School shooting in CT on 14-12-2012
I think that any American citizen should be able to fully realize their rights as defined by the Constitution. You may not have use for an "assault-styled" weapon or any desire to own one, but it doesn't mean those reasons don't exist. I don't think that we should be arbitrarily limiting our freedoms because of a few unsavory acts by crazy individuals. It's the same reason I'm not calling for the silencing of hate speech for all because of the Westboro Baptist Church.

School shooting in CT on 14-12-2012
Thought I'd post this here so I don't forget. http://www.theblaze....nt-want-to-see/ Rifles make up a very small percentage of murders in the U.S. (about 350 out of 13000). Banning "assault-styled weapons" won't have much effect (if any) in the number of homicides.

If the only time you ever try to debate gun control is after a tragedy, are you even trying to have a rational argument?

School shooting in CT on 14-12-2012
This is a tragedy. I can't imagine how I'd feel if I found out this happened to my 6 year old brother, and it makes me quite emotional to think what these families are going through. I don't understand how someone with a conscious can inflict harm on children. What a monster. (To anyone really) Make a thread on this in two months when (hopefully) we're not thinking about a tragedy and I'll debate you on the subject. I don't think it's an appropriate discussion at the moment.

Elimination of 5 f2p worlds, high-risk wilderness in themed world reshuffle
JaGEx has started to undo the F2P policies that I find most abhorrent, including the removal of the level cap in Dungeoneering, as well as plans to reinstate F2P high scores. Re-purposing worlds to meet demand is a logical step that I'd expect any company to take. I wish JaGEx would start to include mandatory sub-200/300/400/500 level worlds, meaning that all new players (read: gold farmers, advertisers, and bots) start there.

The F2P General Discussion Thread
If you don't gain experience in any member's skills, you should be fine. The thing most pure F2Per's should be concerned about are high level people pretending to be pure F2P while training F2P skills on P2P worlds. The reason being is the faster training advantages realized. At low levels (right after account creation), any advantage is minimal. Anyone else find that dungeoneering with leeches now incurs severe XP penalties? The irony.

The F2P General Discussion Thread
You have two options, both of which involve creating the character but not logging in right away. Create a new character then exit the game and do one of the following: 1 - reload and log in normally, then simply log into a free world. 2 - don't log in for two weeks while you wait for the trial to expire (but honestly, who could resist using a new character for two weeks? :P). As long as you don't log into a members world during the trial, you're generally still considered pure F2P. I don't think the first option works, as it forces you into creating your character, which will automatically log you into a random P2P world. :/ What I found worked, however, was to log into your account on the main RS website, then change your e-mail from there. When you activate the new e-mail, it automatically activates the P2P trial and will let you log in to lobby as usual. From there, you may log into a F2P world. If you don't gain any experience in the P2P world, especially in P2P skills, I don't think it matters.

Economics: more or less government intervention?
In a free market, if there's money to be made making quality products / backwards compatible products / longer life products, those will be produced. If there isn't money to be made, in an "economic" sense, that is not a failure of the free market.

Anyone (previously) level 90 or above try dungeoneering recently? Wondering if the level penalty was lifted or reduced. Just got ~8.6k xp on a small floor 20 with 35 prestige (my combat level is 155, 99 str / 54 def).
