  1. I don't really get how anyone could fall for this. It's kinda common sense to realize that Tip.it mods aren't going to waste time sending a PM to every user. If there was a poll, there would most likely be a sticky announcing it, and there most certainly would never be a threat of banning for people who don't vote.
  2. lulz what ever happened to the good old days when scammers stood in the varrock bank basement convincing people that if they typed their password and then pressed alt+f4 then the bank vault would open?
  3. well they can't very well jump straight to hard requirements. I think if they step it up incrementally it could be alright. As for the DD, meh. I don't see why they bother doing one with a quest really. They can't give much information without giving away the storyline and secrets behind the quest. I would really like to see one on Mobilizing armies. We've been witing for that damn minigame for what seems like a lifetime. The could do one for bounty hunter while they're at it.
  4. I think we should ease up on the criticism. The carrot , although useless, looks like a war club whic would be pretty badass for dressing up. Then add to that the awesome april fools event that just ended. Seems to me we don't have much to complain about.
  5. Thanks bob. The troll thing was originally from another forum thing actually... I was reminded of this by that one persons comment, but it wasn't the first time i put this... Oh, and the anagram thing... I was just bored and decided to do something, then almost ran out of time so made it simple. I don't consider this a clever way to introduce yourself to a new forum, but... Oh well! :D Lets just bury the hatchet now and stop dwindling on the past... see y'all later! Happy Easter! lulz dwindling on the past? pretty sure you're looking for dwelling.
  6. about time, off to do it now
  7. Your speculation is suspiciously specific! I also "suspect" it'll involve broken machinery and implings... :-# did you mean hares? because a hare is similar to a rabbit, and an heir is like a prince.
  8. Yeh, I'm pretty brutal on the forums. No, I didn't mean from the off-topic arguing, I meant from the whole thread. It's decoded. Nothing left. Figured out. Let's all sit quietly until MMG throws us another crumb. Oh, I knew what you meant, I was just agreeing that I'm an [wagon].
  9. yeh there's certainly no cabbage belt, although I really think it's about time Jagex released a belt slot. My pants have been falling down for years. I think maybe I'll try writing in to the postbag.
  10. Yeh, I'm pretty brutal on the forums.
  11. ok whatever you're trying to do, stop it. Replacing words with anagrams is just annoying. also, no one wants your cookies. they're probably hard anyway. First of all, I was bored and decided to write in an anagram to make it interesting. You seemed to figure it out, well done =D> ! Secondly, my cookies aren't hard! I have chocolate chip, brownie cookies, sugar, macadamian nut, and no bake chocolate cookies, all fresh from the oven! Don't have to be so mean about it! You never get this mad when the Chaos Elemental does it! Oh, and the below anagram is just my signature, you don't have to read it! :D You're not the chaos elemental. No one wants to try to decipher what the hell you're talking about. Especially for someone so new to the forums. Not that you're unwelcome, but if you're going to get quirky, at least establish yourself as having something to contribute first. There's an art to speaking in riddles, you can't just constantly anagram things. It's a mix of allusions, anagrams, acrostics, metaphors, and other language tools. So until you work for jagex and are able to give well written cryptic hints about future updates, don't try to get creative on your own, mmk? One thing to say to that... this forum will see what I have to contribute when I think they are a forum that I'm gonna be with for a while. We call those people Trolls. :twss: Either way, not everyone has the mental capacity to work out random anagrams every three words, and some people get annoyed trying. If you establish a reputation for yourself as being the annoying guy trying to be clever, well let's just say your welcome may be less than standard.
  12. I've done basically the same thing, twice in a row, while killing steels. I actually laughed the second time. It seems to me that when I get bored and decide to quit, Jagex releases a good update, I come back to try it, and end up playing again. I joined in late January '01, so that should tell you how good they've been at roping me back in. It's harder now that I'm over level 100 and don't have anymore quests to complete, or many new places to explore though.
  13. The biggest problem here is that a lot of our information is somewhat speculative. We get little tidbits in quests and such things, and people start rumors about what they mean, until eventually people don't realize it wasn't true. Then we end up with different sites having conflicting information, and yadda yadda yadda. It would be nice if Jagex set up the Knowledge base so that new sections unlock as you complete quests, miniquests, etc. That way we would have info directly from the source, rather than just what we've managed to piece together for ourselves. I would argue also that it's fun to speculate. It certainly is. It's difficult however, to make a comprehensive compilation of runescape lore and history, using speculative data. Bunny: I don't know of any evidence supporting Seren being created by Guthix, but I think it's pretty safe to say that Marimbo certainly did not create the Vyre.

  15. i can't find any cute little things to associate with passover. It's like "yay let's celebrate the day when god killed a bunch of innocent kids for no other reason than the leader of their people liked having slaves!(not there is any evidence of hebrew people ever being enslaved in egypt mind you) I'll bring the potato pancake things, you bring the unleavened bread." I'm not Jewish and I don't care about all that. I just want a little beanie to wear on my head. :twss: lulz, with a propeller?

  17. When it comes to the history of religion, Magzar has no idea what he's talking about (as has frequently been the case on other topics as well). But I humbly suggest that instead of allowing his ignorance to ignite a flame war, why don't we all drop this topic. It has nothing to do with Runescape. The internet is full of bulletin boards where the ignorant debate religion. I hope we can keep this one free of that. Um, ok then. Excuse me for bringing up a few facts. I invite you to disprove me since you think I'm ignorant. I wasn't trying to start a flame war though, and it seems to me you're the one who's calling names. So why don't you go do a little research, maybe bone up on the definition of ignorance, and leave the discussions to those of us capable of carrying one on? mmk?
  18. Read the following than Exodus 11:1 through 12:36 and Exodus 9:14, 16. p.s. im not religious hehe . just showing that "God" in fact did kill kids according to the muslims, christians and jews. Not only the firstborn children, but the firstborn of all the livestock as well. p.p.s. You might as well read the whole book of Exodus. Seeing as you are under the impression that certain events didn't happen due to lack of proof. and last but not least. Theres plenty of archaealogical evidence that the hebrews were enslaved for at least 80-100 years. They havent been digging up half of modern egypt for the past century without finding anything you know. :) Actually, he might as well read the whole old testament. There's plenty of senseless killing in the name of god in there. Anyway, do you have a source on the enslavement of the hebrews? I remember reading something saying they had never found anything to substantiate claims of hebrews enslaved in egypt. As far as historical accuracy goes, the bible reads like the national enquirer anyway though, so who knows. I mean the earliest accounts of the existence of Jesus was the book of matthew, written years after this death. The other gospels were written at least 70 years later. This was supposed to be during the time of the Romans, and we all know those silly bastards recorded everything.
  19. i think i'll stick with swiftkit thanks. all the tools i could need in one handy little client
  20. There is actually substantiating evidence to suppore the strange old man being a mahjarrat. If you read the story of the brothers in the Lores section, it talks about the starnger having lidless eyes, and using magic that sounds a lot like ancients. Couple that in with the fact that it's east of the salve, an area which zaros likely had a good deal of power in, and it's not unlikely that the strange old man is a mahjarrat waiting for the time to wake the brothers to serve their new master(which I suspect to be Zaros.) Here's my theory: Zaros foresaw the god wars and the banishment of the gods from the mortal plane. He also foresaw his betrayal. So, in order to prevent himself from being banished, or falling to the combined might of the other gods, he allowed Zamorak to defeat him. Unknown to Zamorak however, he didn't kill Zaros, merely drained him allowing him to descend from godhood until the time was right for him to rise again. Now comes the fun part. He Told his loyal Mahjarrat of his intent, and had them gather the forces he would need for his rise. So, there's the brothers, cursed by a mysterious mahjarrat. Then there's Arrav under the control of (not sure correct me if i'm wrong) Zemouregal. Lucien has raised an undead army and acquired both the stone of Jas and the staff of armadyl. So what if it's not for him to ascend into some psuedo godhood, what if he intends to use the staff as a conduit to direct the power of the stone into Zaros, thereby returning his fallen master to life and godhood. And to make things even better, Guthix is asleep, and all the other gods are unable to enter the mortal plane to fight him. Sneaky sneaky. Probably not true, but it would be one hell of a storyline.

  23. I'd say you're right. I don't see why people have any interest in the wise old man's telescope. No one ever mentions the random telescope on the balcony in varrock. Then people assume that since it's facing south it must be looking at the wizard's tower. has anyone here stopped to think maybe that telescope is a decoration, like the one in varrock, likely to be found in any study, anywhere. Stupid rumors from stupid ideas. -.- besides if the wise old man wanted to spy on somewhere he'd likely do it by magic. the telescope is probably just for stargazing. I'd say it's probably more associated with scopes in out POH, or the observatory.
  24. Look a few quick things, 1: Find a fansite for your native language(if your native language is english then for god sakes look into grammar lessons) 2: exploiting glitches, of any kind, in any way, regardless of the effort involved is against the rules 3: what you attempted to describe wasn't a glitch. There is no way to intentionally trigger a random event. Killing two minotaurs per minute for 15-17 minutes isn't going to necessarily cause a random even to occur. That's why they're called random events, you never know when they might happen. In fact you could just stand around chatting and get a random event. 4: If you find something you think may be a glitch(by glitch i mean something in the game happening that is not supposed to happen like clicking on a certain section of the map causing you to walk through a wall) then report it
  25. I think basically the chaos elemental is like one big information sink. Every thought or action in runescape ends up being absorbed into the chaos elemental's consciousness, but as it is a being of chaos, it can't separate then and they all get jumbled together.
