Something like this happened to me in game the other day. Was walking from Varrock bank to GE when some guy in Black (g) armor started following me and saying hi. I said hi back and then he proceded to ask if I want members (I'm f2p atm obviously). I knew right there and then it was a scam so I decided to play along. I responded with "Sure, however I doubt you can give it to me." He told me to add him but since I am an ex-member I have well over 100 people on my list so I would have to delete like 50 people to add him. After explaining to him for 10 minutes that I couldn't add him, he told me to meet him in Lumbridge. We both teleported there and he led me to the little tower by the castle gate entrance for privacy I guess so no one could see us talk. From there you could probably guess what happened... He asked once again if I wanted member and of course I said sure. He then said he needed my password...dee dee dee. I told him I knew he would try that and explained to him that I have been playing this game for years and no every "trick" in the book. So he goes and says "Well I guess you don't want members" like 3 times and then runs off. I tried to follow him but my computer lagged when I went down the ladder so I lost him. :( Seriously, do they think they can trick someone of my experience in the game into giving them their password?

I see. Yeah I've known that having Crossfire/SLI will make games run smoother but just really wanted to know what would happen if there was no bridge. Thanks.

Like the title says, if you have multiple graphics cards (no I don't mean interchanging brand {i.e. no NVIDIA and ATI}) and you do not connect them with SLI/Crossfire, what would happen? What are you limited to and it it a lot different then if you had their respective cables (or w/e those things are..)?

Translated to always run the computer with a heatsink and fan. I'm surprised you didn't fry the chip running without a heatsink for even a second. I was also surprised to realized it didn't burn itself out, but I think the heat transfer compound had absorbed a lot of it.

Can it play Crysis? That mouse looks like the Razer DeathHadder if you look close enough. :P

It's probably the laptop. It wasn't designed for such a new program like Java,,

I'd go with dual NVIDIA. That way if one card goes south, you have a decent backup. And of course SLI rules.

OldJoe, I doubt it's the mouse (for me anyway) because I have an MX Revolution which is supposedly top of the line so I don't see it being the problem.

I've had that exact same problem (especially the GE one), and they all piss me off. I think it must be my computer or something because I haven't heard any other complaints before you.

In all honesty, you seem like you don't know what you're doing so I would suggest not building it yourself, but getting a friend or paying someone to do it. Oh yeah, like Dracion said, a 2nd mobo won't work very well as a GFX card, lol.

Talking about RS in real life is definitely something I stray away from. Even though I am probably the best player out of the group of friends I have irl that play, whenever they talk about it around people that don't play/I know dislike it, I tend to switch topics. I like the game and all, but it is really nerdy and kinda wimpy considering one could be out playing sports, hanging with friends, etc. calling it a taboo really isn't accurate for me. I just don't like talking about RS outside of the game itself or in mIRC.

I feel the same way. In fact I have though of making a suggestion that there should be worlds for RS that are totally based off the "good ole times" we remember. For example, free trade could be returned, and the wilderness can come back to all you die hard veteran PKers. Maybe the GE can go back to hell where it belongs (that's my opinion...) and all the pointless and simple mini-games can be taken away. These "old" worlds would only be available to accounts that go above a certain age (3+ maybe?) to accommodate some of the newer, yet not-so-new players that remember the wilderness, mini-games that were actually challenging,and very few noobs/autoers. Also there will be worlds for even older players, like the men and women that played RSC and transitioned over to RS2. Sure it would be a baron wasteland compared to what is there today, but I know so many people had fun back then with what they were given and never complained about a thing. Didn't expect this post to be so long. :o

I have random files, too. I recently deleted some that contained pictures of adverts I have seen (but never clicked on) and other random stuff.

13 times? I'm surprised Jagex hasn't banned you yet for being an idiot.. But like the other guys said...someone probably wanted to mess with you at school and installed a keylogger. And why doesn't your school block RS anyway?

I had taken my computer apart. Everything went fine until I went to reinstall the CPU, which was attached to the heat sink. Since I had to put a lot of effort on the heat sink to get in place, I bent the pins on the processor. I fixed those easily with a pocket knife, and then I pried the chip off the heat sink (which had been held on by some heat transfer compound). I placed the CPU in the holder thing without the heat sink thinking that there is no way that thing will get so hot so quickly. I turned my PC on and nothing came up on the monitor, so I thought I'd press down on the processor to make sure it was all the way down. Bad idea. That thing was EXTREMELY hot for being on after such a short amount of time. The compound I mentioned earlier had gotten on my finger, so the heat was held on my left middle finger for even longer, thus giving me a rather annoying blister.
