  1. I'm not sure whether to report this or simply kill myself.
  2. Supermodel Robots- The Network Such a great band and my favourite song right now.
  3. If you're looking for clever and insightful lyrics then rap isn't the place to find them.
  4. ^ You realise everyone has made that comparison, and most of them don't actually care.
  5. It's a classic poem from Middle English, like 13th century old skool. The poem was about 2500 lines long. I studied it briefly in year 9 (about 14 years old), and I liked it. The effects look pretty cool, and I really want to see how they portray Grendel (the monster). Angelina Jolie as Grendel's Mother kind of put me off, I'm not really a fan of hers.
  6. -1 Don't post something that you yourself think is bad. Brownie points for asking for crit to make it better though. It's pretty abstract, but if you want a decent signature, that isn't really the way to go. Scrap it and start over, take a look at other people's signatures to get an idea of what looks good. Don't rip though.
  7. Basically it uses paths (similar to the photoshop tool) to make lines etc that you can fill and modify. Vectors use a mathematical principle called a Bezier Curve, which describes the line that links two points together, although it gets much more complicated. Because it just uses the maths to calculate the image, they are infinitely scalable. In photoshop if you zoom to 400% it looks pixelated, in illustrator it would look smooth. You can scale up as well, even to like 4000% or much much higher. Thats why when you design a logo for a company it's good to use vectors, so they can put it on a business card, the website or a huge billboard. Well that's the info behind it anyway. :D
  8. Awesome, even moreso if you can translate that tutorial.
  9. Same, I'm going to use the banana, mannequin and froggie. Just cut them out, now what to do with them.
  10. I'm pretty certain I'll have a go, any of those prizes make me drool. Nadril, I <3 for finding this, if I enter I'm gonna get as much input from here as possible before I submit.
  11. Good so far, but the head is odd shaped and the chest sticks out a bit too much.
  12. Add a nice cinematic border and move the text so it doesn't get cut off. :D I saved it as a bad jpg deliberately.
  13. File>Save for web If you're using jpeg, then adjust quality for lower file size
  14. +1 I think it's very atmospheric. Although work on where the wick and flame meet, I think the wick should be thinner and taller. Nice work on the flame, use some brighter colours in the middle to make it look really glaring. Don't be afraid to use white (or almost white).
  15. Groovy. 8-)
  16. This topic is one day shy of being exactly a year old.
  17. Navy's, by a mile. If I'm brutally honest I really dislike LP's, it just looks amateurish. Don't hurt me LP.
  18. I agree, non-destructive methodology is the best way to go when using Photoshop, or designing in general. But the finished article is what gets you noticed, not how easily able to edit it is.
  19. It looks like he just used the shape tool and filled it with colour. :?
  20. I could do that in 3 layers... I'm not really a fan of it. It's too simple, there's no obvious skill or manipulation.
  21. No, Nadril is right. Poorly edited screenshots is not what the Media board was meant for. Images that take skill, time and effort are what people look for and will comment highly on. And how is he meant to learn anything if every picture churned out gets 10/10 and people amazed. So be quiet.
  22. I love it. Although there is a glowing bit just behind Hendrix, it looks like it doesn't really belong there. *573475 ur 5k1775*
  23. They're scanlines. You create a small document like 4x4 pixels, then make a pattern diagonally across. Define it as a pattern. Then fill the layer you want with the pattern, on a reduced opacity if you want.
  24. If you're trying different browsers and even computers, then it's a server problem from Tip.it, nothing you can do.
