  1. I tank them in v skirt+prossy top+defender+bunyip. I am turmoiling, and need to sgs spec/soul split occasionally, but not often.
  2. I am going to guess the reason it looks like a SS is because it is some time of Iceyne weapon. Both the blade and the hilt resemble the saradomin sword. That would make perfect sense.
  3. I believe that for high level+experienced TD'ers, the average take is ~3m an hour. And moronic, 16 kills an hour is pretty bad. You should be able to easily get 20+
  4. Sonic, air runes would go down, same as deaths/bloods/laws are now. You make no extra money, since the runes are worth less.
  5. I agree for the most part, especially making instanced dungeons for small group raids, but I cannot imagine making a boss TWO TIMES HARDER THAN NOMAD! Maybe as hard as, or even a bit harder, but realize the limits of levels, equipment, weapons, and food in the status quo. I killed Nomad with a full inventory of brews left (used 25 sharks in yak and a couple prayer pots) on my first try, so even if I was lucky it's not hard at all. And anyway, you can always bring more than 5 level 130s if taking the scenario I mentioned :D Should 5 people be able to take down something extremely epic so easily? As for how to make bosses harder, the best solution is to slightly increase the maximum damage but to increase the rate of attack. In one attack turn, players can currently heal: -14 from unicorn stallion special -15 from saradomin brew -23 from rocktail For a total of 52 hitpoints per round. There goes that 50 hit. Anyway, 50-60 seems like a reasonable max hit, as it makes you pay attention to avoid getting 2-hit. I like the Corporeal Beast element where certain items are ineffective (defence is useless there) and the TDs/DKs ways of making monsterhunting unique. If you combine all those on a monster that attacks quickly, with attacks from all three combat styles, and has high hitpoints with multiple minions defending it, you can start to get the kind of tactically and brute strengthwise challenging monster. Except you are wrong... Defense is VERY useful at the CB. Go there in prossy and karils, and with super defense and without, and tell me there is no difference. The super defense really helps corpies melee from being able to hit you as often, and karils dramatically reduces the chance of being comboed by the mage attack.
  6. what attack style did you use with zs? Stab, duh :-P odd, last time I used zs on irons I rarely hit under a 35, while spamming 0s with whip I hit insanely accurate with z spear, hitting a max of either 52 or 56. But I had turmoil+ x pots. I killed 99 steel dragons in under an hour.
  7. Pit, I didn't say differently. I guess grammatically I should have said "one" instead of you. My bad.
  8. Bruno, you were always able to PJ your target.
  9. Personally, x range pots are FAR more useful for arma then higher prayer, however, for melee, I'd say get prayer first. For one, the high prayer level is useful in many instances. For another, I *think* that, if I did the math right, the 29% 32% 29% boost is better then piety by a greater amount then the extra levels x pots give over super sets. Another thing, while potted levels drop over time, turmoil will always be at a set level, and for most if not all bosses, and many monsters, that boost will be the full 29% 32% 29%. The percentages are not set in stone, they vary if you aren't maxed melee. But the boost is the same. (EG 10% boost to your str at 50 str compared to 5% boost to str at 99 str. Same amount of invisible levels ended, but the percentage is different.)
  10. This is actually what I do, except I turmoil, use full prossy for tasks where I need less defense like abby demons, and verac brassiere+ skirt for tasks where I need more. Although this is faster then the +6 strength bandos would give, you can not get the money back spent on prayer pots, while you can sell bandos back, and possibly profit. However, the increased speed, and as a resut increased chance of drops, is at least to me, worth the small cost. Vul, and your point, well, it really is NO point. He asked if they were worth it. We said that, from a statistical and useful point standpoint they weren't. You didn't help at all. Besides, I am pretty sure that those of use who said "no" actually know what we are talking about, compared to you, from a utility standpoint. No offense, its just a fact.
  11. That isn't real profit. You'd profit more selling the things you produce. There isn't an object like that.
  12. No. The +2 str and +1 prayer isn't worth breaking your bank over.
  13. I can actually second this, on my abberant tasks, without the ROW i seem to get much higher herbs & seeds. I'd have to disagree. I still get 2+ snap seeds, and the same herbs, with a zerker then with a ROW. It doesn't matter, especially since herbs aren't "rare" drops.
  14. I have to agree with you. I know who knows what they are talking about, and who doesn't. We don't need a reputation bar. Most TIF users would be able to learn about other posters within a month or so. Also, I just noticed that your AV is from Heroes. Heroes FTW!
  15. Broad bolts.
  16. Also, if you CBF to free the rouge, you can just sell them stung on the GE. You lose a bit more, since they only sell when ammies are down.
  17. Well, I don't think so for me, but if you slay a lot, then get it. I just use EE, and even in prossy, I don't need extra healing besides 'yip. I prefer AGS.
  18. They do, actually. However, that still leaves a need for a low-to-mid level item to use as a fiat currency. Buying an AGS with a 3a robe top is a bit overkill.
  19. LOL at your xp count ending in omfg. And lala, that was my AGS. Trip just borrowed it :P
  20. Actually, assuming constant prices, bandos costs 0 gp to use. Following the general trend, you *make* money by using bandos because you can sell it after using it for the same price, if not higher. You can sell barrows for the same price as well, but you have to pay for degrading costs. However, that assumption is intrinsically flawed. One can not assume a stable price with bandos. Thus that argument is invalid. Things such as d axe vs. rune axe that argument works, if one assumes the use of time saved instead of money spent on repairs. Now, if you are very careful about when you buy/sell, you *could* break even or profit, but you can't just assume that this will happen. New armor might come out, etc etc. Some people say that spending the money on prayer pots and cannon balls for faster slayer training, if you wish to slay, and you will be gaining even more advantage in speed then bandos gives. However, while that is true, you can get at least some of what you spent on bandos back when you sell.
  21. Zerker. ROW doesn't affect whip drops. Personally, I'd use v skirt+prossy top and piety/turmoil. That's what I always do on task. But otherwise, your setup is fine. Just bring 3 pure sets, you don't need def pots.
  22. Which makes it odd why people pick the obby shield over the rune defender when offensive bonuses are needed. Finding a middle ground is usually a not worthwhile practice. There are *Lots* of stupid people in the world, and many of them play RS. That is the same thing with DFS. The +2 strength is USELESS compared to the +20 slash of a defender.
  23. Seeing as I doubt the OP is planning on spending 291'ish days on combat, bandos will never "pay for itself". That is the one point you are wrong on. Its not a big deal. Just don't try to get out of being wrong. Not to mention, the money saved by NOT buying bandos and pietying tasks, or whatever you will train on will save you far more money "in the long run" by getting higher stats/slayer then the money saved not repairing barrows.
  24. Why insult the OP? He never contradicted anything you said. Other people did, because, well, you were wrong.
  25. I might be interested. PM me on TIF.
