why train skills when you could e doing something useful in real life! u just got pwned! lol infact why do anything in rs because u can all do something similar to it in real life? we play rs to get away from rl life and because it is enjoying. i dont understand why ppl constantly grind skills rather than spend some time chilling out. Exactly. You should only do things you enjoy. Like I said, everything we do is a waste of our time in the long run. Life isn't permanent. Live for the moment - whatever that may mean to you. Thats exactly what i think. Some people, like me, just arent interested in the social aspect of MMOs (heck, im not that interested in the social aspect of life <,<). If im skilling and a random guy talks to me, i'll usually talk to him too, because its the polite thing to do, not because im really interested in being his friend. I like being in clans, because of the hunts, raids, wars, etc, not because of the chat. In the end, you do what you enjoy, you cant expect everyone else to enjoy the same things you do, what you can do, however, is to look for people that share your opinions and hang out with them, im sure in a big game like RS there are more people that think like you. this isnt the kind of direction i want this thread to go into. dont relate this to real life life but more of how u enjoy rs. wat i am trying to say is that ppl sometimes grind skills they dont find enjoyable rather than hanging out more with rs friends. of course u can hang out with rl friends i mean i do it all the time. hang out as in go to clan wars , pk etc. do ppl really enjoy just mining that same spot over and over? seems idk boring... the point is lots of ppl grind skills without much player to player interaction. sure u can talk to them but isnt it more fun to do actual activities with them. rather than making urself train constantly.

with ge everything is lower. back then u had to spend time to find a deal. time = money. so ur dealer would have to put more money in the deal. it was basically like this. the ge made this easier thus making it cheaper.

it seems as though we r unprepared. We must find our best men. clan wars can only hold 100 men on each side. yes we won last year but that is because so many tifers were there =D> however the best of the best will be there so it is fair game. as for equipment. this is very important. we want to have the same uniforms if we dont, then it just looks sloppy. i consider that everyone must wear full steel (l) this is easy to get and just get them at ge. if u wear skirts plz dont. we want to look like an army. next everyone have rune scimmy. again we want to look the same. boots should be fighting ones. and gloves should be maybe fog or just safety gloves (cuz some ppl dont want to do fog etc) and tif cape. (39 i think it is?) inventory: 2 str pots, few anchiovy pizzas, and swords after that we should just make tactics on where alliances will be. for this we need to somehow block it so that others cant spy on us easily.

Won't know until it's released. But I'm pretty sure they'd find something to nitpick about. I mean, I know BH isn't perfect but it really does get a worse rep than it deserves. I'm personally looking forward to the update. I have some training to do in the meantime though. :? oh i see wat u mean but at least it is there rather then nothing

good read. i put runescape last when im bored. i do have good rl friends and i do good in school. i do agree that rs was fun awhile back but rs just seems to be getting worse. For the most part it is just us getting bored and the other fact that the community and contents itself is dying out.

good read. now it seems that each skill is nerfed in some way, shape, or form. jagex should really tests updates by using the minds of real players. same with ge manipulation. players always find some way to abuse the updates. but they rnt abused...

i dont alch but it would be: GE - updates and investing so the next day u wont travel back to change something in ge + many noobs :lol: anywhere where ur friends r that is near a bank - entertainment and fun! BH - it doesnt really make u that much money but free 3ks rnt bad.

Sorry I had to point it out because I just saw the Viagra type advert on the Post Pictures sticky. Ok ya your 100% right. As I grew in levels and experience I noticed it's not about hanging out and having fun but it's working hard to have a higher level of fun now. These days almost all of my friends are either busy with training for the new PKing or getting a 99. I am too going for a 99 and have noticed I am shutting out some people because I'm on a Slayer Task and am too lazy to leave have fun and go back. I don't know what I turned into but it makes me sad when I stop and analyze it. Most people I know and are my friends are a lower level and still like to have fun and not grind for a 99 or a level that will get them some bonus of some sort.I enjoy Castle Wars and some know somewhat addicted I guess. I used to always play it for fun and now it's about winning or beating some rival that I made. It's turning bad and I think we should all STOP and get out of our New York minute stage and take some time and sit around and chill or do something with a group because no matter what level you are our friends will always be there(I hope). This just realy makes me sick when my friends say dude I can't I'm busy ..... I'm like ok ok it doesn't matter but it does matter because usually what I ask of them is fun or only takes a few minutes which won't kill them if they lose 2k XP. I guess I'm not as bad as some of my friends because I do do alot of CW,KBD,GWD, and other group stuff with friends. But I can't stop and think I'm leaving out a few people. Maybe once I'm back and my account is unlocked which is when the hacker stops trying to get my account I'll slow down not race for my 99 and have some fun with my friends again like I did a year or 2 ago. I'm sure I'll enjoy it and they will too. O i'm not done yet if you actually read this far and didn't stop after the first few lines kudos to you keep reading. Maybe thats why we have all the high levels quitting these days due to boredum. Maybe they just spent too much time with their head in their rear skilling to become 'great' at something. Well some atleast I know some that can't play because well school>runescape for them which is the way to go. O well I seem to have diarrhea of the keyboard as my Adv. English 2 teacher says I do when I write papers. fixed my error. sry that was just a plain typo. anyways ur post basically summarizes exactly how i feel. many players r grinding for higher levels. even higher levels grind for even more xp. rs is just losing those days when u take a break from grinding a 99 and such and just chill with ur friends by pking or just talking and doing group based activities. sometimes it disgusts me that ppl dont even mine with buddies because all they r concerned about is getting the most xp. wat ppl do is just mine and watch tv and stuff. friendship and real fun is losing its purpose in rs now. im glad im not alone on this feeling.

yeah but sometimes it make me sick. ur saying that some ppl cant take a few minutes just to chill. even level 138s or wat ppl consider high leveled players. they still work. even at 99 they try to get idk 200mil xp? i just dont like this new community. it makes the game boring. if ur working in rs all day u might as well just stop and do something useful in real life. i understand training for higher and more aspects of the game but it just bugs me how even at high levels and such ppl still just dont find some time to chill. not even much time.

^^ great observations. as for me: why is jagex making pvp worlds. will this be rwt? yes! wat jagex is hoping is to make a couple of pvp worlds and hope that this will stop rwt because there r too many pkers that could intercept their trades because of the few pvp worlds. but it really first depends on how this new style of pking works.

But it's not like investing. When you buy out an item, it naturally goes up. There is no 'risk' in completely buying out an item- if you're able to completely buy out an item, software kicks in and the price naturally rises. This doesn't happen in real life- we're not governed by software. This is why we call this price manipulation, and not investing, not merchanting, not mass investing. As far as speculation is concerned, if you have a hunch that the price will rise and try to profit off of it, then it's ok. When it comes to large groups of people or one person with very deep pockets buying out items, it no longer becomes speculation. These are the people who alter the game and make a price rise in a way that is not natural. So do we change GE or do we punish these price manipulators? i understand wat ur saying but i just dont get why more ppl dont do it. r they good kids or do they just not know. i agree this is a problem but wat can jagex do. not another trade restrictions update #-o wat can they do is the question.

Ive been playing f2p runescape for along time. By no means im a newb. i started during the miniclip trend :-# but unlike those immature kiddies i actually learned to play the game. There were many of us newbs and back then it seemed that ppl were willing to spend some of their time to help others or just chill out. I remember learning the game from a level 50 which was high back in the day. ive learned many things and even though my level is low i know alot about the f2p world then others. why is my level so low on my main and others ... because i just chilled and rs and also mainly because i never really had time to just play for like an hour a day. back then it seemed like ppl hung out with each other, had fun etc. friends were easily made. now it seems like rs is just a different community. everyone doesnt want to meet u in clan wars or in fally bar because they r busy training a skill and if by any means they miss out for a couple of mins they will have less xp then they couldve had. this is wat im talking about. wat happened to just chilling? u may have friends on ur list but how many times have u actually chilled with them ingame rather than just bumping into them my mistake. Also wat ive noticed is that it is harder to make friends. I made a pure (again) and wat i noticed is that it is hard to make friends. dont get me wrong. im polite and im great at making friends but ppl r just so damn busy training rather than chilling. I added someone and he just is busy training and never really asks if we want to meet up in rs. first off there r no more newbs. every lvl 3 is a side account/skiller/fun account (for wierd names and messing around)/pures. When i try to help newbs it is just hard to find them. all of them r side accouts! i understand u already have friends in rs. some closer than others. but it is really hard to make new friends in rs. I feel that the community has changed from relaxed and fun to boring and must train skills obsessed. i guess ppl will flame me but i dont care :roll: this is how i feel and i just want to hear ur thoughts. ps: this thread is for discussion but if mods think this is really more of a rant then u r more than welcomed to move it.

As many of us know, Jagex has promised us pvp worlds sometime before the year ends. This seems exciting for many of us pkers and skillers for many aspects. Now my question is ... what kind of impact do u think it will cause on runescape? will all the pkers come back? will the empty f2p worlds come back with full of life? will rs be more than just skilling? rs economy will be fixed or back to normal? i need ur opinions. btw im not looking for exact answers to my questions i just threw those up in the air incase u werent sure wat exactly to say. just to give u some ideas.

jagex is known for making flaws with major updates at first. i think that in the future jagex will realize this and try to fix this. the real question is how long will it take?

mine was probably in 6th grade. i was relatively new to the town and i was biking my way to my middle school. there was a steep hill and it looked dangerous but i went anyways. i pressed the brakes so i can turn but the brakes weren't working well i guess and instead of turning i just went in the middle of the road and almost got hit by a car. didnt tell my parents tho :-# cuz they would be angry ;)

i like the GE. it makes things to sell so much easier. there r only few sellable items in f2p. world 1 has lobster, yews etc. but u could really never sell such things as trout. plus it makes things easier for the buyer. i like it there and u dont have to waste time to travel across runescape in search of something simple.
