  1. It's an OK guide though many guides explain this very same concept better. I think the line of GE investment guides have pretty much reached their limits and have only room for minor tweaks, adjustments. In my opinion, it's not worth it for you to write a guide like this purely just because at this point, there are so many guides that are the same out there. It's more of a popularity contest. With this said, the guide is good. Well written, no claims of a wonder-item that will make you rich in seconds, so that's always a plus. Just too generic. I think the topic just doesn't allow you to create a very unique guide. Sorry if the criticism was a bit too harsh, just giving you my bit on the guide. I think for someone new to investing or GE merchanting it would certainly help them understand the basics of working the market. --8/10--
  2. I'd say mines worth about 7 cookies, 3 rolls of toilet paper, and some milk. Gf :)
  3. Well you have to put your faith in what they say. They've obviously experienced it if they posted it on the site now haven't they? There is your answer.
  4. No, we do not. A good weapon is relative to how good the HP system is. So far, Jagex has been adding a lot of new weapons that frankly, their HP system just can't support for it to be a reasonably fair weapon. I'm quite sure that the Dragon Claws and Godswords have stretched the painfully basic HP system thin enough. You can't just keep spitting out weapons that outclass the last added weapons - you will eventually run into the breaking point of the HP system. I think for this reason Jagex will actually be doing a major update to the hitpoints system, or how weapons work, etc. (Something along those lines)
  5. Well, as far as the "RS Bill of Rights" goes, its Jagex's game. If you would just read the Terms of Agreement, you would read that it clearly states, "your Jagex account is property of Jagex LTD." A Bill of Rights would be required if we were born into the rule of a government to protect us from our potentially poor circumstances. I'm pretty sure you signed up for Runescape, you agreed to the Terms of Agreement, which means your Runescape account is subject to their "jurisdiction" and "condemnation" if you will. Sorry, you have no grounds to ask this question.
  6. *Has never been spotted* D: Btw, what are/is the TIFer Clan chats >_>?
  7. I hope I will! :P Currently yew longs, but I'll be switching over to mage longs when I can. :o I guess you've been to/live in Cincinnati too eh? Yes, I am a die-hard Reds fan. :P I also don't like Chili. :-# So neither! Thanks for the post! Possibly Never thought anyone lived there but me XD.
  8. Nobody..."hates" (notes dramatic overstatement in the question) on "noobs". People hate on 8 year olds coming on to a game they have no business ruining. The question is, why the hell must annoying kids ages 8-12 come on Runescape and ruin it for all the rest of us? Why is their grammar so bad? I could carry on a more understandable conversation with a potato than with these jokes of players.
  9. nice bloggeh =D> gl umm...that clue really fails XD. Thats great haha
  10. Nice blogeh! :o Steve Raleigh ish bad weatherman! Valerie Abati ish hawt weatherwoman :D! I'm so glad we got Steve Horsemeyer or whatever his name is XD..Good to see you're a Reds fan when they don't have much to be cheered about! Skyline or Goldstar :o Good luck with your blog! Hawt :D
  11. Grats and nice! However, could I ask what you make for herblore >.>? If you wouldn't mind sending me a Private Message explaining i'd be ever grateful. If not, thats fine too :)! Good luck!
  12. First off, thank you for NOT making a guide for the obvious. I can't tell you how many times I've seen either repetitive or guides that are so painfully obvious that there is no use for them. These tips and tricks I think will help me a lot! I see now that I was acting-a-fruitcake when I played! I'm new to the minigame but I can't wait to test out this guide. Thanks a lot for this info.
  13. I want to get my fishing and cooking up and i want to know the xp/hour rates. Im 66 fishing right now and getting 70 at shilo village. What is xp per hour at shilo village? 35-40k xp an hour is what I find if you focus and are quick to bank/move spots. After I hit 70 fishing i will try barbarien fishing for swordfish. What is the xp per hour for that^? No clue but it won't be much. I think it will be around 3/4 the fishing xp of normal fishing swordies and tuna. Will i get swordfish and tuna or just swordfish? Both If swordfish dosent work out i will try to do lobsters. How fast are lobsters at 70 fishing? It may take 3-5 minutes for a load of lobsters at 70 if you focus How much xp per hour can i get at 70 fishing at lobsters? 15-25k xp an hour maybe. I'm not entirely sure.
  14. Oh, this thread is still around ^_^ So, this is cashcow5's new account. Kind of quit Tip.it and runescape for a while and when i came back i forgot my account's password so i made a new one. Anyways :P

  18. I'd like to start off by saying that both my fishing and woodcutting levels are even at 86. Everyone has their own views and opinions. I think Woodcutting is hands down the most widely used money-making skill in the game. In nonmembers, Woodcutting definitely beats Fishing purely because it is extremely difficult to fish medium level fish such as tuna, lobsters, swordfish, etc because the fishing spots are so far from a bank. If nonmembers had easier access to the bank while fishing, lobsters, tuna, and swordfish would be near worthless. However, in members, it is a far different story. Some will say fishing is too boring to get up. Fishing may be slow at a low level but you only need to get to 40 fishing before the money starts reeling in. With woodcutting, it is much faster than fishing but will take longer, as you will need 60 before there is any practicallity using woodcutting to make money. So, both have pros and cons. I would say a person at 60 fishing that is fishing lobsters would make far less than a person with 60 woodcutting that is cutting yews. But, those who manage to make it to 76 fishing, will find fishing extremely rewarding. On the other hand, those who get 75 woodcutting, which in my opinion takes less than half the time it takes to get 76 fishing, will not make as much money. If you have patience and get 76 fishing, it will pay off in the end. With that said, before anyone quotes what I just said and tells me how ridiculously stupid that comment was, keep in mind that that comment applies to 75 woodcutting cutting magics, versus 76 fishing fishing sharks. Now, to the aspect of high-level fishing and woodcutting. If you are a high-level fisher (80ish and above), you most likely will stick to sharks to make money. If you are a woodcutter on the other hand, you will probably find that yews are great money (possibly better than magics) and that yews are amazing experience past 80 woodcutting. Everything is based on peoples personal opinions. But woodcutters also need to keep in mind that future fletching, woodcutting, or even farming updates may completely throw off the use for cutting yews/ magics. But you shouldn't worry too much because Jagex will not be careless in their updates so this shouldn't affect prices to much even if some update does make fletching, firemaking, or alching easier. Fishing will probably never become useless as runescape's whole healing system is based off the eating of food. Bottom Line: Woodcutting- pros: Fast, easy, not too taxing on the player cons: Your production is affected by players, not extreme amounts of money, using logs to fletch, alch, burn is based purely on the demand of players and is not necessary Fishing- pros: Cheap to train, reliable (use for fishing will never be "outsourced" so to speak to another skill), lots of money at higher levels, your production of fish is not affected by other players, with the exception of random events such as whirpool and big fish cons: Slow, can be extremely boring, fish prices drop dramastically (yes this is a word) when cooked. I hope this helped! ;) P.S: If your wondering which skill I prefer, it's fishing for the reasons stated above and because I fish in real life.
  19. I think that you have some reasonable and cool ideas. I really liked what you said about crafting, firemaking, and herblore. I think it would be cool to see more uses of firemaking and I think that it is on Jagex's agenda to update especially firemaking and woodcutting. Whether they directly base their updates off of these suggestions or not you have some 1337 ideas.
  20. Thread name: "make 5 times your money" This method has nothing to do with actually multiplying your actual number of GP. Exponentially increasing your money would be to take a starting amount and multiply it upon itself. Now, this is not to say that it doesn't take the money you invested in the bird meat and multiplied it by 5. Which it does. I just don't find it clear enough on how you arrived at this explanation. (17x5=85) What you could do is: 1) Make the name more clear by mentioning what the guide is actually about 2) Add in the information about how it takes the money you invested in the bird meat and multiplies it by 5 when you sell it in the actual guide itself 3) Once you have completed step 2, make sure it is clear about how your money is increased. I.E: Don't just say: "17 gp turns in to 85gp!" Say something more along these lines: "Using this method would take the money you invested in the bird meat, which is only 17gp each, and turn it into about 5 times that amount!" Both of my posts were purely constructive criticism and I am only offering my advice to you in order to make this a better guide.
  21. REPENT. No, but seriously that was a great guide. Something new, inventive, humorous, and religious. You were able to mesh all of these aspects together perfectly to create a beautiful guide. Brilliant.
  22. Although this information is valuable, I find the thread name misleading as this method will not 'exponentially' increase your money.
  23. Hmm...good guide. This is not new information to me but I'm sure it will help out a lot of other people! Anyways, I think I like the fishing icon the most. This is an understandable, quick, and easy guide! 10/10 as I see no flaws
