  1. Its a shame that Jagex took pking out of the wilderness.
  2. Yes= Jagex Killed RS for anybody who has friends. but If you're a turtle who lives inside a shell, go on and play.
  3. RIP Wilderness. Slayed by a stray bullet in an attempt to kill RWT. :( :(
  4. Hmm, does it require a monthly subscrition? (This thread is probably getting locked tho :-$ )
  5. Bounty locate spell? :-w Not high enough mage?
  6. Runescape Update 14 February 08 Runescape Update 3 March 08 +1 :XD:
  7. I just read the dev diary. Are that out of touch with players? They say that RWT will ruin runescape, but Wtf are they doing right now? And whats with saying that people will enjoy clan wars and bounty hunter more than regular wilderness? I've just been there and its complete garbage, I couldn't find my target, and I was getting teamed half the time. Great job Jagex. Great Job. On a side note, the skeleton mage thing on the bottom looks hawt.
  8. Cool, 3 and a half hours since update... have fun. Ah, it was a bit overdue anyways. I seriously do not wish to stick around to see what else they will do to ruin this game.
  9. Well i have officially cancelled my membership and dropped all my stuff. So long Jagex! Guess I can go play Counter strike or something now.
  10. Think of RWT as a hall. It has direct player to player trading as it's center pillar. Not to mention the MAJORITY of players all use this method to play. Around this pillar are smaller ones, not as important, but given the need they can support the weight of the hall. These smaller pillars are: dueling arena, Party Pete's, dropping items from inventory, PKing drops, and dying to an NPC and looting the pile. All these are also used very rarely, or by a SMALL MINORITY of runescape players. Most RWT do not use those "smaller pillars" but if Jagex yanks the "main pillar" they will quickly use them. So what is Jagex to do? They yank the smaller, less "used" pillars first. They KNOW they are going to anger a few players, but they NEED to control the RWT and their bots or the game will not last. As they pull the smaller pillars they "redirect" those not directly affected by giving us NEW UPDATES.... We're seeing this now. Jagex is collapsing the RWT "hall". As they do this they have given us the GE, and as a bonus they suddenly decided to give us Development Diaries about the new skill. Once the last few small pillars are removed Jagex will ALSO pull the "main pillar". All trades will be done through the GE ONLY. Direct player to player trading will be GONE. I suspect that within 10 days of summoning coming out, direct player to player trading will be removed. Presto, no RWT anymore in runescape. ' Now that I think back, they probably tried to kill death trading through the 1 minute wait. Though we attributed it to annoying 8 year olds ranting at the time, it could be possible.
  11. Eh, if nobody was able to make new accounts... runescape would stop growing... and the game would eventually die... :-s
  12. Three letters. W. T. F. :? That is really bad news for merchants. And who says the ge didn't kill merchanting...
  13. We won due to sheer numbers, there were too many of us for them to fight. Lumbridge is a mess, ppl are saying tip it is disqualified (for what?) and some are chanting that rune village won (WTF? they had 5 ppl. :-k )
  14. I think we can safely say that tip it won, hands down. And we definetely outnumbered all the other teams combined.
  15. Miniclipoids, Miniclippers, Miniclipedes, etc! He is liek 8 years old and he reads actual books instead of watching Tv or playing console games? Good for him. Does he also play RS? He doesn't, my mother tells him to wait till he's 13. I my mom.
  16. I'd rather phrase the history like this. There was the golden age of rs, etc, etc... The beggars and the trolling noobs were always being put down by the more influx of more responsible, older players. Granted it wasn't perfect, but there weren't many. Then came the trojan horse known as miniclip. Jagex, the fair ruler of the land, accepted it as a gift. But soon, the invaders threw open the gates for the noobs to poor in and overwhelme the defenses and the mighty ban catapults. In with them came autoers, as they flocked to large games, and noobs who begged and complained 24/7. Soon the miniclip players began to learn the ways of the Runescapians, and soon you couldn't tell who was who. Suddenly, everybody became suspicious, and everybody became mean towards each other. Granted, there were those who didn't, but the reign of the Miniclippians (or Miniclipites, or Miniclipocians) kept them quite silent.... And that is the story of how miniclip effected runescape. And don't even get me started about the fricken runescape book, at my brother's school half his class got the fricken book. What's his grade? SECOND.
  17. Back to the old staking is soooo much skill !!! Every half-decent staker use the same technique as every other half decent staker +. Many of the high stakes such as rare stakes have been done with no armor/food anyways. I think we both can agree that when you are going past the 0 - 1mil stakes it is just about gambling and routine. (Explanation for the slow folks: at low level stakes you seem to be getting into a lot of different types of people, people that don't have optimized equipment etc. But when you pass the 1mil staking mark you seem to meet opponents that just use the exact same techniques as yourself, or techniques that are just as good) Perhaps you should be "respected" for the balls you have when you enter a big stake. But then again. Do you respect a man that puts his life savings on a football match etc in real life? Staking is all about win big or loose big. The quickest and easiest way to riches if you have luck by your side. Skilling is all about the small gains. A slow but 'easy' path to the riches. And you don't need much help from mr. luck either. Who deserves most "respect". I say whoever have used the most time to get that blue party hat is who to "respect". Now I respect everyone anyways but if you really can't do that and must choose, then I say go with the skiller that have invested tons of working hours into the game, rather than the lucky gambler. Important note: This is not about Pk'ing. This is about duel arena staking. (No longer possible) I disagree that it does not involve much skill. Skill isn't just tactics, its knowing when to stop. If your up by... hmm... lets take me for example. I was up to 9b at one point. I kept losing many 100m stakes untill i was down to 7b. I called it quits. Then after many months I went back, why? I was partially addicted to the gambling aspect. A good staker knows when to stake. *And if anyone is interested when I went back I did all in and if I lost I quit. I won. :P Eh what? The max amount of money you can have in runescape is 2.1 bill... :^o Please clarify... :-k Off topic Oh, sorry about that. Back on topic, and to help add to discussion, I don't like or dislike stakers. I know that as many of them have won, there are also many of them that have lost millions. I have less respect for a staker than a skiller since skilling takes more time. I also hate it when people accuse me of RWting, I mean can they at least ask how I got my money?

  19. I predict it to be a "safe" mini-game, like castle wars and the fight pits I wouldn't bet on it, It says that you can take other people's loot... I wonder if only your assigned bounty hunter kills you, you lose your items... But if not, you keep them.... :-k
  20. Uh... Still thinking... We'll know... something about it? :uhh:
  21. Thought of another one. Chinchompas aren't food?
  22. Thank You for taking the time for reposting this qeltar. Oh, and it was quite a good read. Not sure what i'm going to do to make money these days....
  23. I'm getting fed up with the grand exchange... I just fished around 2k lobbies and sold them all for 200 ea. Note that this is when they are cooked. As Opposed to the 500-600k i would get before the exchange... And I really don't see how you can justify a stack of lobsters as Useless Junk that people want to clear out of their banks. I'm not willing to Sell for that low, but I literally have no choice, all the undersellers are driving the market down and I cannot sell my lobsters for the prices I want. More people are conforming to the normal, or what they percieve to be normal, the low price. I can't even sell directly through trade, for all of you who start saying go through trading regularly. I've seen people buying lobsters for 180 ea on World 1. This is half good, because the prices of potions and bolts I've used for training have gone done. On the other hand, the manufacturable items I make and fish for are going down, resulting in me having less money. And with the way the system is, prices can't stabilize correctly. Why? Sellers sell low to beat the competition. Buyers buy from the GE and get the lowest price available. This means that the undersellers keep driving the prices down. Phew, long post.... :P
  24. They liek shut down out teh servahs! Its wunderbufall! Tehn no mor autoz with teh yewwz and teh lobesters and teh fuhlax. Tehn we can liek sell Jagex for free geepeez Pl0x! Seriously, they way they update these days... But back on topic, I'm fine with RWT. Autoing is the only thing that i hate. The only thing i think that Jagex could do is improve their auto detection systems. Either that or walk out in the middle of a Chinese back city alley, and yells first to ban 100 bots gets 4 loaves of bread!
  25. Pretty old, but nonetheless still funny. That must have hurt for the reciever if (s)he got damaged hahahaha! =D Jagex... What have you done... Get a room you two!
