  1. Thanks very much : Hehehe, I'm already insane, but you should have seen me when I became unmuted. Soooo the guide has FINALLY been updated to accommodate the needs of todays muted people! I hope it helps!
  2. I like the idea. Honestly, there are many items in the game, but the fact of the matter is that you just can't be unique enough with them. A rune plate is a rune plate. Thats why I have always endorsed the whole custom armor and weapons idea, and that's also why I support this thread. Buuuut, I do think that the effects of gems on armor and weaponry should be spread out more, NOT "dumbed down". What I mean is that new gems would have to be introduced as to give each one only ONE effect, instead of (for example) having an emerald-imbued piece of armor giving all of the protection it has against the elements. That is overpowered, because just that one gem is doing so many things. To be fair something like. oh, i don't know, amber could be introduced, in order to do something like protect from the desert heat.
  3. I split up my bank into: -Food, drinks and cooking supplies. Also put all my allotment and fruit seeds in here. -Herbs and potions. Also along with all my herb seeds. -Melee gear. Pretty much just all my armor and weapons. -Magic gear and related items. Robes that I have, all my staffs, runes, talismans, and rune ess. -Ranged gear. Bows, arrows, throwing knifes and dhide armor. -Other worn items/outfits. Basically just everything I like to wear when I'm not in combat. -Skill related items. Tools for mining, fletching, farming, fishing, firemaking, crafing and woodcut. There's a few gems, ores and logs... Also where I keep my money. I keep 'other' items in the view all box. Like quest items and less frequently used things.
  4. Yep, that would be pretty nice... just for parties.
  5. Ardougne - I used to read it really quickly, so I would sometimes mix up the d and r and pronounce it " add-rouge". Now I say "arr-doonge" Karamja - At times I'll revert to spanish and say "karam-ha". But most of the time I'll pronounce it how it's spelt. Neitiznot - "Nee-it's-not" Phasmatys - "Fasmat-ees" Pollnivneach - "Poll-niv-neech"... or "poy-niv-neech" Tai Bwo Wannai - "Tie-bo-wanee" Tirannwn - "Tira-newn" This one is awkward to pronounce. Trollweiss - "Troll-wise" The ones I didn't list I just really pronounce them how they are spelt.
  6. I'd just train in all of the best spots that are always crowded... get my combat maxed in no time. :D But really, I think a world all to myself would be boring. I like a strong community. It's just too bad there are so many rude and arrogant people around these days.
  7. I'm still thinking that the whole GE trap door isn't alluding to anything... but then again we probably would have heard a Jmod say so in order to save us the time of speculating over nothing. What I'm very anxious for is the continuation of the Temple Knights series, and the arrival of Kudos Island (it doesn't take that long to build a boat!). What I'm sure everyone would love is if they started developing 'The East'. I want to leave this land and explore something new... NO KNOWLEDGE BASE GUIDES. :P
  8. Finalmente... It's about time the bank organization tools came around... I'd expect to see it tomorrow, on tuesday, seeing how it's already the 7th. (Knock on wood) The initial organization process will probably be a chore though. :P
  9. My friend I like how strong willed you are, but don't let it create close mindedness. You may see it as rationality the way you're viewing what I came up with earlier, and I know it's not a rational idea compared to the others that you yourself have offered. BUT, everything is worth discussing and exploring, no matter how impractical it may seem, because that topic's cultivation will create a learning experience. I'm trying to get across my own thoughts on solving the "price crisis". I believe one angle is attacking the problem at it's root, which is the GE.
  10. See, I don't understand why people get so infuriated just about ideas... try having a chat about philosophy with me some time. Anyway, I didn't say we should do that, I said it would be a way to fix the current state of things. So, lets see somebody else come up with more ideas.
  11. Well then I'd like to see everyone compiling and comparing as many solutions as possible. I don't care how much loss they'd come with, I just want to hear them.
  12. Thats why doing something like that is an important decision. We have no idea why jagex hasn't fixed the prices yet, or if they even intend to. Thats why I'm only prospecting the idea. It would also be hard to call into action enough people to use the GE in order to fix the prices. It's possible though.
  13. Again, it would probably mean the repair of these broken prices, if indeed the priced are based on the supply and demand record of the GE. The controversy with that I believe is whether or not doing so would be worth the money loss. We do want the prices to be fixed...
  14. A possible solution I've been speculating lately is based on theory, but only because there are details that I need confirmed... if I'm right though, this might work: Ok, so if the set prices are determined by the buying and selling record on the GE, then it's obvious why some items are broken the way they are. Nobody wants to buy them on the GE, so that makes the demand low. This keeps those items at the low price. Sooo, if people swallow their pride and start buying and selling those items again on the GE, then that would balance out the supply and demand until the prices fixed themselves do to the active trading record on the GE. I think...
  15. I'm still convinced that what we have here is blatant negligence on Jagex's part; there's been plenty of rants on the RSOF's. There really is no economic harm in trading like this, because it's only trying to get around what harm has already been done (broken prices). This doesn't have to be agreed upon, but it's been established. With all that said, the issue for most players lies in the convenience of junk trading, because obviously it's easier to pay the right price with the cash you have, than to round up the junk... and that's not to say people should accept the priced set down by the GE, but just that the priced need a fix.
  16. I ran into a similar deal with that same item. It definitely isn't novelty.
  17. And that brings me back to my original points... is it really worth it because of the hard work it takes to gather all of that junk? But you are completely right. There is an artificial scarcity. Junk trading could help to fix that... but only if everyone accepted it.
  18. I believe that the only thing that makes a junk trade iffy is whether on not you will be able to use that junk again in another trade. I mean... if it's junk than it's junk, and you could use it again, but the question is will you have the opportunity.
  19. The same thing also applies to people theories that free chat will be removed... but thats a story for another time. Junk trading has no ill effects, imo.
  20. This is totally irrational thinking... you're pretty much saying that big game content updates are just conspiracies meant to "cover up" for other "mistakes". Have you forgotten how long an update like summoning spends in development? Much longer than the changes made on December 10th took to develop. Not only that, but they couldn't have predicted 100% what player reactions were going to be to those changes. So... how would they have known what to "cover up" with? You are completely missing the point of updates like summoning. They are meant to add to the game, giving player more to do and something else to be interested in... not to make up for negative releases. Sorry, but your freakin' crazy...
  21. Lol, if Jagex got tired of eliminating junk values, they certainly wouldn't eliminate player to player trading. That would be the worst business move they could make... because literally everyone trades. You see, the December 10th updates eliminated various game features for a reason; destroying RWT'ing. That was a situation threatening the game. Jagex had probably anticipated the amount of people who would quit too, which was very small, because pker's made up a minority in Runescape. Even those who did pk were not necessarily "full time pkers". So, with the past taken into account, junk trading doesn't threaten the game like RWT'ing did. Not by any-means are they comparable in that respect. And it's not a viable way to continue RWT'ing either. Basically it's just the player response to broken prices, and if Jagex gets sick of eliminating junk values, they will fix the prices.
  22. Well.... double the money depending on what you're selling. If you're looking to make more, than certain items will get you there, but require junk trading.
  23. Well said. But remember, the not every price on the GE is out of whack. I'd say there is balance between it and junk trading, with junk trading weighing more on the economy. Oh, and we should all agree on an official abbreviation for junk trading. How about "jt'ing"?
  24. Well, I don't think that time is gone, necessarily. Perhaps it's going to take a period of avid junk trading to get it through to Jagex what those prices should be.
