  1. I highly doubt this one. It takes less than half an hour to walk across RuneScape East to West. Well you also have quest areas, high level areas, etc. Not just going from lumbridge to the fishing colony and back again. He said land-wise.... I'm sure that doesn't include underground areas. I assume he meant to walk the external edges of the map.
  2. The threat was pretty much dead until bunny bumped it. Anyway i doubt it was mogre hats, probably a hint towards a fishing update.
  3. Believe it or not, this statement is fairly accurate. The whole economy centered around PKing, because PKing is a thing called money drain. Skillers made products, Pkers bought them, used them, made some money, and bought more things from Skillers. It was a great balance. Just because you didn't (and still don't) Pk doesn't mean that it didn't effect your gameplay. I think you're part right and part wrong. Initially back in the RSC days your statement is totally true But before pking disappeared so many boss monsters etc emerged that the combat pure type player emerged and in the same way as a pker bought in alot of supplies. Pking, f2p pking is definitely a boost to things such as rune armour str ammys etc. But KQ, KBD, Corp beats, DK GWD etc have all stripped away or equalled the economic function old style pking had You're both wrong. I've been here since the beginning. Pking has always been one single aspect of runescape. It's never been the shining center everything else revolved around that you're making it out to be. Read the entire thread before you flame(ish) towards me if you did you'd note I already posted saying pk was not the centre of the game and just a single aspect. But is undenyable fact that most high end f2p gear leapt up in price and has mantained a higher vlaue since pking came bk due to a higher demand for it I wasn't flaming you, and i read the whole thread, just missed what you said before I guess. Anyway your last post made it seem more as if being able to PK better was what the rest of the game was for. That idea has never and will never be true. Walka stop trying to troll, you're not even good at it.
  4. I love how you continue to call me a troll even after a mod said the same [bleep]ing thing i did.
  5. Right, I understand that. I'm not sure what Compfreak was referencing in his post, and if its a different bug altogether, or just this current one (I'm looking for bugs that went undetected because people weren't idiots about it and did the correct procedure - find a bug, test it to see if it can be repeated, submit a bug report, continue playing without using the bug, all the while keeping their mouths shut). My mistake, I misread. There was a glitch awhile back that was letting people bring their summons into the Ge. I'm not sure how it was done either.
  6. So, what di that post have to do with the topic? None of those were bugs.... wab's posts that i've seen have tended to be pretty pointless. Anyway, I don't see how they're blowing it out of proportion at all. People used a fault in the system to gain a huge advantage over other players. It's cheating, and at the very least they should have every bit of the money they gained deleted and get a permanent mute. I personally think they should be banned. To the people who say it's Jagex's fault for letting a bug like this exist, you're just [bleep]ing imbeciles. It's impossible for jagex to test every singe possible combination of actions for glitches in the system before release. It is also impossible to program it completely free of glitches the first time. Any good programmer will tell you it's a process. You create the base code, and then you tweak it to work out the unintended bugs. Believe me with hundreds of thousands of players, it's much more likely for one of them to stumble across a glitch than one of jagex's QA team members. Edit: Sees, how it worked was people using a beast of burden deposited the maximum amount of money they could into it, then logged out and switched to a F2P pvp world and died repeatedly. the game treated it like the money in their familiar's inventory was being risked even though it wasn't. So they instantly gained a huge amount of potential. with that potential they go back to P2P and pk someone for spectacular drops.
  7. but i was right about not bumping old threads. Mod confirmed it. I can't really think of any little known factoids ~Deal threw pm, not threw this thread, dont make mod llock this one for spam and trolling yeh, I was really trying to think of a little known fact though how about edgeville used to be the ghost town? That was ages ago.

  9. No noob, they ruin things for people who just want to buy things for their day to day jobs. I don't give a [cabbage] about the price of Dragon plates, I give a [cabbage] about not being able to buy, for example, seeds because some [bleep] merch clan is buying them up. That has [bleep] all to do with GE graphs. They're [bleep] disgraceful and scummy, like these corrupt people in real life that screw up the economy for a few extra irl so called 'geepee's. How are they disgraceful and scummy? Allthough i dont particularily like them, i think your being too harsh. They want to earn some gp. Does it make them that bad because you have to wait another day or two to buy a seed? You are taking Runescape way to seriously. I don't like them either but are they really that bad? And you guys are overestimating the power of merchanting clans. Its not like they can do 20 different items at once. It's scummy because they knowingly damage the RS economy for their own profit. In real life the practice is illegal, and you can go to jail for it. And yeh there are enough of these clans to buy out a lot of items.

  11. I'm a bit of a packrat (my bank hasn't been below 450 in a very long time) so I don't have too much trouble with merch clans. I have had trouble buying a few things things that I've really needed though, like a rune piece for a clue scroll for example. Anyway, I think they're utterly despicable, and I don't understand why they're not getting banned. As far as I'm aware Jagex has said merchanting is fine, but manipulation is against the rules. I really wish they would start doing something about it. Or at least add it the reportable offenses.
  12. i hate ignorant statements like this. Pking is and always has been, one single aspect of runescape. People who think that it's ever been what runescape is all about infuriate me. fffffffffffffffffffffffffuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuu!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!111111 you realise you infuriate alot of people yourself, right? pking was, to alot of people, the only reason to play it, because they like the pvp aspect. its more challenging, dangerous and fun to most people. ALOT of people i knew only played to pk, and mainly trained ONLY with pking, because its all they liked to do. its those people who "infuriate" you, but they are only sad to have lost the only thing they liked in the game, and to many of them, bh and pvp worlds simply arent the same, and i agree with them. im guessing the Medead0 is one of those people aswell, and pking is what runescape used to be to him. tl;dr: your an [wagon], and hate people for liking the old pking I never said I had a problem with PKers, just PKers who think that that's all runescape is/was about. PKing is one small aspect of a hugely diverse game. What bothers me isn't that people's favorite activity might be to pk, it's that they consider the game to be ruined in some way because of the changes made to the PKing system. Like a few people have already said, a lot more people prefer doing things other than fighting other players, and those that were solely PKers are in the vast minority. I take pride in infuriating people by the way, it's quite enjoyable. they considered the game to be ruined, to them, because pking was the only thing they enjoyed, and as there is a right to free speech in most first world nations, they are allowed to express that. and if you really do enjoy infuriating people, your a useless troll and should be banned In case you hadn't noticed, I contributed to a discussion about PKing, by posting MY OPINION which as you just said, I have the freedom to express. Also it has been seconded by multiple people. Yet i'm the only one you seem to take offense towards. Sorry friend but you're either just trying to start a flame war with me or you're the one trolling.
  13. Besides that. Bad, because whenever theres an item I need, commonly armor/robes for slaying or to work on a skill, theres always some clan who causes the price to go so high, i pay x2 what its worth, and after im done using it all the price has dropped or finding the item itself is like a needle in a haystack. If im right theres a User here somewhere who's head of a, and I state this 100% from his signature, "Leader of [blah] Price Manipulators Clan". Each time I see him i feel like jumping through a monitor, finding him and slap him senseless with a school bag full of 5c coins. -.- try socks full of rocks

  15. pretty sure this belongs in questionaires. I have no comment on the skills though sorry, it's been too long since i played F2P.
  16. [hide] I'm not really sure why, but I have an instant like for you. I guess it's because you are apparently not [developmentally delayed] like everyone else I know. Your post made me smile even though you said my taste buds are perverted because I don't like tomatoes. [/hide] I agree for the most part, but a few things there are inaccurate and even wrong. First, you can't live off vegetables and fruits. You CAN do that physically, but it's not very healthy. The human body needs vitamins (most found in fruits, ofcourse, but some vitamins like the very important B12, and iron (iron is NOT a vitamin) comes from meat, and is very hard to obtain from other foods, which is why so many vegetarians are anemic), calcium (which comes purely from dairy products, and is absolutly necessary for your bones!), carbohydrate (there are some vegetables and fruits that give carbons such as corn, potatoes and rice, so that's not much of a problem there), salts, protein, and, believe it or not, fats. That's right, your body NEEDS fats. Obviously your body doesn't need much of it, but it needs it, especialy when eating dairy products (for the simple reason that for calcium to be affective, it has to be eaten along with fats). That being said, I must also say that if you really do eat only vegetables and fruits, you are probably not healthy, and should see a doctor. One more point I'd like to talk about is the lack of delicious food. I'd assume around 90%, or even more, of the dietitians in the world would even SUGGEST that you eat something tasty yet not so healthy atleast once a day. There's a very simple reason for that- Most people who go to dietitians, go because they're overweight and love eating tasty, delicious, unhealthy foods. Dietitians would like you to eat one bar of choclate every once in a while so that you won't tempt yourself to eat a whole cake. Whenever they suggest that kind of thing, they also say that you must promise not to eat more than you're allowed to. I really do hope that you were just exaggerating when you said you only eat fruits and vegetables, because as healthy as these may be, they're firmly not enough. Your body does need meat, dairy products and whatnot. A little saying, that goes very well with anything that has to do with nutrition- Too much of anything cannot do any good. Sorry it was mostly OT, and I hope you had a good read :). Edit: I forgot to mention exercise. It's true that the lack of exercise does not make you any more fat than you currently are, but: A. In order to lose fat you'd want to exercise, and a lot. B. The lack of exercise may not make you overweight, but it's absolutly, 100%, necessary for a healthy life. Especialy running, swimming, or any other exercise that works on your heart and lungs. Believe it or not but this would delay or even direct to none existent any chance you may have had to have a stroke or a heart attack. Ofcourse exercise is not enough for that, but it does a great deal of help. C. A muscular, well trained body, tends to become sick a lot less than an atrophied body. D. You must admit a 6 pack, muscular guy is hot :D :o , or that a thin girl with no extra fat is aswell. [/hide] Quite right. A diet of fruits and vegetables alone is not healthy at all. The best diet is a balanced one. Calcium from dairy is an absolute must, you also need the protein and iron provided by meat. There is a reason humans have canines and incisors, and that reason is we are omnivores. Sure you can take supplements for the things fruits and vegetables can't provide for you, but they're really no substitute for the real thing. There really is no supplement for fats(lipids) that i'm aware of, and yes you need those too. To say you don't need to exercise to be healthy is bloody ludicrous as well. If you eat constantly, but do nothing but sit on your [wagon] all day, regardless of what you eat, you are going to gain weight. Another important factor you fail to address is metabolism. Yours may be exceptionally fast, but that doesn't mean everyone's is. Metabolism plays a huge role in weight, someone with a slow metabolism could eat only moderately and exercise, and still gain weight.
  17. that was a rumor, it's not true. cookie monster still eats cookies, he just also eats fruits and vegetables.(to be honest he always did, I have a book from when i was little when he, bert, and ernie make a pot of soup and he gulps it all down.)
  18. i hate ignorant statements like this. Pking is and always has been, one single aspect of runescape. People who think that it's ever been what runescape is all about infuriate me. fffffffffffffffffffffffffuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuu!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!111111
  19. Stronghold of security, it's really only good for F2P though. P2P has better alternatives. btw yomy, I didn't make any spelling errors, which is what was funny.
  20. Quote and comment removed ~tripsis and on topic, I agree training slayer and strength together is the best way to go in order to save yourself a bunch of extra combat to train slayer in the future. by the way, it stands to reason that if he had been P2P, but was now F2P, he wouldn't bother to post his summoning level as it wouldn't make even the slightest bit of difference.
  21. Quote and comment removed ~tripsis tbh when i was your level i was killing lv 2 men in edge for clue scrolls.
  22. Don't they have Runescape giftcards in America? Yep you just go to target, or do what I do and use the pay by phone method. Then there's just some mysterious $6 charge on the phone bill.
  23. There are no long term F2Pers, they're all computer programs or zombies with their hands attached to a mouse, chained down and forced to play.
  24. ok just a few points. 1. There is no evidence that she is a parent herself. 2. The blog is satire, but it's not entirely a joke. It's meant to comically point out the horrible ramifications of playing runescape. 3. She is obviously a horrible writer who does little to no research into a subject before blogging about it. 4. Read a couple of her other blogs, especially the one about the 13 year old father for more evidence towards point 3. 5. Sorry guys, she really is just that stupid.(Although quite a few of you are too for not looking into the rest of her blog posts before posting. Come on the point is to be better than her.)
  25. i would thing of gf first
