  1. They inspired me to make the design. I mean I didn't directly follow a tutorial to get my result.
  2. One time I was forced to have a bath, because my shower wasn't working (which I normally use). I hate baths and hadn't had one for months. Anyway when I had finished I stood up and I think all the blood rushed out of my head because I went literally blind for about 30 seconds. and almost fell over dizzy. :(
  3. It's all 100% my work, and I didn't use any tutorials, apart from what I've remembered in the past. Thanks Venomai, the column on the left would be a sort of introduction or the like. I'll work on it soon and hopefully produce a V2.
  4. Colour it and make it look uber sexy.
  5. Thanks for your comments. :D Lorem ipsum is like random gibberish that at a quick glance looks just like a normal paragraph/word/sentence etc. It's used to give a first impression on what a website will look like with all the text and info in place, as it's stuff you won't know about yet.
  6. Happy123 GMV. Thought his were very atmospheric.

Well I was browsing good-tutorials and found a few nice web layout tuts. So after about half an hour maybe 45 minutes I came up with this. It's supposed to be a clean, chic, modern portfolio design. Comments, criticisms etc welcome. [hide=Web Layout][/hide] I'll probably never use this as an actual template, so I kept it small to make it easy to work with.
  8. I'll enter, but I won't choose an image- I like surprises.
  9. I think you're doing a great job. This was probably asked before in your other thread, but how did you get such a high angle on the image? That guy is tiny!
  10. Well since everyone is giving him a bashing for lack of effort- He took the picture himself, so really this is a sort of photomanipulation. It looks nice, but maybe you can add some created elements into it.
  11. Change the border on V2, lol the gradient isn't very appealing. I quite like the sky, but I don't think it's as intense as the rest of the image.
  12. Very nice. I think you should get rid of the abstract part that is under the 'artic heat' text. It doesn't really fit with the rest of the abstract lines.
  13. I like the fact that the trees still look realistic, they don't look obviously edited, but that may be due to their colur in the original. Also, it's good that you're editing out undesirable elements in a picture.
  14. Well I've seen an influx of photomanips around here recently, and although they were good, I thought they were quite basic with just some retouching and colour changes (mostly). So I decided to have a go at something a bit different. Browsing through deviantart, I found this stock, which I liked very much. [hide=Original][/hide] After about 2-3 hours of ideas, redrafts and experiments, I finished with this. [hide=Product][/hide] I'm still not 100% happy with it, and I'm looking for some advanced critique and comments, so help me out guys, it's what you do best.
  15. :D I like the text actually. Nice job, it looks very good.
  16. I think he means Blending Modes. Blending Modes work on the basis of the relationship of overlapping pixels on different layers. Luminosity, colour and transparency are some of the factors that affect the outcome. Should be in Questions sticky anyway.
  17. I think the black and white strips each side of the neck obscure the form of the guitar too much, it looks too complicated.
  18. Thanks Nadril and others, you've been a great help. :D
  19. Don't planetrender renders usually have alpha channels for easy background removal?
  20. I quite like it, I wanted it to be dark and atmospheric. Any criticism and constructive help is greatly appreciated. Also if any Terragen aficionados can give me useful tips and techniques it would be great. Nadril, I'm looking in your direction, correct me if I'm wrong but I remember you being pretty handy with Terragen.
  21. what? A focal point is something that draws your attention in the image, otherwise it would look plain.
  22. [img=http://img88.imageshack.us/img88/9545/forcheezele7.jpg]
  23. Run Escape, lol, I never thought of it like that before. :D If you could colour it that would be pretty cool.
  24. Ditto TBH. Can you explain it better?
