<4 Thanks Vapour #2 <4
Alright, well, I just have to say that this may be a lengthy story, so if you want to skip down to the achievement you can, it's at the bottom in hide tags. Well, first I just have to say what a wonderful community this has turned out to be since my last Rate This!, I've made a lot of friends and many of which have helped me along the way. While I have to many to name, and the fact that I'm forgetful and bad with names (don't feel bad if I left you out), I'd like to name a few. First and foremost is Vapour, also known as Sina J. He has, without knowing it at the time, inspired me to "Get Rich in 90 Days", or to get a partyhat. Well, that didn't turn out as planned, so I recently made a blog known as "Getting Rich in 44 Days", which to my surprise, was a success. Vapour made a Rate This!, I don't know, a year an a half ago(?) about F2P merchanting and how he finally got a partyhat. Now, I just had to have one. Another great person is Master_Smither, also known as Runescapew44. He was on his way to 99 runecrafting, while I just happened to be money that way. Somehow we met and that turned into a race to get 91/99. However, I never stuck with deadlines very well and he beat me (and is still beating me  ). Needless to say though, He was the one who made me realize just how amazing runecrafting can be for money making. I stuck to that and got to where I am today, 92 runecrafting. I've made millions this way, and would suggest to anyone who wants to make money to runecraft. Another great friend, although not a TIF'er is Blank_91. He also had a purple partyhat and has always been a great friend since we met. Sadly, he has moved on from Runescape and is working on tricking out his car. :? Footashi, we went on our first Dk trip together, once maging without a suicide, which didn't turn out to well. He's quite funny, although extremely random. He's been to most of my achievements and parties, it's been great man. Bran Flakes, or Brandon917, although we recently just met it's been great. We've gone to a lot of events together, and he's recently gotten a lot of levels such as 99 Attack, and today brings 85 Mining. Congratulations Bran Flakes. :) He's been the best friend on here that I've had for awhile, and supports me in any situation. Him, his favorite smiley, and I have been talking for days on end. He usually keeps me up until 3am. He's great. :) Jives, or Jesus M4, has been a great friend of mine. We talk a lot and really just helps to have someone to talk to. He made it a lot easier to runecraft because of this. I someday hope to go duo Sara with him. ILU Jives! Ollyc3, we're writing an intense action packed novel together. Intheclubio, Toastwhatshisface, Lady H, Inuashakent and his amazing guides and ZOMG INEFFICIENTNESS, Eagle Tas, Littleboy, Littlebig, Da Rich Hobo. Anyone else, I'm sorry if you're name isn't on here, I didn't forget you, I'm just tired. :( Alright moving on. To start things off, about three years ago I was dirt broke. Litterally. I was a member chopping Yew logs to get my first set of Ahrims (3M at the time). Well, while doing so, I met someone named Stelthcobra. We became the best of friends, and still talk to this day. He helped me with everything, and even helped me obtain my first Abyssal Whip, which was quite the improvement for me at the time. After this, I began to browse TIF and became a member. This is where I learned how inefficient everything I was doing was. Stealthcobra stopped playing as much as he used to, and I found someone called Blank_91. He was probably the richest player I had every seen up to that point. He had a purple partyhat and various dragons armours. He got me slightly interested in woodcutting, which I started doing for a little side cash. one day, while viewing TIF, I just came across Vapours thread and knew that I had to do that as well; but I hadn't any money. I chopped magics until I could afford an 8M Easter Egg, my favorite of all rares. So I had enough money to merchant, and miraculously I made a small fortune off the egg by trading it for guthan sets. With like 10M now in my pocket, I began the quest for a Green H'ween Mask. one of my friends mentioned runecrafting, which I tried my luck at. So I got to 44 and started runecrafting natures. It wasn't to long before I could buy it, for 21, and it was a great feeling. Not because I had a rare object, but because I had fulfilled a goal. I merchanted that mask until a santa. That santa became two santas. Then the day before the staking update, I decided to go to sleep that night without a rare, which was rare ( -.- ). With one market close came another; godswords. I made a killer off buying zamorak godswords and selling them. I climbed up to 80M when I started to see the money disappearing, I just don't know if I was spending it on skills, losing money merchanting, or what. I was back down to 40M again, with only godsword. So in light of this, I sold it and began runecrafting again. And the money started flowing back; I regained the ~90M. Not long after that I bought full 3rd Age Melee. I kept it for maybe two weeks, when I learned what a worthless piece of junk it was. It has poorer stats than barrows, and is so much more expensive. So I sold it on the GE, without junk. I still don't regret selling it really, as the money was put to better use. But again, the money was lost somehow, and I was at another setback. But runecrafting brought me up again repeatedly, and I was determined to get 91 now. I began to ZMI from 82. It saved a lot of time, and thus a lot of boredom. I finally got 91RC, which is where I am today (well 92, but, meh). I finally got the money back, all 110M. So you see, it really wasn't about Runescape, nor my peers, rarity, etc. It was about making a goal and sticking to it. Before Runescape I never really had anything that I had to do, or rather, what I wanted to see completed myself. Runescape has tought me many things I'm not sure words can explain, regardless of what anyone says. Typing skills, social interaction, grammar, economics, etc. To say the least, I am glad I played Runescape, and all the time I've spent into playing it. So: [hide=][/hide] Today is also my birthday, I'm turning 19. I don't care if you say it's the wrong time to buy one, I had the chance and took it, I know it's dropping, but I made someone's day. I didn't sell everything I have, but I mainly just have RC supplies, which is all I do nowadays, so it doesn't really matter.

Zmi>Nats?
Ok so your saying if you ZMI and you get 37K xp/hr max which I'll say 35K xp/hr average it's better in the long run? He will graahk and get 2.5K nats or so an hour which is 22500 xp/hr and 91 being almost half way to 99 would make it so ZMI would have to be 40K xp/hr to make it more efficient in the long run. Check and mate. ZMI is not more efficient in the long run. Off the topic of ZMI if you want money for 60-91 I suggest you do astrals from 82-91 they are 21k xp/hr. P.S Zarfot's statistics are through the roof I don't believe one can do the xp per hour he claims he does because there will always be an error during an hour of rcing. The thing is he did his times on the best possible trip he did which is just plain dumb. Sorry I dislike Zarfot and his methods of calcing xp/hr because they don't reflect a human being. Alright, let's say I start from level 75. Which is 5,902, 831(91) - 1, 210, 421(75) = 4, 692, 410exp. Graahks: 4, 692, 410/22, 000 = 213 hours 521, 379 natures in total. Which would give you ~124M. ~124, 000, 000 - (160*521, 379) = 40, 579, 000 million in net profit. ZMI: 4, 692, 41/35,000 = 134 hours ~100, 000 * 134 = ~13, 400k in profit. The difference?: 213 - 134 = 79 hours. I those 79 hours you could be double crafting and these reflect the results: 238 * 2 = 476 476 - 160 = 316 22, 000 / 9 = 2, 444(2) 2, 444 * 316 = 772, 304 per hour. 79 * 772, 304 = ~61M in net profit. ~61M + ~13M = ~74, 000, 000 ~74, 000, 000 - ~41, 000, 000 = 33, 000, 000 So, in conclusion, if you crafted natures via Graahk from 75 to 91, you would miss out on nearly 33M. I suppose Astrals would be a little better, but I doubt they would make up for a lost 33M. :? Also, you're right about the , but double natures make it only about 1/4 of the way to 99. Similar, it only makes it about 1/4th of the profit as well.[/hide] You realy can't say ZMI is 100K profit/hr because there is no realy way of telling it and well you could get unlucky so with that as your variable that isn't constant you realy can't have one more for it to be an actual mathematical problem. Also what about the price of runes for zmi? Your going to use atleast 6000 laws runes in that entire journey. Thats 3M+ taken away. Also he said he wanted 91 for the moment not 99 so we're talking about the best way to 91 her which you entirely through out in your quest to beat me at math and to support ZMI which fails hardcore. With you making I'd say ~5M from ZMI from 75-91 thats just wow. But with natures you make ~41M which is way better for the time spent. So in conclusion the the best way to 91 rc is natures/astrals at 82-91. Even is ZMI will be faster most people don't continue rc much after 91 and 99 because well they get bored of it. Also with ZMI you won't have the rythme of nature runecrafting down and you will be very slow when it comes to starting off at 91. After I got 91 from 82 with astrals it took me until 92 to get the rythme down and then I actually started getting the best nats/hr. Of course I didn't graahk because I was before that time but I will start graahk after 99 defence ;) : I suppose you could say natures/astrals would be the most efficient way to 91. But I'm assuming he wants this this to make money, in which case it wouldn't be. :? Also, even if ZMI made no profit, you would still net ~20M.

Zmi>Nats?
ZMI is by far more efficient long term. In the time you save doing ZMI, you could well make more money double crafting natures. However, it is really your call. If you find one more fun than the other, then do that. Personally, I switched from Abyss to ZMI every so often to keep from boredom. At max I got like 37k exp per hour, and ~100k an hour. At Abyss, at max I could get 2.1k Natures which is (8*2,100) 18,900k exp per hour. Graahks are only about 600 natures more per hour. At max you could squeeze in 3,000 natures per hour, but that is so unrealistic, I've tried. :wall: ZMI if you want an efficient long term. Natures if you need the cash short term.

Forget this degrade BS, F2P now deserves dragon weapons...
why are f2p worthy of dragon items jagex receive nothing from them :| oh and if paying players don't deserve godswords to we deserve any updates at all and we should be going back to the first day of rs release [/hide] Correction, F2P actually gives JAGEX a fair wad of cash every month from the adverts that they display at the top of the page. Maybe you could take the into consideration and rethink you whole 'they give nothing...don't deserve argument'. On Topic: I think that Dragon Weapons could be good for F2P, as they have no decent weapons, but the weapons should not have the Specs. That would make them too over powered. Yes, they do have decent weapons, if only for the fact that they have decent armour. Give them better weapons, you would need better armour, which goes back to the "hand/arm" quote. Yes, F2P'ers do provide money for Jagex because of the adverts, but there is quite a difference between money out of your pockets and a middleman through the website itself. P2P actually hands them cash, taking money out of our pockets, we should obviously get something of equivalence; updates. F2P has gotten so many updates over this past year, probably more than ever. Because of this, I would love to just see Jagex announce F2P's completion, but that is highly unrealistic of them. Let's all face it, F2P is just there to make money for Jagex. It adds a "demo" and previews into membership, and Jagex just hopes that they will see the benefits and pay them. The only reason they add content now is because it stretches this into more areas. For example, 50RC is hard in F2P, but if they joined members, they could have easily reached that level in less than a week. So no, regardless of how you define it, I do not think that F2P "deserves" anything.

Forget this degrade BS, F2P now deserves dragon weapons...
Who cares if we don't appreciate them? As for that matter, where are you pulling this assumption from that members don't appreciate dragon weapons? I certainly appreciate my dragon scimitar, goes very well in combination with a rune defender for training strength. F2P don't deserve to get things that fall down the P2P ladder when new equipment comes out, in fact F2P don't deserve anything full stop. You are like one of those children who have a toy that they never play with but then have a tantrum when their parents want to give it away. -Player since 2003. Anyway, dragon weapons would, I think, end up being quite overpowered in f2p. Really, better offensive weapons are not needed, although I do know what you mean about it being difficult to kill someone in f2p. For me, f2p pking has always been about "Low risk, Low rewards", while p2p has been "high risk, high rewards." And by the way, a good f2p pker can do not bad at all, if he knows what he's doing. By the way, corrupt dragon doesn't seem to be completely useless. I can see the dragon battleaxe becoming a decent ko weapon, with 15 more strength than an r2h (18 if you combine it with a rune [bleep]y sheild). And you only have KO weapons out for a few seconds at a time, so that half hour would last quite a bit, if I am not mistaken. He does not want to see actual dragon weapons in F2P, as do I, and judging by your post, neither do you. Why would they ever give F2P dragon weapons? They add incentive to join, and the corrupt versions only add previews of them, which is a great way to get people to join. And honestly, yes, some "toys" I never use, but when they are being given away to others it makes me question why I bother paying for other "toys" in general; I could get them for free. Now, do not get me wrong, I am glad to see F2P getting PvP, and certainly happy that they get a preview into membership, which can only add revenue for Jagex, thus benefiting us. Just because we do not use them, the majority anyways, does not make a good reason to give them to people who do not pay for the benefits.

Corrupt Weapons (78 Attack Ones)
Pretty much my thoughts. People are ignorant to the fact that they last an hour.

Tip on brawling gloves....
That there is exactly what I was thinking. When you aren't using them, take them off. You can easily double the time you can use them (running to bank, low-xp obstacles, etc). Yeah, just take them off as you finish the course for the added effect. Can someone test this?
-
Rare demand once again?
Yes, but with new opportunities opening up in the market, we might see a tide turning. And as the hats drop, they are available to more people.
-
What is the motivation behind these names?
It's even worse when those players try to open a gilded alter (and you have to type it over and over). Oh the horror! :ohnoes:
-
Tip on brawling gloves....
That explains why you didn't get a pair. so, these gloves are only usable on pvp worlds? You do realize, ikraz66, that you need to risk 75k to get a drop? And yes, only on PvP worlds.
-
Forget this degrade BS, F2P now deserves dragon weapons...
Quite frankly, F2P is luck to get the PvP update. But I suppose it is an incentive to join members to reap even greater benefits. If that is the case, why would dragon weapons be made to F2P when they add an incentive to join (despite how bad some of them are)? Obviously the corrupted weapons are a preview into members and they show how membership could benefit a player.

The New Spells
Finally, magic as a skill gets a second look. \ Melee is now, somewhat, weak to magic, regardless of hybriding.
-
Combat levels finally fixed.
Why are you complaining? Non PvP gets what they want, pures, who whined in the first place, get what they want. I can't see how this is not a win/win situation. Unless, of course, you just liked seeing people's actual combat levels. Perhaps the only downside is that 110's without the actual combat levels may be able to get into the PC veteran boat, but we don't have that much information to draw that conclusion.
