  1. When I was younger I had a hard time balancing play with RL, but it wasn't ever that hard for me. Being able to balance Runescape with real life is largely dependent on the way you play the game. If you are a skiller focused on getting several skills to 99, then you will be trying to play a lot and therefore your life is unbalanced. Personally, I don't play all too often these days. I do whenever there is a game update. Otherwise I am not focusing on skills, but instead just playing mini-games or partaking in a bit of combat/adventuring. :

Well, you can only loose your virginity once, really... Well it was at a dance. I was 14 I think. She was my first girlfriend ( ) and it just happened naturally.
  3. A democracy involves two or more political powers grinding against one another in an attempt to win votes. In ours and the US's democracy, that's safe because the Armed Forces are more-or-less independant from the government, let alone a political party. Pakistan is ruled by someone who until a month ago was your equivalent of a Commander-in-Chief. It is descending into civil war, and only the Taleban operating over the border in Afghanistan can benefit from this. I fear that we are going to hear the phrase 'Civil War' more often in the future if this really gets out of hand. President Bush and PM Brown have strategically blamed extremists, because blaming Musharraf will end up in a diplomatic dispute. However, that doesn't rule out the opinion that he may have had a hand in the attacks. If it turns out he has had a hand in this, we will certainly be hearing 'Civil War' in the future. All Pakistan needs to be thrown into a civil war is for the pro-democratic people to take up arms against Musharraf and/or the extremists. If you want my honest opinion on South Asia/Middle East in general, that whole region needs to be thrown into revolution. Pakistan could prove to be the birthplace of a democratic republican Middle East, just as Russia proved to be the birthplace of Sovietism. This idea by the Allies that these countries can honestly tranform their governments from tyrannical fundamentalist dictatorships to liberal democracies without a revolution of some sort is completely ignorant to what our own histories teach on the matter. We had to have a war that lasted decades before we installed a Parliament. America had to fight for its independance. As did France to overthrow its monarchy. Wherever there is a change of government, a revolution has to precede. Bush needs to get it into his head that until that happens, the Middle East will continue to be split down the centre in political instability. Hence why our actions in Iraq and Afghanistan have not helped this situation in the slightest. I see what you are saying. If at least Pakistan were to go through a revolution and achieve in the end a form of democracy (even a democratic-communist state would be good at this point), other nations of that region which are not being ruled by a de facto leader with a powerful regime might take after the example. After America gained it's Independence from Britain and established the constitution, many other nations have modeled their constitutions after the same thing. As for President Bush's realization of this and what you said, I don't think anything is getting through to him. Bush has is own interests in the Middle East, and whether they be political or imperialistic, I care not, because he has run America into the ground enough already (doing damage which will take decades to undo). All I care about is the day his term ends.
  4. The cracking sound is not always from gas. It is either from the contact and rubbing of bones and cartilage, but also from putting small cracks in your bones. Of course, a crack sounds harmful, but the cracks are filled in with fluid and repaired fairly quickly. So, no, it is not harmful.

  6. Yeah, I love what you said... "Bounty hunter is just a way for clans to come together and kill people one by one". Well that's the point. More importantly, that was the point of the old wilderness also.
  7. Yeah, they are scary. Too bad that don't have any great drops... :(
  8. If you were told that you were wrong for trusting her, then that person is wrong. You should be able to trust somebody who you have been friends with for that long, but sometimes it takes longer then that. After all, a true friend sticks around forever. I have several friends in the game who I have never met IRL, but we have been tight for years. You will know when you can trust somebody in enough time. Be more cautious though, as some people will target the well-to-do and gain their trust to the point where they can lend items.
  9. Hey, the world is full of bias. No reason to get upset about it. I use several fansites. Zybez and Runehq for info that isn't on Tip.it yet, but I use Tip.it for everything else, plus I enjoy the community.
  10. I go through the brothers in the oder of: Dharok - Prayer w/ magic dart Ahrim - No prayer w/ magic short and steel arrows Verac - No prayer w/ magic dart Torag - No prayer w/ melee Guthans - No prayer w/ magic dart Karil - Might use prayer w/ melee (at the chest)
  11. I completely agree with that. Granted, many of those players who come from miniclip tend to be less mature because that website is targeted at younger age groups, but all the same, you can't keep Runescape from anyone as long as it is on the internet.
  12. The Pakistani government is confused. Musharraf condemns extremists yet he pushes away the solution that is democracy. All in all, without Bhutto, a governmental reform will be hard to achieve unless everyone in power cooperates.
  13. Thanks :P I went through all of those... lol..

I have met people and I have friends from all over the world; Britain, Australia, all over America, Canada, and Mexico. Everyone I know is nice... And they don't fit any of these stereotypes. The reason why people tend to believe stereotypes can be compared to when you meet somebody for the first time. That person's first impression matter the most because as soon as they walk away, we pick out and remember all of the bad things about them. And, honestly, I don't get the whole "Americans are fat, gun toating ignoramuses" thing. That country wouldn't be a world superpower if this was true.
  16. Note that I give Jagex Ldt. full rights to take, alter and implement any concepts mentioned here. "A rose is a rose is a rose." Have you ever heard someone say that before? It is a famous quote from the equally famous American Writer, Gertrude Stein. It means that, well, a rose is a rose. Nothing can change that. It is what it is. A dragon long is a dragon long is a dragon long. Here we have the same meaning, but with a dragon long-sword. It is what it is, but there is something we can do to change that. Runescape, being a multiplayer game, has plenty of personality. However, being a game, there lacks a certain amount of individualism because after all, a rune plate is a rune plate is a rune plate. Where can we apply more individualism in this game? Well there is a lot of combat, so let's start there! Customize your killing-machines! We see people walking around with the same weapons. We all want a little something to distinguish ourselves from the rest of them, so that is why a customizable weapon option would be perfect if implemented in the game. A system in which you take a weapon, and totally redesign it to fit your personality. With this concept, you can take one of the following kinds of weapons to the master smithy, Thurgo. - Swords --- up to dragon - Long swords --- up to dragon - 2 handed swords --- up to dragon - Battle Axes --- up to dragon - Daggers --- up to dragon Select your weapon. Take it to Thurgo and he will give you the option to customize your weapon. Choosing this will initiate a screen with all of your customizable options. Here is a quick example of what it would look like. Here I have a centerpiece with what you are designing. To design you pick a shape to draw with, or the free draw tool. You must complete a design for the handle, hilt (the hand guard), and the blade. For the battle ax, which has different parts, you will need to design the handle, shaft, and ax You will then have a choice of color for each component. I was thinking a realistic steel color, almost like silver, a pale blue, a pale green, and a pale red. The reason why these colors are opaque is so they are not confused with the already existing weapons of the correlating color. (Ie: dragon weapons are already red.) Of course the actual in-game implication would be much more in depth, but you get the drift, no? You will have a good amount of freedom in designing the components of your weapon, but there are still limitations. Certain shapes will not be possible to produce if they are too close to resembling an already existing weapon, or if they shapes created are too wild. Once you have completed building your new weapon, Thurgo will build it for you, in exchange for your original, and a small price... For bronze/iron weapons - 500 gp Steel/black weapons - 1000 gp Mithrill weapons - 2000 gp Addy weapons - 5000 gp Rune weapons - 10000 gp Dragon weapons - 20000 gp As far as the stats of the end result, they will be the same as the original weapon. Of course, your own customized weapon cannot be traded. It can, however be traded back. to Thurgo for the weapon that it originally was. That̢̢̮ââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Å¾Ã¢s it! Please, share you ideas, suggestions and opinions. Tell me if you think this needs more, or if you have any additives to improve the concept.
  17. If you can't appreciate the new updates, then I am sorry. I am sorry that you can't see it for the greatness that it truly is. You all wanted to rid runescape of RTW's, and you got it. All great feats come with sacrifice. But you don't have to sacrifice playing the game just because you can't pk ( :boohoo: ). Learn to adapt. There are thousands of other things to do. However, the trade cap needs to be raised to at least 100k. 3K is ridiculous, really.
  18. Agreed. But it is not over, because most of the players are still going to stand by, however hypocritical they may be.
  19. the way the players are reacting is ridiculous. Just like a lot of children... If you can't see the good in this then you maybe should quit. But anyone can quit. It takes an intelligent person to adapt.
  20. You think they are lazy over there? The simple sentence "jagex has been too lazy" shows true ignorance. For god's sake, they just released two new minigames, a massive trade system and alternative to player owned shops, created a way for players to assist others with their own skill levels, and made a way to make millions of gp from nothing but a simple competition. In addition to offering players of all interests all kinds of fun, these updates put a stop to RWT's and macros alike. Runescape, f2p and p2p, is free of both of these heavy burdens. Maybe if the majority of players out there weren't so busy complaining about these updates, they could be shaken out of their selfish, diluted and ignorant worlds. Take some time to read every part of every update in the RS news section, and then you will have some real insight to give on the situation. Before you start ranting about how things should be changed back, you need to know what has already been done. In essence, all of the same actions you could previously preform have had nothing done to them except for being translated into new ways of performing them. Pkers can still pk, clans can still wage war, and without losing items. The only thing you cant do is RWT and auto. That is a good thing. So look at the advantages, everybody, because they outweigh the disadvantages by far.
  21. This is absolutely amazing. No more RTW's and their army of bots. The war is over. I am so grateful. As for all of the ranters and rioters... Get over it... You fail to see the greatness of this update.
  22. I just hope that the next one is a bit later in the day, because I just barely made it.
  23. Well that was amazing, a siege of epic proportions!
  24. Thats ok, I trust that the contestants will have enough honor to play fairly. And I don't think there's much to be confused about. It's just running back and forth for kegs.
  25. I suppose I can delete the story bit of it.
