See what I've been saying about slayer, Ray? This post pretty much represents the general idea of slayer :| Anywayyyy, I know you won't like this suggestion, but if you make over 192k an hour, bursting rock lobsters IS better. Yeah, you will need to make some money, but the magic and hp XP is unreal. And it is the best way, in terms of total time (time to earn money for bursts + actual bursting). That failing, you could do dust devils, I guess... Or *ugh* slayer, its really a veeeery distant third, though. Train your combat at DT skeles and do waterfiends if you really don't like lobsters :-# I think the 192k/hour is impossible to figure out. It relaly depends on how much you make per hour, and it was around 800k/hour if you don't really value the mage xp to the fullest. I would actually reccomend slayer. The thing is, you actually gain Slayer xp. Most players will value this later in Runescape, so might as well start now. It tends to be less monotonous, as well. (Subjective, I know. But still... :| )

Ginger, I was amazed. Those are one of the closest matches ever; the only person who done as good as you and a guy named Sake from my school. Lag wasn't that bad, and your TL is very good. You've master his important At's, but there is one thing you have to work on. TL has lagless moves. When you shda, don't just get hit by my ftilt, you done that 1... 2.. 3.. always. Dont. This also applies to his zairs. There's a reason why they're called lagless. You got alot better since we laste played... I might start playing Brawl, everybody's catching up again. :XD: I just need to wash some rust off, too much melee. :lol:

There's a good guide on Ice trolls at Truthscape.com However, I would just kill mountain trolls; they are faster.

Crystal bow is equal to magic short bow +rune arrows. If this was good, it would be used at bosses like Saradomin, Armadyl and so on. But why is it good at Fight Cave? My conclusion: cause the healers are a bit far away so you need long range to not get in area where TzTok-Jad can melee you. But you can just put crossbow on "Long range", so crossbow beats Crystal. Diamond e ignores TzTok-Jad's defence, and broad bolts on waves are very easy considering it hits harder than Crystal bow! Crystal bow= hits 18s mostly Broad= i hit 23+ + u can wear shield or prayer book ...a DFS +crossbow is not better than Crystal bow lol? Lady owned hehe :lol: :lol: :lol: <3 Perhaps, but I love bows overcrossbows. The Crystal Bow could be kept at max charge, and that would make it better ... in my view :P True, but it takes way too much effort to use it in the Fight caves.

No, not even close. If you're ranging, definetely use a safespot. And I'd just train Slayer, that's how most people raise combat now anyways.

Good guide, but you should say how much of those drops you can expect per hour. It's definetely not 100k+ xp/hour, though.

Unless you GWD, where you can make way over 1m/hour with a BGS.

Or just make Slayer helmets give range and mage bonus? I don't know, it would make sence...

I think I can end this discussion, or at least provide some insight... This will be with all bad tasks blocked, skipping all bad tasks, and with 90+ Slayer. (Surprisingly not THAT hard to achieve... well, at least to 99.) The cash is decent, and the xp aint bad too. You get 70k+ xp/hour, and more than enough to pay back for piety/cannonballs. But in the end, Slayer falls short in every way. Except Slayer xp. How much you value the Slayer xp, if at all, is personal opinion, which cannot be proven by a fact. There.

Eh, he's going to get past 99 Combat stats if he's planning on training Summoning/Slayer any higher anyways...

Do you really not know that a Green d hide chaps is better than studded? And it's a bit overdoing it to add everything, especially unimportant information. Pig headed? How so? I'm giving him critisism; I'm not saying "Your guide sucks." without an explanation.

Where did you get those statistics? :shock: 10/10. \ 1/600 per drop, rough estimate.

Woah, woah, woah. I was starting to take your point of view, until you blantly said "DFS is better than the R defender." When you're not fighting bosses, you should be using a Rune defender. Wear barrows, buy Guthans, and start slaying. Yes, it's better.

That's probably the closest to what my opinion is. When I pked, I never used protect prayers. I didn't mind if the other person did it, I'd pray back then, but I was never the first person to put prayer up. It wasn't part of the honor code or anything, I just didn't find it fun hitting 0 after 0, it's more interesting and intense when you're actually dealing lots of damage, and taking a risk But is pathetic really the right word? Hell, I wouldn't even use the word cowardice. I would say it's a tactic, and if you don't like it you just should avoid whoever uses it.

So defense doesn't matter to you? What about when you're fighting monsters that are strong enough to deal damage to you, but not bosses? You're going to take a defender and have to bank often? Or take a DFS and last longer? EDIT: Kent, I'm obviously not talking about you personally, not all of us have near maxed out melee stats. Don't think about yourself, think about the majority of RS. The majority of Runescape can't afford a DFS. :lol: When you're fighting bosses, you usually bring a Godsword. (Only exception is Armadyl and Dk.)

False. 19 Slash will increase your slaying speeds more than the 2 Str bonuses. And where do you really need defense bonus now? It's all about GS's and Whips+R defender. (Well, obviously theres a few exceptions...) But for training purposes, the R defender is irriplacable.
