wilderness ditch
This. Besides, honestly you have to click to pass obstacles to get almost anywhere in runescape. -Doors -stairs -caves -gates -Multiple clicks to charter boats -Agility shortcuts galore -The temple to get into morytania -traps the list goes on and on, what precisely is so wrong with having to click once to get into the wilderness? The point of this topic is that it was added when PvP was still in the wildy. Since they removed the PvP in the wildy logic would dictate you remove the PvP protection. Which brought rise to the rev discussion. The question isn't should there really be the click to get over the border. Its why not revert back to the old method or get rid of it completely? The older method like a few people have stated was a once per login message which took most of the screen saying your about to go into the wild etc. I'm not sure if you ever used the wildy pre-ditch (by the sounds of it a lot of people either didn't or have forgotten), but it caused a lot of issues, but was to a degree understandable. Now its just a lost piece of history from RS's true PK'ing days which isn't really needed anymore. What would be the point of wasting time changing not only the coding, but the graphics as well to get rid of it? Is one click really such a big deal that people are demanding its removal? To be honest it's a much better marker for the boundaries of the wilderness than any previous method. There's no real reason to remove it. So why does it matter if it's not needed anymore? I mean, hell, there are a lot of things in runescape that aren't needed anymore, should we remove all of them as well?

ComicScape
When doing dialogue in a comic strip, it always goes from top/left to bottom/right throwing the words around randomly makes it difficult and annoying to try to read. also that wasn't funny

Oh my? Sailing with submarines?
My guess is it will be out this week. Considering the chaos elemental called it "red raktuber" Raktuber ended on the 23rd, so it may already be behind schedule.

Trolls, Jerks and 'Noobs' on RuneScape.
Hey, that girl is almost really pretty. Her nose kinda ruins it though. She also seems to repeat herself a lot, which makes for an incredibly boring video. The "special effects" made me chuckle. Anyway I'm reminded of a story from awhile back. It's a conversation between me and someone at green dragons. So we're killing dragons tra-la-la. Me and this other guy decide to hog the dragons because another kid is just being a total pest. So we start beating him to the spawns. We'll call him pest, and the other guy accomplice mmk? Pest: Noobs Accomplice: lol Pests: You guys are nerds. You should go out and make something of yourselves. Me: Did your mom teach you that? Pest: ... Pest: My mom is dead Me: Oh Me: Well I guess she never made anything of herself then. Pest: ... Pest logs out Accomplice: lol Then we go back to merrily killing dragons. They see me trollin, they hatin... Moderatin and tryna catch me postin dirtay

The new slayer monster.
Yeah. We've got Armadyl for Ranged, Bandos for Melee, but nothing in that class for Magic. Magic Armour would be good. Doesb't need to be in that price range, but atleast in that quality range. Unfortunately, Bandos, and Armadyll is god armour, which would not become available from a level 114 monster requiring 78 Slayer. I just wish it would come out already, having 79 slayer is boooooring, too low for any of the really good tasks.

what part of that is a good idea?

Lulz you silly silly people. The "sea monster" mentioned in the postbag was one of the penguin submarines. They saw the periscope. I thought this was beyond obvious.

wilderness ditch
Because there are revenants in the wilderness which would likely reduce a new player into a pile of moldering bones. It's still one of the most dangerous areas in runescape for an inexperienced, or unprepared player. Ankous are dangerous for new players. Lesser demons are dangerous for new players. It's made very clear. There is a warning message. There are warning signs. There are guides on the runescape website. If all of this fails, if a higher level player sees a new player approaching the wilderness, he might warn them. Even if that player in question dies, he has a minute to get his very low value armor that he can probably earn back in 10 minutes, anyway. At some point, risk is just a part of the game. It's not unfair, it's not blindsiding a new player. I don't see the big [bleep]ing deal. I think it's kinda an aesthetic thing. Like a first like of defense against the monsters in the wilderness. In olden times large ditches were often dug around villages as a way to slow down attacking enemies either on foot or horseback, and would provide more time for archers to pick them apart. There are obstacles to getting to new areas everywhere you go in runescape, why should the wilderness be any differen?

The Gods Of Runescape
With the new postbag comes confirmation on a couple things. 1. Armadyl is the god of justice. \ Woot I was right. \ 2. Zamorak's armies, even under siege by the other gods, wiped out virtually all of Armadyl's Aviantese. This pretty much shows that were the armies of Zamorak and the armies of Armadyl to face each other 1-on-1, Zamorak would come out victorious. 3. The Vampyre are NOT followers of Zamorak, as was previously thought. They are indeed a Godless race. Interesting.

dwarves generally hate water, which oddly doesn't seem to be the case in runescape however.....oddities upon oddities

Macroers getting rebanned
Lol @ comparing a game to criminal trials Wasn't that also the basis of a TV movie? I can't remember the name. It was a real movie. Double Jeopardy, with Tommy Lee Jones and whatnot.

27th May - Dungeon maps and spam filter
I hate to be nit-picky but doesn't that 0 look slightly off centered? I may be wrong but it looks so to me. If it is, blame Jagex. The only thing I edited on there is the transparent blue color around the shield. If Jagex removed red barring, people would rant about it not being there anymore. Since they kept it added, people rant about it being there. #-o i think some people just get their jollies by complaining about anything and everything *ahem* me_hate_libs *ahem*

i can't believe people are actually complaining that the hp bar is no longer a boring [wagon], monochromatic rectangle. I agree that the new one would be better without the black outline though. It's a bit to in your face for my liking.

The Jagex Mentality
How is this not a rant? Besides you don't know how difficult it would be to implement something like laying down. Why go through all the effort to implement an insignificant graphical change to the game if it's going to take more effort than it's worth? Exactly, what would the point of spending time working out clothing glitches just to make the character lie down, when it would be easier to just have them sit? Do you want to lay down so badly that you would rather they waste time that could be spent working on exciting new updates, just so you can lie down instead of sitting? It's not laziness, it's common sense. If a problem can be solved in multiple ways, and neither will affect the ultimate outcome, then the easiest method will always be the right one.

The Gods Of Runescape
sorry, but stop bloody saying pureness the word is purity. I don't even have a clue why you would see Armadyl as a God of purity anyway. The followers of saradomin have puritanical views. The followers of Armadyl are more closely associated with justice. I suspect that Armadyl would be the god of the skies and of Justice, rather than purity.

Quests
When I was working on my quest cape, I did quests based on the requirements, difficulty, and reward. Now that I have it I generally do them to keep that cape. Also, I much prefer quests to skilling or training. For me a good RPG is all about having a mission. Which means doing new things, solving problems, fumbling through misadventures, figuring out challenging puzzles, killing the occasional big baddie and unlocking new and exciting game secrets furthering not only your character but the game as a whole. You can't really find those things when you're training or skilling. mean sure you can find Bosses at GWD or Dagg kings or other such things. You can solve puzzles in waterbirth dungeon, and the barrows, etc. You'll never find all those things together like you will in a good questline though. That's why quest haters are nub.
