's only been 2 days since the armor was released so of course it's a good idea to hoard and stash in rares to trade them. This is old news. ...I don't see anything here that actually refutes anything I said. Am I missing something? I do.. sort of. He's saying that because the armor is so desirable, there will always be people doing Nex to try to get it even though it's not terribly profitable. Also, if what you say is true (and I don't doubt it), the armor prices will soar until they hit an "equilibrium" where they become valuable enough to entice new people to start doing Nex again. If Torva hits 500m+ per piece, I'm sure that'd be more than enough to draw a crowd to kill Nex, especially since the drop rates is (at the lowest) around the rates of the other GWD items, and I believe they're actually a little more common than other GWD items.

Imagine what it'll be like when RWT companies camp their bots there, too... And...? Are you worried about botters spamming the RSOF about overcrowding or something? More bots at already saturated places will change nothing. ON the other hand, we will have important parts of Runescape returned to us. Just that the bots will drive down the prices of resources, widening the money gap between skilling and boss hunting even more. *shrugs* Bots never really that much of a direct impact one as I never fished or cut wood much. I will say that I'd much rather have bots than the rigid price controls with the GE that enable such flagrant price manipulation.

And you believe them? Go look at CT green dragons-- there's a plethora of botters and most of them are just PLAYERS controlling the bots. Imagine what it'll be like when RWT companies camp their bots there, too...

What difference does it make to you, honestly? For someone to be able to afford a piece of Torva, assuming it stabilizes at around 200m (and that's a big assumption as it'll probably be much higher) and gauging gold at $5/M, it'd cost 1k USD to be able to afford ONE PIECE of Torva. That's really not going to happen.

Introductions & Farewells
Here is a little ( or as much as I can come up with ) about me. Generally, I'm a peaceful, loving person. "Don't judge me, simply get to know me. I'll surprise you but I certainly won't disappoint you." Usually when people try to judge me, they end up wrong. By the time you even think you've got me all figured out I've probably changed already, but in the sense that I've grown as a person. Get to know me for yourself. The name's Miracle. I'm 17, and a Junior in High School. I pretty much dedicate my life to the good of humanity, but no one is perfect. I don't judge, it's not my place or my business. People need people, whether we choose to admit it or not. I'd rather help others than hurt them. It's probably one of the only things that keep me going. God. Love. Life. Laughs. Photography. Poetry. Music. Beach. Friends. People. Possibilities. Words. Blessings. Solitude. Happiness. Peace. Serenity. Spirituality.Surprises. Singing. Rain. Dancing. Exercise. Creativity. Individuality. Intellectual. Empathetic. Individual. Nice. Friend. Extrovert. Antisocial. Creative. Blunt. Wordy. Ambivalent. Epiphanous. Spiritual. Radiant. Easygoing. Me. I'm usually a happy, peaceful person. I have strong morals that I live by and I live by them simply because I understand them, not because anyone taught them to me. I wouldn't live my life by anything I didn't understand or try to figure out for myself. My religion doesn't define me, I define my religion. To me religion is just another title and I don't need it to know what I'm all about. If you have any questions, ask me. Awesome intro, and nice picture too :shades:

You're currently lucky to get two kills per trip.

10-01-11 God Wars - The Ancient Prison
It's much better with a group than solo, everything runs a lot more smoothly if you're using decent gear, as long as you keep it from becoming a giant cluster- Yea, i'm finished. On-topic, I do think Jagex did a good job with Nex. She is very challenging and has some great sound effects both with her attacks and voice acting.

It's definitely not Divine-like. I'd say it's actually not bad, if this is the final drop rate and wasn't just Jagex making it more common in the beginning. There's quite a few pictures of drops floating around, given how few Nex kills there has been. Probably only a few hundred kills since her release.

That video was at double or triple speed, so that was at least 12 minutes for that one kill, in addition to a hefty supply cost. Until the armor gets to be worth 400m+ per piece, I don't really think this boss is profitable.

10-01-11 God Wars - The Ancient Prison
[bleep]ing hoarders, how do they work? On a positive note, it seems the drops from this boss are fairly common, so that's something Jagex did right for once. :-)

10-01-11 God Wars - The Ancient Prison
No. It is crossbow speed, therefore it's not the best training weapon.
-
10-01-11 God Wars - The Ancient Prison
This. Players with Divines were nigh-impossible to kill already, but you combine a Divine and Torva and they'll quite literally be impossible to KO.

Quick find code: 17-18-299-62157528 The OP does have the platelegs drop in his AL, so I am not sure why he'd make this up.
