  1. It's been possible for at least a year now. BD-R DL Read / Write : 6x max BD-R Read / Write : 6x max BD-RE DL Read / Write : 2x max BD-RE Read / Write : 2x max Blu-ray Disc Support : Read / Write (BD-R/-RE/-ROM)20 CD Support : Read / Write (CD/-R/-RW) DVD Support : Read / Write (DVD±R/±RW/±R DL/-RAM) This is what is on the Sony Vaio L.
  2. Not at all, building your own works out to be way less, really. Look at barebone kits from tigerdirect or newegg, they aren't that much. I'll give you an example, a sony Vaio L series desktop cost $1999.99 or 2k dollars, now look at these parts you buy for a stronger computer: http://www.tigerdirect.com/applications/SearchTools/item-details.asp?EdpNo=2782533&CatId=1909 http://www.tigerdirect.com/applications/SearchTools/item-details.asp?EdpNo=5659779&CatId=2459 http://www.tigerdirect.com/applications/SearchTools/item-details.asp?EdpNo=4111742&CatId=2306 http://www.tigerdirect.com/applications/SearchTools/item-details.asp?EdpNo=5471997&CatId=89 the custom PC costs $504.96, proving you wrong, the only thing it doesn't have that the Vaio does is 2 more GB or RAM and an OS, but OS is around $100 and RAM is around $50, so you see, custom PCs are over 9000 times better than bought ones that are built for you. EDIT: also OP try not to use the suggestion i used above, that was just something i threw together quick, and it might not have enough power to support all this. No, you can't even begin to make the comparison. 1. The L series is an all-in-one, which you cannot compare to towers+displays accurately. 2. I originally wrote that you were missing the CPU/MoBo, but then I saw it was bundled with the case. In any case, a Pentium 4 (which was ousted from the market years ago) is no comparison to an Intel Core 2 Quad @ 2.66 Ghz. 3. It's "bundled" with a display, which can cost 200+ (more if it's VA/IPS). Even then it's a multitouch screen. 4. You gave it a DVD/CD player when the Vaio has Blu-ray. 5. The GPU you listed is inferior to the Vaio's, depending on which model you look at. Go look at a standard model Dell or HP; you'll see that the difference is much less-sub $100.
  3. Brand name, I'm assuming it was Monster Cable. You don't have to order from here, but it is a good website that sets a nice price standard that you should aim for. Most short cables are under $10. You're looking for male to male and the metal used for the connection won't matter much, if at all
  4. You can contact any administrator regarding the issue.
  5. I use Steermouse to assign functions to different buttons for each application. For instance, in Safari my third button uses the command "⌘[" which goes back one page, but in Firefox I have it assigned to a function key which, in Runescape, switches to my inventory. Fifteen day trial, however. You could use Intellipoint, which controls Microsoft mice or the Logitech Control Center. Neither are as functional as Steermouse, but they are also free.
  6. Well that sucks <_< Might actually look into getting one of those anyway. Which do you think would work better? Wireles HDMI or the cable? Or something else. Oh HDMI for sure. That is, if your TV and computer both have the ports. Wireless HDMI/wireless USB/WiDi aren't anywhere near as good as a physical connection.
  7. Yeah, the ad is purposely misleading; you need a physical connection or Intel's Wireless Display/wireless HDMI which I doubt your computer has.
  8. Imagine if that had been on a slayer task. :o
  9. I find the wait time to be a bit more daunting. :\
  10. Near the ever-flagging war - Castle Wars, of course. :P

  12. I opened this topic and immediately began visualizing myself scratching a whale to death. :(
  13. You don't need an "unspam" to post on this thread. ;)
  14. Rex, just note that the MultiQuote button addresses multiple people, but without the double post. ;)
  15. http://forum.tip.it/topic/254632-daily-activities/ ~800k (plus a lot of experience!) in under forty minutes. :)

Updated: *A more efficient route to the Monastery. *The addition of mithril seeds. Thank you demonsnake8. :)
  17. If you're just training slayer, then no, dragon claws are not worth the price.
  18. Where did you research this? If it was on TIF, what was the post date? That was the case a while back (one or two years ago) but they were promptly fixed to their usual respawn times.
  19. You can post your drops, results, and techniques here. :)
  20. Many users already share their early days in the thread you mentioned, so feel free to share over there. ;)
  21. How about a new subject, guys? ;)
  22. I will definitely be buying one for Castle Wars. Only -3 magic defense compared to the master's wand, but the special would come in handy during runs to the enemy's base.
  23. Only if you buy the ingredients yourself. You can always farm snapdragons for herblore experience and profit (should your harvest be greater than 30 herbs you pull a profit, even by making super restores). It's a bit slower, but I got 72-78 in about a week through farming. When weapon poison was being manipulated, I would collect the blue dragon scales to lower the price to about 8gp/exp.
  24. 20000000gp/22.3gp/exp = ~900k exp, give or take. If you want the gp/exp, use the following formula: ((([herb]+[second]+[vial of water)-[finished potion])/[experience the completed potion gives]) You can then multiple it by the amount of experience you wish to reach, or divide it into the amount of money you are willing to spend. You could get farther by collecting the seconds yourself, but I still doubt that you could reach 96 with 20M (buying either seconds or herbs).
