  1. I get one almost every time I kill chickens for feathers ...usually collect feathers 1k at a time and get at least 1 mime doing that.
  2. Just gather or farm all the ingredients yourself ...kind of what I like about the GE prices ...if you want to make money and lvl a skill, you have to do the work yourself, not just buy all the stuff. Sure it takes a lot longer, but it is what I enjoy about the game.
  3. Sounds like a good idea. The reason not to enchant them is that they become untradable if you do. No idea why. Is that just sapphire bolts that become untradeable? because I sell mith/emerald tip enchanted bolts all the time on the GE.
  4. lol...considering we grew up with Pong, asteroid, centipede, and Pac-Man, these graphics looks awesome!!
  5. I didn't ask the question ..but thanks, because I have been wondering this myself ....only 4 more defense lvls and I should be good to go. :D
  6. There is a wonderful Quest Guide that even has a map to show you where to go. This is not just directed at you Edard, so don't take it personally, but if you click on the Rune Tips Logo in the upper left corner of the forum, it takes you to the main Tip It website ...the forum is but a small portion of a much greater site which provides volumes of information painstakingly added by many volunteers who spend a lot of time gathering and writing down this info. Of course there will always be questions that cannot be answered in those pages, and that is why the forum is here, but many questions can be answered if you take the time and look at the rest of the site.
  7. Once you do What Lies Below and open the shortcut, after a few runs, when you learn your way you can get to the altar in a few clicks and it's not so bad ....good time to multi-task ...I usually do chaos when I am watching a movie, because I don't have to pay too much attention to the game.
  8. Only problem is if you die due to lag and get logged off , your gravestone disappears when you are logged off ...so blessed or not your gravestone will be gone along with all your stuff ( a problem I hope Jagex addresses).
  9. Do you want to complete the quest or just get access to the fairy rings? If you just want fairy ring access, then you don't need the levels to start the quest...I fairy ring all over the place and have neither of the levels required to complete the quest yet.
  10. Okay...here is how it works you get 6.2 XP for smelting (putting 1 tin & 1 copper into furnace and making 1 bar) you get 12.5 XP per bar you smith. Smithing XP is based on the number of bars you smith, so if you smith 2 bronze daggers you use 1 bar for each dagger (for a total of 2 bars) and get a total of 25 XP, if you make 1 bronze full helm you need 2 bars to make 1 helm and you still get 25 XP total. So the item you make doesn't really matter, it's the total number of bars you smith ...hope this makes sense

Yep, that's what I'm doing now...the kebbit bolts will sell pretty fast, and grey chins don't bring anywhere near what reds do, but they sell on the GE as well ...you won't get rich, but you will make some money whilst leveling
  12. little research: rune ess - 30 gp iron ore - 84 gp pure ess - 120 gp iron bar - 197 gp These are the current prices on the GE as of right now. Since you can't mine pure ess until lvl 30 mining, I would stick with iron until then. If you want to lvl smithing as well, make bars and sell them, but remember if you don't have rings of forging you will probably lose half of them. At lvl 30, consider switching to pure ess because it mines much faster and is closer to a bank.
  13. I remember seeing it too :-k .....but is there a specific respawn you are looking for? maybe someone will know where it is.
  14. Yep ...the switch is in a little house in Ardougne ...right by the watchtower and gate to get into West Ardougne ...it brings you to lvl 54 wildy by the mage arena and wildy course...when you arrive...head north, slash through the web and then head west ...and be on alert for revenants ...there is no shortage of them in this area ...and unlike real pk'ers, going around the back of the mage arena doesn't help all that much ...I usually encounter 2 of them back there.
  15. Crafting you get crafting XP on the crafting bench and construction XP on the workbench
  16. You beat me to it ...keep the knives for your own ranging...they are much more fun than bow & arrow.
  17. I'm always in World 99 unless I am slaying or mining ...then I hop looking for uncrowded spots.
  18. Get your slayer up to lvl 52 ...Jellys are a great source, and at 55 slayer Turoths drop ( for me anyway) at least 3 clues a task ...although they are not cheap and kind of slow to kill.
  19. I actually don't think this is a bug, more or less Jagex leaking stuff :P This has to be more than just a bug.. someone put some specific code into the game to make this happen. My guess is that part of the way familiars work is that they are released or something else happens to them if you die and they aren't one of your kept "items". This code was put into the game in advance, like some of the other Summoning bits, since most of the Summoning monsters don't actually exist yet. Jagex either forgot that the squid is already in the game, or else left it as an easter egg. I have to agree...this is not by definiton a "bug" .... the code was put in the game and nobody at RS thought it would be found before release of summoning or didn't care ... but awesome find nonetheless I just wonder what ever made you think ..."hmmm...let me get one of the Karamathulu squid thingys from that Rum quest and die with it in my pack just to see what happens?" They way you guys find things simply amazes me.
  20. Here is the Guide you are looking for.
  21. Yep ...that's it exactly ...I just did this quest yesterday ...you have to make the pieces actually touch each other
  22. Don't forget the Tower of Life for uni horns, red spider eggs, eye of newt, and I forget the 4th ...but got about 200 uni horns this morning with 60 cowhides and 1 horn to start ...and only took about 1/2 hour running to Ardougne and back
  23. Well since you can get druid robes from killing them, it would make sense that if they get new robes, they would also drop the new robes ....but then not everything in RS makes sense.
  24. wonder if a mortal peasant would have been ok...or did it have to be one of each :-k Had fun yesterday, but didn't get a screenshot #-o I was doing Cold War quest ..the part in Lumby by the sheep ...I was in my penguin suit when a guy came up and started talking to me guy: why do you look like a penguin? me: because I am a penguin guy: well how did you get to be a penguin? me: my parents were penguins, I was born this way. Can you keep a secret?? guy: ummmm...ok me: I'm running around RS hiding penguin eggs for summoning because it is being released soon ....but don't tell anyone, an don't watch where I hide the eggs...okay? guy: really????? cool!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I should of just logged off and waited for the post on the RSOF ...Summoning penguin spotted in Lumbridge ..... but I told him the truth ....I didn't want to get banned for impersonating an npc :shame:
  25. That is what I don't get...many people have the idea that all skills must be bought ...you can train anything for free if you are willing to spend the time ...I have never bought an herb or a seed ...either kill monsters or thief for what I need ...not saying this makes me any better than anyone else ...and it definitely takes a lot longer, but no skill has to be all that expensive. To answer your question though, if you were to buy all your supplies, I think herblore is more expensive than farming. Like Manoman said, a lot of decent seeds can be gained for free by hanging out in Draynor and picking them up when others drop them.
