slayerbelle already has an untrimmed skill cape for quite a long time now...(not sure if i spelled correctly though) probably one of the few if not the only person in RS to get it but imo an untrimmed slayer cape is not that difficult. the difficult part is that you have to start a new account and train slayer from level3 which is what a lot of people hate...just train on controlled, range as much as possible, mage as much as possible and cannon as whenever possible as well and you will get it in a few months time... the MOST challenging thing to me would be to have a level 3 with a slayer cape...

really depends on what i am doing...i'm a great fan of CW but since i can barrage i don't really need ZGS...i also love slayer so a SGS would be good for me but then again i love boss hunting as well and love seeing high hits so if i would like a SGS and an armadyl hilt

i make my character a female and wear the skirt cause it is not only cheaper and provides the same def stats but i believe d skirts are also 1kg lighter... -
What is the most stable medium in which to store gold?
davidium replied to tiggehdroih's topic in General Discussion
the best way would be to diversify your wealth everywhere in all aspects of the game...that would prove to be the most stable form seriously...every investor will know that =) also, buy primary products and raw materials which are traded heavily and items whose quantity is high in the game so that people cannot manipulate the prices easily i know the previous post above mine says "stay away from raw materials" but these are the really good items to have a constant wealth...this is because they will always be in demand and always be in supply and the amount of raw materials in the game is huge so slight changes in demand and supply will not affect the price much... if i were you i would buy some fish (lobsters, swordfish both raw and cooked), logs (yew, maple, magic), ores (coal, gold) and stuff like that...if you check history of these items, their prices have fluctuated together with the RS economy...lobsters were around 200 a few years back but now with inflation they are around 230...coal has also always hovered around the 200GP mark, magic logs around the 1k mark for as far as i know although they have increased to 1.2k with inflation now.. i've been playing RS for 6 years and the prices of all these items have not changed much since then unless something big happened like jagex announcing that PvP is going to come back making lobster prices jump to 260 (i made 6M just buying and selling lobsters and swordies :P ) so these items would be good for you to store your wealth in =) just remember not to buy food items now since their prices are jacked up by speculative demand... -
the power of the rune xbow lies also in the different abilities of the enchanted bolts...with ruby your spec can go up to 51 depending on the hitpoints of the monster you are killing making it suitable for boss hunting...diamond is great and is really the verac version of range, hitting through the defense of monsters such as metal drags when it specs which is more often than ruby...emerald poisons the enemy...pretty good but i prefer ruby and diamond although they are more expensive...

yea slayer is really great exp, fun and cash with black mask...but if you don't want that salve ammy at giant skeletons, monkey guards etc are good...
-
imo with your stats barrow is too low level for you...you should try bandos instead since your melee stats are maxed out but range is a bit low for gwd still..99 range would be good =) gwd earns you much more money than barrows too...barrows used to be really good when it first came out...i made around 50m when g spears were close to 10M each \

using red chins? umm maybe 30-40M...depends on a lot of other stuff like whether you are wearing armadyl or blk d hide, praying 15% range or 10% range, using range pot or not etc....

grats on losing 1M...lol just kidding don't worry 1M is really nothing to fret about...people lose and gain millions each day in runescape...more so in the past with wildy and in the future too \ when PvP comes back just make cash by skilling and stuff...mining coal, pure ess etc...once you have your first few million through training up the skills which earn you cash the going will be much easier. i had to mine over 5k coal to get my first million and thus my mining level...and after i think i worked really hard to mine 1k rune ores...but hey with the small amount that i got from mining coal and 1k rune ores i now have over 130M :

the same question can be asked for rune scim vs. rune long...if you find the rune scim better you will prefer the d scim too and vice versa so just ask yourself which weapon is more commonly used...d long would be for power and scim for speed but personally i feel that the extra speed > extra power

you could buy and sell stuff on the G.E...not so much merching but investing especially when you know the price of something is going to go up... for example i bought 100k raw lobs at around 285 gp each and 50k cooked lobs at around 230 gp each quite a white back and i just sold the raw lobs at 330 gp each and cooked ones at 260 each earlier today...making around 6M in 3-4 days and spending less than 30min each day online... of course it is not always easy to see when the prices of stuff are going to rise but if you do some research and look out for stuff you should do fine...but you will need quite a lot of cash to do this on a big scale...like starting with 100+m if you are thinking about using skills perhaps killing monsters would be good like the earlier posts have said

dds spec has a higher max than mace but is more inaccurate even with the mace spec lowering mace's accuracy since the mace starts off with a much higher accuracy...so use dds specs when training, mace specs when bossing (around) lol

most people don't really go to metal drags to collect dragon bones...they are there for visage or dragon legs/skirt...if you want to collect bones green/blue drags are best. i wouldn't suggest brining a terrorbird as you will probably be camping there much longer than the life of a terrorbird...instead bring a bunyip if possible =) there is an alter just outside the brimhaven metal drag cavern for u to recharge your summoning points...you shouldn't bring a terrorbird unless you don't mind dropping and picking up all the items from time to time as well as bringing a few terrorbird pouches... a glory would be good as you don't want to compromise too much on attack...these creatures have high def...depending on how long you are staying and your prayer level you should bring around 2-3 pure sets and the rest prayer pots and some food...don't forget 1 click tele too

OH-MY-GOD your account is so screwed...no point playing anymore seriously you have just ruined your whole account by adding 1 more def level...i usually start with 100 of such accounts and train them up together at the same time just in case i make any mistakes i still have 99 other accounts so there will be room for 99 mistakes this way =) now for your case i suggest you start with 10, 000 accounts...

i'll say it depends on which monster you are training on...for a high level monster the rune baxe or long might prove to be better than the scim due to their greater accuracy (no point hitting very fast 0s) such monsters include lesser demons, cockroach soldier, ankous for example but if you are training on weaker stuff the scim does shine more...

Zamorak Godsword Special Attack+ Saradomin's AI
davidium replied to Dire_Wolf's topic in General Discussion
nah it shouldn't as this will create a lot of problems in future...especially when PvP comes out...imagine clans who go around everyone holding a ZGS...zzzzzz 10 people with zgs = 200 seconds = gf to the poor guy lol -
no problem, glad i could be of help :D
-
nah you don't need 85 prayer...but 70 prayer would be nice =) umm i would recommend 90+ range at least and 85 or 90+ defense as well...high range is really important to kill him quickly...even at 99 range and defense i've to be very careful and at most kill 2 bosses in 1 trip
-
yup it probably works like normal magic spells if not you could have a whole team of people wielding ZGS and specing once to hold the guy there like forever...or the in case of barrage the guy will never ever be able to move once u start to auto cast barrage lol #-o

try with 2 eucalyptus and another 1 from the other flowers...some of the pools require 2 of the same flower and a third one i think...can't really remember but i think i had one such pool...

High alch values are very reliable, they even added a feature into the game a year or so ago where you can see what items you'll keep on death. And the cool thing about high alch values is that they never change, unlike market values. And no choosing your items kept on death. This is runescape not let's-take-the-challenge-out-of-death...um, scape. Dat's lyke maulerwafflerz. And yea, check what items you keep on death... WOW high alch values are really reliable...hmm i wonder why i still have not alch my partyhat then...it has been sitting on the GE at minimum price for a couple of weeks and if high alch values were reliable i would certainly have done so....find someone selling phats for 1gp please? i can't believe my eyes when i read that "high alch values are very reliable" if you want my opinion of this statement, it is as reliable as high alch values are =D> the very feature that high alch values do not change make it EVEN MORE RELIABLE...yea i'm so sure about that. values of items change ALL THE TIME...depending on the introduction of new equipment and stuff or changes in circumstances so the very feature of high alch values not changing at all makes it such a flawed system... i'm sure that something which doesn't change despite everything else around it changing is the most reliable feature in the world.

that's not true at all...if you talk to the lumbridge tutors or look on the RS KB you will find that Jagex explicitly says that on death your 3 most "valuable" items are kept. According to this statement the whip should be kept as it fetches a higher value on the G.E. and is thus considered a more "valuable" item than the dh stuff and drag sq...the fact that he lost his whip means that Jagex's system of "valuing" items is fatally flawed and they should do something about it such as letting us choose which items to keep. after all it should be OUR RIGHT to choose which 3 items we want to keep since jagex says that the 3 most "valuable" items and kept and since different people will value their items differently...depending on sentimental value, usefulness to them etc. besides if you are carrying lots of items you will still lose the other valuable items making the game a risk...he is not suggesting that one loses nothing on death...only suggesting that jagex improves their "valuation" system. Wrong. Your 3 most valuable items are kept, according to their high alchemy value, a system that's been in place long before the grand exchange and a standard market value for items ever existed. Letting you choose which items to keep would make people stupidly careless while running around with items liek rares and, as you can tell, whips and items of the sort. The system isn't flawed, this is just the anger of players saying "oh well it inconveniences me in some way, IT HAS TO GO!" It's not unfair that the original poster lost his whip even though it was higher on the grand exchange, it's called challenge. Don't die, and you won't even have to worry about what you keep upon death. When you said it should be "our right to choose which items kept on death" I had to laugh. What gives you this sense of entitlement that everything you want, you suddenly have the "right to"? You don't have the "right" to choose what items you keep on death, you have the right to play the game with as minimal bugs as possible in the way Jagex wants it to be designed with as much player input as they would like. You have the right to pay for membership, should you decide to, and not break the rules if you don't expect to be punished. Those are the only things you have a right to in this game. Why should Jagex bother putting in a system that a tiny amount of players care enough about to speak up about it, that will only end up bringing in more complaining when, say, someone is disconnected and doesn't even get to keep an item because the screen disappeared upon logout? Or when the items update and suddenly your whip isn't as expensive as something else in your inventory, and you lose it anyway. dude lots of systems have been in place for a long time in the world but that doesn't make them right at all...look at the rise and fall of communism for one and you will see what i mean...just because the high alch system has been in place since runescape started doesn't make it right...if what you said is right then there will be no need to change anything cause the longer something has been in place the more "right" it will be... laws and legislations are changed and reviewed as time passes to keep up to the changes which society embraces and to be more efficient and serve the needs of the people better...i think it is time that jagex reviews this system of how valuable items are chosen rather than trust in the archaic system that they currently use... it should be our right to decide because jagex explicitly stats that the 3 most "valuable" items are kept and their system of valuing items is fatally flawed...if we were to go by high alch values i really would love to trade my rune large for someone's christmas cracker...i'm sure they will be glad to trade with me as well =D> (despite the fact that it is impossible to do so now) on one hand jagex has the high alch value list of items and on the other hand they have the GE price list of items...would you like to tell me how AN ITEM COULD HAVE 2 DIFFERENT VALUES AT THE SAME TIME? IT IS RIDICULOUS TO SAY THAT AN ITEM IS WORTH 3gp AND 700M gp AT THE SAME TIME...totally contradictory and flawed as i have already mentioned in my previous post... to get around the problem you mentioned in your last paragraph jagex could easily allow players to determine which 3 items you keep which i believe is an extremely feasible addition for jagex to make. this will be a more more efficient system as i'm sure many people value their items differently...no one may want to pay a million dollars for my ring of life but i wouldn't give it up for anything if it was something a close friend gave to me in the game as a symbol of friendship...i would even protect it over stuff like abyssal whips or barrow armour which hold less sentimental value which cannot be bought. thus i really feel that the valuation system which jagex has in place is really in great need for an update. (by the way i doubt it is just a small amount of players who are bothered about this...lots of people have been complaining about it in the rants section already...)
