I don't understand why people sample their work so obviously, it's hard to crit, no one will steal it since selling for runescape cash is banned. And not to be rude, it doesn't look professional enough to be stolen for use in anything, the only things I see to be stolen is game-work as is character sprites, level tiles etc.. But general pixel art shouldn't be a major concern, it's no big loss if people used my work without my knowledge, I see it more of a flatteration that someone took the time to use 'my' work over anyone else's :lol: It looks like the character is built straight from a runescape character as reference, Id personally like to be more creative with it and do another angle, add some sort of posture. he looks a bit stiff atm. It's good tho, hope your carry on pixeling.

Why are people keeping a gradianted backdrop?? it's not supposed to be a flat canvas. Nazgul740 has the right idea.. I'd do something like this, either something happening in between two spaces or something made into the wood as if its been carved out like a sculpture. it's a straight on view so I don't understand why people are curving the totem pole as if we're looking down/up at it. very quickly done just to show, i'll start something soon.

will the entries be displayed or anything, it's hard to find who did what in the brackets (well maybe im just too lazy search through it.). Im interested in what people submitted tho. Ill make sure I do something better next time, I feel like I let myself down with that mockup.

Nothing magical or interesting happens to you when you die, I personally think whoever thinks death leads to something else, isn't living their lives to the fullest, death isn't exactly a good thing, people die lonely, scared, unwillingly every single minute. instead of pondering a near improbability, be greatful for the gift of life and fulfill everything you ever dreamed of. sure it would be nice to know that there's something else after death, but really.. until there's something that clearly proves that im not gonna consider it. And im not willing to waste my time proving the unprovable.

Well I was too late with the deadline so I posted in what I could at the time, but this is it with an extra hour or two put in. I was suprised I got thru with what I sent :anxious:

I love diet coke and coke zero, if you drink it all the time it does mess up your stomach for a while but nothing too deadly about coke.. I drink like 5 cans a day of it, and im fine..

well yes there is no need for it, but while you're on the topic, there is no need for pixel art in todays gaming world, less and less people are interested... So why are you all trying to be pixelers?? if you don't care about keeping your colourcount down then you may as well brush your work on photoshop..

cheers. you guys still don't get it, pixel art is all about only using as many colours as absolutely necissery. It shouldn't be a certain number unless you're working to a certain palette for gaming purposes (whether that be actually making a game or just practicing for sheer interest), each piece is different, whilst working you judge how many colours you need as you go, if two shades just aren't working and dithering doesn't make that much difference, its your decision to add that extra shade if you feel it needs it.. But I do think keeping below a certain amount is vital, but it depends on the size of the canvas you're working on, you can't use as many colours as you do on a sprite with a full size pixel piece like 500x500 for example..

From when I woke up i had Ker-plunk (a kids game lol) and a shaving kit waiting at the end of my bed :D for main presents I got a digital camera 6.0 megapixels with a gig memory, Some new trainers, An expensive 'animator's survival kit' book which is really awesome its the best present eva, A gig memory stick, and an artist studio set for painting canvas' an stuff with loads of paint too. not so main present were probably, chocolates (large quality street tin, some posh chocolates, tin of Roses and large toblarone.), socks, little toy granny racers, diodorant + hair/body products, a belt, some tshirts erm some other stuff too lol

when I was working as a kitchen porter I accidently smashed a large stack of glass bowls and glasses and my hands were engulfed in glass, had a real big piece stickin into my right hand and loads of shards, few slashes and more glass that I had to pull out, the amount of blood was horrible and I just quickly wrapped my worst hand in a big cloth that immediately turned red.. The bleeding didn't stop for an day or so had to keep it held and eventually had loads of stitches. As an artist this scared the living hell outta me, my hands are my life. So basically were im going with this is, I have a really big phobia of glass, not windows or anything stupid, things like wine isles in supermarkets (especially my local has a really narrow isle :ohnoes: ), glasses left on tabes or at the edge of the table, smashed phone boxes etc.. it just sends a shiver down my spine and I just feel like staying as far away as possible. As if im going to fall into it or something.. But im not the sort of person to let my fears take over me, I face it head on :thumbsup: oh btw no my hands aren't disfigured or anything they were just scars which have faded loads now :) my hands look normal. but at the time you could see bone :-X

Yeah my bro's got that at my dad's house, plays it on a large HD screen and I gotta say it really is amazing, =D> round of appaulse to who made it.. It took a while to get used to the controls but you get into a system and develop a stratagy which is boss, I never played counterstrike or anything for a long period so I guess im still new but I did play quake 3 for a long while so I was suprisingly good for a beginner. :D I know there are gonna be people who just pick it up straight away and are almost robot like controllin it, those people are just weird. -.-
