Abortion: Freedom of Choice Act (FOCA)
But it doesn't mean we should kill them just because they'll have a harsh road in the end. Just my two cents of course. I don't see how. If I were against abortion, it would be for reasons concerning morality - you know, right from wrong. Well then what makes it more right to force them to go through a life of suffering? Now I understand that there are cases where people escape their horrible childhoods and they've become strong people, but that type of judgment should be up to the parents. Are you joking me? Would you honestly put your life in the hands of your parent knowing full well they might decide to kill you as a plausible option? The fetus, destined to be a baby, should decide for itself. Nobody in America is born into a 'bad' family and is destined for a crappy future (unless it's a bunch of crackheads, but the child can even escape that if they so choose - it's called governmental protection). The baby should have a choice in whether they grow up into a great person or a scumbag, but that decision should never be made for them. ...and furthermore, this really isn't a debate about abortion. It's about the FOCA; and the sanctions therein. Please stay a bit more on topic. -.- Now, are you joking me? Nobody is? Just because someone doesn't have the life you or I have, doesn't mean it doesn't happen. People are born into families of 12+ living inside a trailer with parents selling drugs for money, abusive families, using their children for benefit, or far worse. Just because America sets high standards and a precedent for the middle class, doesn't mean things can't and don't happen. It's a country like any other. The government it sometimes useless in helping children. How, might I add, is a fetus supposed to decide for itself. If you wanted to be fair, you'd have to wait until it's an adult to reach a logical conclusion. By then, well, there was no point. The choice of life and death of a fetus lies in the hands of the parents - no one else.

How important is RAM?
true, but if your only using the computer for things that will never require anymore than 3 or 4gb, its better to just have 4gb of faster ram. ...And get screwed later when you find out that technology actually advances and suddenly you need every kilobyte. No thank you. But if he buy 2x2GB, then there's room for more. And, once we reach the point where 8GB is as common or needed at 2GB, I'm sure it would be cheaper. :?

Abortion: Freedom of Choice Act (FOCA)
I agree as well. They shouldn't force, no, it is the decision of the mother, to kill or not to kill. But an "unsuitable" mother shouldn't be able to kill the child just because she is "unsuitable". What makes her unsuitable, exactly? What makes her different than anyone else? Everyone is equal. Period. If they want to get an abortion, then that's their choice and there's nothing one can do about it. They might, however, tell her why or why not she might want to get an abortion. I think he was speaking of medical issues, or some complications in childbirth; something that will harm the mother.

Is there anything that can't kill you?-No supercannons!
Even without a water cutter, we can establish that a drop of water can indeed kill you.

How important is RAM?
But it sounds like overkill, since it doesn't sound like the OP is doing much in the way of "amazing." I don't think he'll use all of the memory he's buying if he goes with 8GB.

There's absolutely no explosion when you split hydrogen from oxygen, sorry. I think she meant split the atoms themselves, not the molecule as a whole. And hydrogen atoms/oxygen atoms just explode when you break them down? This doesn't make sense at all... at any rate, if you do manage to make it explode, you do realize it is at an ATOMIC level? Errrr.... we're still talking about a purified drop of water, and the fact that the cutter doesn't work by using a single drop of water pretty much concludes that I'm still right. I'm sure if you reused the same drop over and over it would eventually cut you. The droplet of water would gain too much friction energy which will heat it up to evaporation before it ever cuts my skin. Plus, like cannibalism said, such a machine does not/will not ever exist because it would be physically impossible. Do you know how an atomic bomb works? I can assure you, it's at an atomic level as well. Priapism. Maybe not deadly to the person, but possibly to the...little person. If I lost my 'little person' I would kill myself, not sure if that counts or not but I felt like proving myself wrong. You had a closed blood system, while having a near-death supply of blood. The erection would cause you to lose some, keeping it long enough resulting in death.

Abortion: Freedom of Choice Act (FOCA)
Abortion is murder of innocent people, so was the holocaust. Pretty good grounds for a comparison I think That is your opinion not cold hard fact. I think you're a nutter for comparing the Holocaust to abortions but that doesn't make it so. Quite frankly I think this has went from a reasonable well thought out discussion into a ridiculous hysterical nightmare thread. Do you agree that the holocaust was murder of innocents? I hope so, if you are a holocaust denier I don't see any point in arguing with you. Do you agree that children are innocent? I hope so. Do you agree that a child dies when an abortion is performed? I think so. What you don't agree with is a fetus being human. You say it isn't cold hard fact, but it really is. Scientists have proven, time and time again, that the only reasonable time to say somethign is alive is at it's conception. Honestly, the transitive property doesn't work as well in life as it did in Geometry. I'm not going to have a child if it's inconvenient for me and the child. I'm living off the money I made from 16-18, which wasn't much I might add. Having a child would put me out on the streets. And don't tell me to get a job in college, that just leaves my life in shambles because I'm trying to justify a reason not to kill it, when, more than likely it will spiral down with me.

Abortion: Freedom of Choice Act (FOCA)
I live in a one room apartment - no bedroom. It is, perhaps the size of a moderate living room. Certainly I don't use drugs, but there isn't room for a child to develop here. Certainly I would not want one to. Nor do I think I have the experience or time to raise one.

Abortion: Freedom of Choice Act (FOCA)
This is what I have a problem with, however. Just because you don't know who the father is, you can just kill the baby? What did it possibly do to deserve that? My parents are quite poor to be honest. They struggle to make ends meet, and they have 7 kids. My childhood...I couldn't have asked for a better one. I wore old, hand me down clothes. I got crappy christmas presents. I never had the new toys that everyone else did. I have to pay for college on my own steam. But I was loved. And love is enough to make any life worth living. You were lucky. Not all mothers are going to love their daughters. Having a child is a great responsibility, and unless you actually have been in the situation, you cannot relate. I agree completely. Not all parents will love their children. But my question is simple. Does that give you(or anyone) the right to kill an innocent child? Does it? I think not. No it does not, but abortion isn't the killing of a child its the killing of a fetus. As I have stated before; scientists have proven that a fetus is alive. Therefore, it is a human being. Why do you think it isn't? It looks different? I look different from you, I am sure. Does that mean I am human and you are not? No. I'm not saying it's an easy choice, certainly not. But I'm not going to let my child grow up in a crack house while I'm in college, just because I can't pay for it.

Abortion: Freedom of Choice Act (FOCA)
So you recognize that the fetus is a someone, and yet believe they're an object? What? By your logic, I should be allowed to go out and kill somebody just because they consist of less cells than all of humanity loses in a day. I find this thoroughly ridiculous. Also, claiming that a fetus doesn't have feelings? There have been studies on the development of fetuses, how they respond to music and touches and the like. If they were so unimportant, why is prenatal care and maternity such an important part of healthcare? Especially late-term, a fetus is just a baby trapped in a womb. Most aboritions are caused before 30 weeks, usually between 8-15. At this stage, even if they can listen to Mozart and such, scientists say that they do not feel pain until week 25-30ish. So the death is painless. A three-inch fetus is not a grown adaptable human being and why we are regard them as such is beyond me. The acts of maternity care usually imply after week 20 I would say, maybe later. Well off the average abortion age. If its a baby trapped in a womb or a inch-long fetus, it is still inside the woman's body and they have the choice to remove it if they wish. It was a joke. I thought that OT was sick of jokes when they told the point of it within it, like those Moti-fakes. I was just poking fun at Wookiee's relation between his thoughts and his grammar. Nothing more. :^o Scientists have proven, time and time again, in all forms of life, that life begins at conception, the very beginning. There is no in between, you cannot put a condition on life. Have you ever seen a video of an abortion? Even at 2 months old, the fetus squirms, tries to get away from the vaccum that is tearing it to peices. You CANNOT put a condition on the life of a human being like this. Obama said "I wouldn't want my daughter to be punished with a child". Since when is a living human being a punishment? Sure, everybody makes mistakes. I can't begin to imagine the agony a woman would go through having and unwanted pregnancy, or being raped. However, killing off the problem is simply not an option. And I'm sure if you were a women that you'd feel the same. Honestly, I'm not going to the bear the child when I have no idea who the father is. And I'm certainly not going to bear the child when I don't have the financial support to give him a good childhood. And, I never really understood the concept that humans should be valued as such, above other organisms.

Don't buy a Dell! (And I need help)
Just got sent another Dell computer, the same model and such. I checked my credit card, and there were no payments to them, almost as if it were a free computer. :-k I called and they said there was no mistake, but that they didn't know why it was sent. But, I tried it out, downloaded all the updates and upon restart I got the fan noise again. Mountain Dew came out my noise at that point.

We already went over that. Most things now are just repeats of previous things that have already been proven false.

Wasted Time
"Wasted" time is only defined by the person "wasting" it. That said, I don't feel comfortable saying that I have ever wasted time.

Again, I still disagree. Anything with any specific mass has the ability to be divisible.
