The iPad
I have my doubts on that. The picture below accurately represents the underlying system architecture on the iPhone and is quite similar with OS X. If the iPad is in anyway similar, then it would be possible to listen to music while playing applications. You see in the picture a block labeled "Media." This is the layer that allows for audio and many visual codes such as Core Animation and Open GL. Because this layer is underneath the application, you are able to run it within the the application itself. Hence why the iPhone allows you to listen to music while browsing mobile Safari or playing games that take advantage of the technologies found in the layer. It's not considered multitasking to be able to do this because you're not really running two applications. What no multitasking means is that you cannot listen to a radio (AOL, Pandora, etc) while doodling around with Photoshop Mobile (whatever the application name is). You could, however, listen to music found in the iPod application while using Facebook.

The iPad
You can implement multitouch on practically any OS. Heck, you can put Windows 95 on the iPhone/iPod touch. But building the software with the hardware in mind is by far more efficient. Windows is arguably the most efficient OS on a desktop-based platform but the problem is that is wasn't built for mobile devices. Microsoft just added multi-touch features onto the OS and you can tell. This has been the subject of much discontent, even in Windows 7. I am curious about the graphics device powering this thing. It looks nice, but the iPhone has many of the same features so I can't see adding another device to my list. Certainly glad you can opt out of the 3G. I am also surprised at the IPS display, as I thought those were too thick for mobile use. No multitasking.

Small Computer Tips for RS
Laptops with integrated video cards can't support dual monitors, I thought? You positive about that? I don't have a laptop (a netbook at the very least would set me back 300 dollars, let alone a decent laptop) so I guess it doesn't really matter but that bit of info ran contrary to how I thought laptops worked. XD Unfortunately, I go to just a small commuter campus, and we're not big on psychology studies or medical trials. with laptops you can use your default laptop screen and an extra LCD monitor simultaneously. my old laptop is a absolute PoS with a terrible integrated graphics card and it could handle the 22" + default 15". granted, it did die after 2 years. if you wanna be really literal, you're only attaching 1 monitor. but effectively you have dual monitors function. If you laptop has an IGP (integrated graphics processor) and a video out port, your laptop can support an external monitor. Lower IGPs and GPUs might have difficulty playing at higher resolutions and in most cases, will not display the native resolution when it is above a certain point (the manufacturer lists it on the specs of your card). I have an Nvidia 9400M IGP and I can push out three displays.

Multi-coloured whips
[hide=] I agree. Colours matter only for those who like to be stylish and that's usually players who don't do combat. Original colour>new colours i say. Hope a better weapon than Whip will be released, that won't be slow and 2H. Well different colours of whip has been one of the most suggested and requested updates for years so why not put it in game and please a huge amount of people? As for new weapons hello? they added the Trident. Not a hugely awesome weapon but its ability to save mage runes is hopefully a step towards something we shall see more of, and its spec is pretty awesome. Correction. New weapons that actually serves a decent purpose, whether for high levels or low levels. The trident is just neither here nor there. The trident: +17 magic attack bonus? Great. +17 bonus but deny you of another magic boosting item, or a defence item at least, in the shield slot? Bad. No magic damage boost, not even 5%, if 10% seems overpowered, in addition to the above? Worse. A melee special attack for a magic staff that requires melee distance? Worst. Unless you consider training melee using a staff as a wonderful way to train. Mediocre rune saving ability, that's lousier than the FoG robes? Assuming that no one uses it for combat purposes, you'll be using it for skiller spells. I rather save water and/or earth runes constantly than use this. I thought the FoG experience with rune saving equipment would have been a good lesson. The FoG robes gets a shortened recharge time, but here comes a staff that would require fixing months after the update. Which reminds me that the BA improvements news can be summarised as whip colour variation + SC tool for a few more skills. [/hide]They can't bring in "decent" weapons every game. We have Godswords, Claws, Whips, and everything in between. There are repercussions for bringing in new items to the game, as seen with all of these. The whip obviously changed everything in Runescape-faster experience rates, harder and faster kills, etc. Just because a few users are bored with what is being offered currently does not mean we need new weapons.

Graphics Card or What?
Intel has released several dual-core processors apart from the C2D lineup. The 2.66 Pentium D is the lowest clocked in its series, but it still is a dual-core chip.

Fastest way to Oo'glog?
Just chime in here and say that's not quite true! I've got 96 Agility and I find myself occassionally down to 0% Run Energy whilst Graahk-Runecrafting. Not quite sure on the Abyss though, presumably the stand-still at obstacles will give more time to regenerate energy than Graahking. What are you carrying then? I rarely need energy (once, if not less per hour as the drain inevitably catches up with me) and I'm level 70 agility.

spirit trees
Doesnt the fairy ring do the exact same thing? It's right outside the ge and you run past the coal and maples as u come round the castle. Plus its less distance to run than the spirit tree. and you can go right bk again The spirit tree is inside the GE walls (unlike the rings) and I don't have to fetch a staff from the bank to use it. True but dont you have to fetch a pick or axe from the bank anyway when going to do MTK? With barbarian fishing techniques one does not require any equipment.

18 herbs from one patch. How rare is that? It was the second patch I visited, the first of which had died. That one patch accounted for almost half of the herbs that run, with the end totaling only 35. :(

Will 2010 continue to be a year of tweaks with little new content?
This was the only point I felt the need to address: Are you suggesting that we omit higher level fights in favour of monotonous puzzles, every quest? The fight spiced things up for once.

Omg serious profit is really serious you saved what like 600gp *not worth it in my eyes* Would have spent more in fire runes from not using a staff. Perhaps it has uses elsewhere, though.

Malware Defense - Can't get rid of it!
Uh, I'm not bashing Microsoft, but that statement seems to hint that they have something to hide-true or not. If any other company included the same terms I would say the same thing. They want the statistics to pass through their hands so that they can manipulate them in their favour.

Malware Defense - Can't get rid of it!
I came on this thread to ask if anyone had any MSE benchmark tests. I did a Google search and BAM. Yeah, I'll stick with an independent company.

Tormented Demons Solo and Duo Guide
I use halberd and have done TD's next to people using godsword. In some cases I kill them at the same time as the other person. The best part of the hally is the spec; with it, it might even be equivalent to a GS. My max so far with the spec is 90+. Plus with only a 30% spec bar requirement, you can use it 2 times against one TD. I think he meant the godsword in general, special ignored. which is stupid, because as you get to use the special normally twice atleast each demon, it can make a fair difference You could use an SGS/EE and stay even longer using a stronger and more accurate weapon.

Tormented Demons Solo and Duo Guide
This method is not the most efficient, especially for higher levels. The Dragon Halberd is not better or equivalent to the Godsword-it is slower in terms of kills with the only benefit being the absence of the demon's melee attack. The "safe" spot mentioned does not protect you from all angles and it is possibly to received damage in either the alcove or behind it. It's not a bad method if you want to camp the demons, but there are faster and cheaper methods.

Windows 7 downgrading to xp
No you said that "components of [the] system [would be] liable to stop working at any point" which is not true. Unless I am mistaken, you can rollback to a previous date, omit the update and then continue to receive updates (I am aware this this is an option on Vista and 7, but it has been a while since I've used XP). Meaning that the security loss is only skin deep. As of December '09, greater than 60% of the Windows OS marketshare belongs to XP. [1] I'm not sure of the reliability of the graph, but many people are still contently using XP. Sure it would be better to use the latest OS, but if it's essential to get this program working then using XP isn't that bad. The OP still has four years of support, enough to time to cross that bridge. Even disregarding the compatibly mode of most programs, as far as the graph goes, that only applies with a minority users.
