To be honest they kinda belong in the Images sticky anyway, I'm a bit surprised this hasn't been locked and redirected there.

15th May 2009 - Limited Edition Chosen Commander Hoodies
Yeah, cause they must have had their whole content team working on these sweatshirts :wall: I know their content team doesn't do merchandising. The point was I've been waiting for a nice, non pvp content update, and what do we get? Damn Development Diaries and hoodies. -.- You do realise these came out, like a month ago? *shrugs* The content team probably didn't even touch them so none of your precious update-time was wasted. Well aware the content team wouldn't be in on hoodies. I'm just saying, I want to see a new quest update on the front page, not "oh hey guys we made more hoodies for grungy metal heads and scene kids to wear, have fun."

14th May 2009 - Development Diary: Fairy Area Improvement
They said that the updates would likely come at different times though This is true but still they said this is to PREPARE the fairy area to look good BEFORE the new fairy quest. Ergo this update comes before the fairy quest conclusion, ergo questers shuld keep an eye on it because the quest will come after it and most probabl not to long after it. Um they said it could be several months after.... Either way, The fairy tale quests were boring for me. I'm not really looking forward to part 3.

15th May 2009 - Limited Edition Chosen Commander Hoodies
I don't wear hoodies anymore so no thanks. Plus it just screams scene kid trying to be cool by wearing grizzly images. On another note: WHY THE HELL ARE THEY RELEASING HOODIES INSTEAD OF CONTENT!!!!!!! I'm sorry but I'm pissed, I've been waiting almost a month to reup my membership when a new quest comes out. I just don't feel like doing the whole grinding away at skills thing so a new update that isn't pvp is what I've been waiting for. Now obviously I can't expect one for at least another 4 days. I really need something to do -.-

Advertisement Blocking
to be 100% honest, NO ONE clicks those damn ads. At least not on purpose. If you don't intend to click them anyway then there's really no point in having them on your screen. Adblock just keeps them from showing up on your screen anyway, it's not like it removes them from the coding of the site. It really only effects things in the sense that you don't see them anymore. I never play F2P so it really doesn't effect me either way. If I did, I would still run adblock. At least Jagex doesn't have those annoying commercial ads like you find on supernovatube and some other websites. Or the invisible audio ads that you can't stop.

14th May 2009 - Development Diary: Fairy Area Improvement
That's all well and good, but I've been waiting for almost a month for a new(non pvp) content update. I'd really like so see a new quest before the end of the week, otherwise it will probably be tuesday at least before I reup my membership. Sorry if it sounds whiny, but I'm a quester, and pvp minigames and info on future graphical updates just don't really do it for me. Ps. The are looks decent, but I think it looks far less magical in the screenshots than it does now. The should have gone for more of an organic look, and less of a manufactured one. For example, instead of houses made of planks, the houses should be formed by the trunks themselves, the openings of which being simple knotholes covered in living branches that would move if a faerie wanted to enter. Doors for a player to pass through could be a tangle of vines that would slip away to let the player pass through, rather than standard everyday wood and nails. To be honest I think it looks more like tree gnome construction than faerie magic. A further idea would be trees that were like giant toadstools, similar to the mushroom trees and saplings in Oblivion.

Chart comparing old and new RuneScape rules
This. There quite a few places other than amsterdam where smoking weed is legal. If discussing it is against the rules then they should also make discussion of any kind of smoking against the rules, as well as removing alcohol and all references to it from the game. 400,000 alcohol related deaths a year in the US alone, compared to none for weed speaks volumes.

What happened to Torstol?
16m x 320 = 5,120,000,000 16m x 3877 = 62,032,000,000 so you're telling me he spent over 5 billion on 16m torstol, then sold those 16m torstol at the correct price (being around 3877 currently) and made 134m? you're either an idiot who doesn't know how to do basic arithmetic, or a liar, or both Edit: and before you say "no he bought 16m worth of torstol not 16m torstols" 16m/320 = 50,000 50,000 x 3877 = 193,850,000 193,850,000 - 16,000,000 = 177,850,000 so the math still proves you wrong 13m of torstol=13 mil gp spent on torstol, duh....troll... Lulz you should learn to read. 13m is never even mentioned in the post. I calculated for 16m torstol, and for 16m worth of torstol. Nightshade, I meant to type he's not you're. My bad on that. In other news, I saw this thread while they were still low, and sent in a bug report, so I wasn't mad about anything. I just felt the need to prove a [cabbage] story was [cabbage] through the use of simple math.

But the story is probably just a big lie. What nitwit would buy them that low and then turn around and sell them right back before they were fixed? It doesn't make any sense. No matter how you work it out, unless he bought the torstol, and then sold them for 8gp more each than he bought them, he mathematically can not have made 134m off of them.

What happened to Torstol?
If it's a bug, it will be impossible to buy them. If you're able to buy them, it is not a bug. an item can't drop 90% in one day and jagex wouldn't lower clean torstol, and leave everything else exactly the same, it makes no sense It's obviously a bug of some sort, and your theory is only correct if you assume that no one put torstol on the g.e. today without noticing the bottomed out prices
-
What happened to Torstol?
Yes, I've held onto my herbs - sold my seeds right away though (which are still at a sensible price). Edit: Where would be the best place to report said bug? Looking at the Bug Reporting section on RuneScape.com, there doesn't seem to be any section for or any mention of incorrect GE prices (if we can safely assume this was unintentional). :wall: There's a board for it on the RSOF i think other than that just go to other- and then miscellaneous while i don't condone bug abuse, if you happen to be buying torstol for zammy brews, now might be the time to do so

Price Manipulation
What's the difference? Simply the volume of people doing it to one item? A merchant uses price trends to try to predict when an item will be worth its lowest, which is when they buy it, and then its highest, at which time they sell making a profit. A manipulator ignores price trends and buys all of an item they possibly can, granting themselves a monopoly, and driving up the prices of an item due to the greatly reduced supply. When the price rises to a level they're happy with they dump all their items for the highest price they can. A merchant tries to predict trends A manipulator creates their own hope that clears things up
-
What happened to Torstol?
that's over a 90% decrease in one day there's nothing that could have caused that normally I think it's a glitch of some sort I would report it and then wait before selling your torstol There's no reason they would have left grimy alone and made clean plummet

Ah... Pking
or, you know, just fight to win and ignore whatever the other person thinks doesn't matter what they think if they're dead, hell if they run because you're "safing" just whip out a ranged weapon, or shoot off an ensnare and go to town. The best part about them running away is that they can't fight back

YOU vs. Mediocrity
Lies. http://dictionary.reference.com/browse/mediocracy True, mediocrity would be the better word to use here, but for pity's sake look up words before you say they don't exist. -.- And if you're going to complain about words not existing while completely failing to contribute to the topic, at least have the decency to use proper grammar while doing it. Too much studying for finals, it's making me tetchy. Mediocracy is an invented word coined to describe a mediocre system of government. There are plenty of "words" like it in the dictionary, but they're still just made up terms.(Type it in and watch the squiggly red line appear) I could make up the term borocracy(boring + -ocrasy) and if i used it enough and get it spreading it would end up in the dictionary. That still wouldn't make it a real word. A good example is Melange. It's a made up medicine, from a book, and it's in the dictionary. My grammar was fine by the way, I simply left out the noun.

101 Suggestions, #19 (again), #20, and #21.
to expand on your charm belt idea, how about belts in general? Perhaps with an attached money pouch, or a clip for your keyring(i hate forgetting that damnable thing), or a number of other handy tidbits? I've wondered for awhile why RS is pretty much the only MMORPG of it's kind without a belt slot.

YOU vs. Mediocrity
sorry to troll but mediocracy isn't a word it's mediocrity just thought i would let you know

Thammaron, a Mahjarrat?
It's entirely possible that he simply didn't know what exactly thammaron was. The demon may have taken some other form, or some such thing.

History and possible future of the Elves (theory)
Good theory, I disagree with the elf line being one of the most interesting however. I would rank the mahjarrat, slug, and dwarven above the elven. Possibly even a couple others which evade my mind at the moment. The elven line was just a bit boring to me.

Mysteries of the Mahjarrat [WARNING: MAY CONTAIN SPOILERS]
Zamorak did use the stone to become a god,Saradomin didn't. He only used it as a powerful tool for himself. its mentioned in WGS thth both zammy and sara used it to become a god Zamorak used the staff, not the stone. In Movario's notes, Movario speculates that the staff itself is not powerful enough to grant godhood by itself, and that Zamorak may have had an additional source of power. It does not say that Zamorak used the stone definitely, and Movario doesn't seem to have the details concerning the moutal impaling and power transfer that happened when Zamorak faced Zaros. Also It doesn't say Saradomin used it to become a God either. There is the cutscene where man touches it which has been speculated to be saradomin, but that is not concrete. There are references to Saradomin using the stone, but not to attain godhood. Stop quoting speculation as fact, it confuses people. The main in the count scene is confirmed to be the fremmnik who learnt magic and brought it to our world via making the luanr tribe and then creating runes. And its not in movaros notes its during quest dialogue there is clear references to both zamorak and saradomin using the stone to obtain godhood. Its during the last dialogue with Lucien if I recall correctly he pretty much outright says zammy used the stone and staff to become a god and refers to saradomin in the same flow of speech tht directly implicates saradomin having done much the same. It is NOT speculation it is fact Zammy used the stone and staff to become a god. It is also 75% certain saradomin used the stone to become a god, whihc equally explains why he had possession of it for a long time and it became known as the Eye of Saradomin. Funny I don't remember that, Could you show a direct quote for proof? and where precisely did the confirmation on the moonclan founder come from?
