  1. Been playing Mafia II. It's great, but the lack of checkpoints and the neverending driving so much driving oh god make me not want to play.
  2. Sale loot thus far: Democracy 3 Rainbow Six 3 Far Cry 3 State of Decay + Breakdown Uplink Plus some Euro Truck 2 and Sniper Elite V2 DLC. Also, I already had State of Decay and Far Cry 3 on Xbox. Is this what clothes shopping is like for girls?
  3. *sigh, opens wallet* So the summer sale is upon us. Picked up some Euro Truck 2 DLC, Sniper Elite Kill Hitler DLC, and Rainbow Six 3.
  4. This post inspired me to play some New Vegas, and this time I really took my time. It's much better than I remember it, but I can't get over how nothing seems to do any damage. Doesn't help that I pissed off the Legion early on.
  5. "[bleep] burn in hell! I'm no bigot though, it's just how I was raised."
  6. Neck-deep in probably the largest project I've attempted. I'm trying to re-create Building 93 of the abandoned King's Park Psychiatric, which I was recently able to visit.
  7. That sounds pretty cool, it'd be worth it just for the revival of Halo 3 custom games.
  8. That the only things I actually enjoy are either expensive or illegal.

    Today...

I always recommend against installing vista then upgrading, a clean Windows 7 definitely is the best way to go, but if you can't this way, your way will have to do. I'm surprised it doesn't want to install directly Win 7, maybe it's just missing drivers? (which you can add during the install) Installing Vista wasn't the optimal choice, for sure, but it worked for what we had. I think there may have been something wrong with the first (TOTALLY LEGITMATE, NSA) disk. Ended up using an EXACTLY EQUALLY LEGIT disk, with a LEGIT activator thrown in to keep the key. All in all, this took way longer than it would have if I'd known we had the official disk from the start. I guess this kind of thing is what happens when you gradually make a Frankenstein monster out of a comp that sucked even in 2007.

    Today...

Today: Fixing my brother's desktop. The HDD failed some time ago, and today he got a new ones, so I put it in for him. Windows 7 was being a jerk in both disk and USB form, so now I'm installing Vista just so I can kill it and install 7 for realsies. That desktop is 7 years old, and as of today, the only original part is the motherboard. If I were to get a job, I think I would want it to be something like this, I like the problem solving. Even if the more frustrating problems are bound to result in homicides, the victims would mostly be annoying people.
  11. The alarming number of people on the internet that defend things on the basis of population control.
  12. Anyone else have Industrial Craft? I've been trying to get back into this with the mod, but I have the experimental and multiple wikis have a ton of wrong information.
  13. Just finished Outlast: Whistleblower. It's much better than the main game, and that's saying something.
  14. Troubleshoot. Check for solution online. Two things which have never helped anyone ever.
  15. Played a couple of matches in the Steam free weekend. Time to stamp it with the standard annual review. "It's alright, I guess."
  16. Bioshock: Infinite - Great game, but man it got confusing near the end. Had to consult TV Tropes to understand one of the main points of it. My only complaint was that it started to run a little long, but that may have been because I played it in three sittings. There was never a dip in quality, and if anything, it got better as it went on.
  17. It always sucks when a multiplayer service goes down. Swat 4 (run by GameSpy, in fact), died pretty much as soon as I got it. This is really bad news, hopefully there's some way to continue without official support.
  18. Started playing FTL. I think I'm going to leave it for a while, though. It was fun at first, but it's way too random to be fair.
  19. The Descent - I have no idea what /x/ was raving about. Pointless prologue, stupid ending (UK version, but the part that annoyed me is present in both versions). Nice buildup though, and the setting was well-done. Relied way too much on jumpscares, but it had some decent scares as well. The thing that really killed it for me though is that it's far more of a survival movie than horror. I'm not saying that it's bad, just that it's not all it's hyped up to be. Not sure if I should watch the sequel.
  20. Just got Assassin's Creed IV: Black Flag on Steam. Its two main features are: 1. Jesus Christ. 2. This game is awesome.
  21. Same as yours... I always wanted to make my hobby as my profession and see now I have finally succeeded. I give training to people on firearms. You can join me and I'll teach you more than just pushing that trigger! :D That post is half a decade old.
  22. I read somewhere that it actually didn't do as well as Black Ops II. I think that's the first time in the MW era that they've had one not sell better than the last, and if that's true, you're probably right about them making too many copies.
  23. After reading Randox's posts on the previous page, I decided to reinstall Civ 5. I've had it for a while but never really played it until now. I started after dinner, and just now turned it off. It's 3 AM. I played as Alexander, and went for a peaceful, secular, educated society, which has led to us getting into the modern age with planes and mass media in the latter half of the 1800's. We only had one war, which was pretty bizarre. In the 1700's, the Arabs, who we were friendly with, told us that although they knew they were outmatched, we were at war now. So I showed up at the border and took out a few of their camel archers with my civil war era cavalry, and when I brought some cannons near to capture a city, they immediately surrendered and went back to friendly and pretended nothing had happened. Also, the Russians were initially hostile for some reason, so I stole the Kremlin out of spite.
  24. Googling desktop backgrounds and finding that all the good results redirect to stores. Has anyone ever actually payed money for a wallpaper?
