I blocked them because I find them slow to kill. I don't know that you're necessarily doing anything wrong; they are just obnoxious. Still, the AoW guide shows they can be underrated, if you can put up with them.

I heard that "cut-all" in Barb fishing made it slower, to the point it's no faster than Shilo fishing. Is this true? Can anyone give me updated rates? I'm just getting back into fishing so I can complete the Ardy elite diary eventually. Thanks in advance.

Mod Nancy responding to people on the thread: @ one guy - Some of the more difficult cases will require some leg work to interview witnesses. I'm trying to keep this to a minimum, though. @ another guy - Great questions! We are planning on having a bit of an informal tier system with the caes. So there will be some pretty easy ones, some intermediate ones, and some difficult ones. Difficult in the sense that they are more complex or require more leg work to get the facts. As for researching the case, that will depend on difficulty. Easy ones most of the facts will be presented to you, difficult ones may involve some actual sleuthing at the scene of the crime. Less sure on that one at the minute, as I'm still toying with how it will work. It's unlikely the event will release cases on a weekly basis. Right now we're thinking maybe something more like Treasure Trails where you get a 'Court Summons' in a drop. That way you won't plow through them too fast! ... @ a third guy - For right now, you won't be able to repeat a case once you've completed it. It's still early stages, so that may change, but that's how it currently stands. ... @ person #4 - I don't want it to be as rare as a Champion Scroll either. That's why I said like Treasure Trails, which are much more common. This bit is still in the air, so don't worry too much about how you'll get a case. Lots of things can change between now and release. But thanks for the feedback!

This is why I would expect it to be a weekly thing, like Penguins/Circus, etc. Probably a high exp reward, with some possible costumes that improve your presentation in court (i.e. powdered wig, etc.).

It does. Maybe the difference is that this will only be playable on a weekly basis for nice rewards, but mainly because they'll need time to write new stories for it? Who knows... Looking forward to it, though! :thumbsup:

Block steel dragons, and after that up to you. Irons are more optional, but I've blocked them, and I have wyverns blocked, too. Can't recall my fourth blocked task atm...

I'd recommend you take it in chunks, not all at once. Kudos to you if you do it--the rarest 99 out there. Make sure to do herb runs which help break down your day with "breaks."

I'm not sure what further assistance you're expecting? I haven't mined for months, never seen a d pick in game and yet from the comments above I can discern that: 1. Current price is quite a lot higher than the price at which it will settle (expected to be similar to d-hatchet) 2. If you're serious about mining it is worth getting the best pick available irrespective of cost 3. It is 5-10% better than a rune pick 4. It is still a high demand object so there will be no problem in selling it 5. It's not worth it if you're only planning to mine concentrated ore If that's not enough information for you to make your mind up, I suggest testing it out yourself. I think he was (and I am) particularly interested in the fifth thing you said. But was that conclusion just deduced from the above? because I don't know of any proof that rune pick and dragon pick are equal on concentrated ore. Can someone point the way to this proof?

I suggest Chaos Tunnels, although it's not a big difference if you're using a Bunyip. Ignore the Death Spawns, also.

Also, Son of Judas, you're overlooking that some people already have the 12M in the bank, and they don't need to work any more than they normally do to buy it and sell it later.

I think you get the best return with 7.5M in the coffers. Correct me if I'm wrong. 10% of what's in the coffers per day, UP TO 75k if you've done both quests. So you'll want to have a buffer of at least 525k+a default 675k, though I have one of about 750k+675k because I check every ten days and bring the nice round number of 750k along with me. Yes, this is right. Except I think 75k is just 1% of 7.5M, so it's 1% of what's in the coffers per day? Thanks for the info, Lielac.

Not sure on the xp/hour, but I think Varrock Armour 1 only smelts up to steel bars two at a time, so I'm guessing you'd need the level 2 Armour for gold. I'm smelting 30k more gold bars myself, and while I never tested the xp/hour, I've been pretty happy with the speed. Make sure to get goldsmithing gauntlets, of course.
