  1. I wore Verac's on Verac's mound. No luck. :(
  2. nuff said. When did 'General Discussions' become a forum whre you can only talk about updates? nuff said. Er, it never did. But he's posting in a update sort of way. The way he phrased it, this has no discussion value. It's a fun poll that can be accessed on Runescape.com. :|
  3. "Your ring fails to detect a portal."
  4. I'll go see. Test out the rarity and the portals.
  5. Absolutely no problem. But is it such a big difference? Depends on what you're doing but you're not going to really notice it. If you're playing movies, games, etc, it is possible you could see "ghosting" and blurs. Unless you are playing such demanding graphics, you have nothing to worry about. It really just comes down to what are you getting for your monies worth. Having a faster response time is better but 5ms is pretty much the norm for LCD monitors nowadays. I have maybe a 17ms monitor, it's still nice. So no, you're not going to "experience" any difference.
  6. In fact, I'm getting the 24" for 354$, but I wanted to show a link in english. Didn't know about the 22" resolution, tho. Those prices are quite innacurate. I'm not comfortable buying something over the internet ecause I don't have any credit card. Thanks for your input... Anyone else? EDIT (just seen Laura's post.): Thanks, but the 24"'s response time is 5ms. I suppose it ain't such a huge difference, but I can be wrong. Then again, prices are not accurate, I just wanted to show the models. Thanks, jsboutin2 Oh, sorry, I just went on another website and looked those up. I guess they were wrong about that. :(
  7. The first option has a pretty good resolution and a pretty fast response time. Good if you want to watch movies of play games. The price there is a bit overpriced though, other places such as Best Buy sell it for $400 (Newegg would be even cheaper I bet). Having an extra 2" over the other one is not to bad either. The second, has the same response time, but a lower resolution along with a smaller screen. And you're still getting ripped off. If you are serious about Blu-Ray and want the best screen out of those two I'd pick the first, W2452T. If you want to plug one into your laptop, check the sides or back of the system for a DVI output. It looks like this: If you have other similar looking places such as VGA: Or others, you can simply buy an adapter. Overall, I wouldn't buy either of those. Look at the Dell SP2208WFP, I've heard good things. Also has a built in webcam, DVI, VGA, HDMI, and USB ports. Might not be the best for Blu-Ray, but at less than $300, it's hard to beat.
  8. That's nothing to do with Vista, that's IE7, and IE7 runs on XP too. Firefox and IE are just browsers and not OSs. Well not 100% true, Vista was supposed to ship with the WinFS file system which boasts a relational database making file searching and indexing much faster. However, due to reasons mentioned below, vista had to be delayed and they stuck with good old solid NTFS. With Windows 7 you will still be able to use NTFS of FAT32 if you wish, but doing so would be silly as you will loose a lot of the advantages that comes with WinFS. It's a bit like using FAT32 on NT, 2K, XP, or Vista. Compared to NTFS, FAT32 is slower and lacks any form of security, you would be mental to use FAT32 on your Windows based HDDs these days. Another thing about Windows 7 is that finally the kernel will be built from the ground up using MiniWin technology. Making the kernels codebase much smaller and a lot faster. I personally can't wait as I have been fed up of Windows 2nd hand code lurking around. One point on Vista being delayed was oddly enough to do with XP. During the development of Vista some bunch of numpties found a load of security holes in Windows XP and released a mass of viruses into the wild. This was known as "The Summer of Worms". MS then halted development of Vista to concentrate on fixing the security issues in XP, thus Vista was put on a temp hold which led to WinFS not being used. I think it was pretty amazing they got Vista released when they did! But why must the answer always be another OS? "Oh, people are fed up with Vista, let's start Windows 7." While I can agree, Vista is not as bad as a lot of people make it out to be, but it does have its issues. I hope Microsoft learned from Vista and ME, but that's just me.
  9. This is the third topic on it. :|
  10. Sure, I did it at 62 as well. I did fail quite a bit, but I thought it was much better than the wilderness course.
  11. Void is good, but they have such defence that the bonus Void gives you is not worth it. Go with accuracy boosting armour such as dragonhide.
  12. Certainly cannot go wrong with a whip. As for armour, I would just buy a dragon skirt, cheap and equally comparable to dragon platelegs.
  13. They both drop them, but you have bad luck. :ohnoes:
  14. What did you like before? New minigames are out, and I find those enjoyable. :)
  15. EDIT: Never mind, the point I was trying to make was made.
  16. Simply put, I think it would suck regardless of your stats.
  17. Maybe....but didnt they say they were dead for 400 years? if it is...strange old man is really really old :ohnoes: Edit:Kb manual -> Areas -> Others -> spirit realm Under personalities of summer bonde Well, he is strange. Not to mention old. :ohnoes:
  18. lets say his numbers were 2000. His new name was the exact same except for 2001. And he was in his friendslist too... So he added his own account to his friendlist prior to being "hacked"? Sorry, I don't believe this story. You're either making it up or changing the facts Maybe the way he firgured out his password might have been a Keylogger and he tracked him by seeing him put his new account? That's just too convenient. I doubt anyone would go through all that trouble anyways. lets say his numbers were 2000. His new name was the exact same except for 2001. And he was in his friendslist too... And how do you know all this information so quickly? It's like you're talking on behalf for him, yet you pull all this out so suddenly and with confidence...sorry I'm not buying it. You can easily have a keylogger send you e-mails daily on what they type in. Bingo, I can see the new account. That or is he had a name like Hi2000, he could have made an account prior to the hacking called Hi2001. At which point it would have been obvious that he was indeed the owner of the account hacked. Easy to solve by deductive reasoning, eh? And yes, I know he said the guy made a "new" account, but stop taking things like he knows them as fact, it's not a first person account.
  19. You are forgetting that pures have 1 defence.
  20. Vista is nice, but it's such a memory hog, and the fact that XP is not supported come 2009, it is enough to make me switch to Leopard. Vista is not as bad as it's reputation proceeds it however, it has a nice GUI and is smooth and easy to use. The only bad aspect I have come across is driver issues. However, because I got my laptop about a month after Vista, I should have foreseen that, especially with the bare minimum specs I am using. :wall: If you want a Windows OS, go with Vista.
  21. Is this good?
  22. And next, they will take out speaking options to completely eliminate other player interactions. No more offensive language! No more trading? No more scamming! :|
