Just a humorous title. Anyway, before we changed to Invision and we were still on phBB I remember the censors being more "customized" ie. funnier and more meaningful. Now it's just bleep most of the time. Previously a certain curse had it's own specific censor. For example : [cabbage], [bleep] , [bleep], [bleep], [bleep], [bleep] Back then you could get a good idea of what curse a user was using. Now you have no idea ! Any chance of bringing the old system back ?

It can be logically proven. Anything I, you, or anyone else for that matter does, has (at times along with none egoistical reasons) (an) egoistical reason(s) behind it. I understand what you're saying but you can apply that to literally anything, infinitely and reducibly. But, I like to believe some people sometimes are not so driven by self -- and so like many others: I do not eat at a fancy restaurant soley to take a good [cabbage] the next day. :thumbup: I'll try to give an example. A painter paints a beautiful picture in the hope that he will sell it for a large sum of money. The second painter paints a beautiful picture because he wants to improve himself and his skills. A third painter paints a stunning landscape because he admires the scenery around him and wishes to preserve that moment. The first two are being fuelled by "egotistical" reasons, but wouldn't you say the second is better than the first ? But, I'm sure you agree that the third is the only reason why painters must paint masterpieces, why composers must compose symphonies and the rest of us should exist at all. Yes ? It is not because we are invited to, but we are compelled to. The point still stands. Whether your actions are more self-serving or less self-serving, the bottom line is- They're self-serving. Any action done by person X must be self serving to X, and the measure plays only a tiny role. You clearly didn't read about the third painter. What I'm saying now, is that even if there is no part of ego or self involved, people like you will try to find something. Clearly painter 3 only painted it for so and so reason. When you boil it down that much, this percieved egotism becomes a justification or reasoning of person X, that will look like self-servience but is really not. Yeah, I know it's hard to believe. But they weren't bsing' either ... I had a good read through and it all checked out. [Had to consult my textbook a few times but eh'] Note that I'm talking about subjects like Biology and Chemistry not simple calculus or algebra that everyone can do mindlessly, but things that actually need to be understood. It was quite funny actually, most of it was just like homework help regarding algebra. And lots of cussing.

4chan has some new boards up and so I went ... there was one for Science and Math called /sci/ and spent about 30 minutes there. Holy balls there are some intelligent people there. What PhD students are doing there I have no clue, but they sure did know stuff.

Okay, dont want to turn this into whatever... but for example Tripsis likes taking walks, because the cold air is refreshing. Maybe another person enjoys listening to xyz because of abc. I'm just trying to get you to justify the xyz. [You dont have to though.] Someone could be the total opposite and say they like running to relax because thye enjoy the scenery. I dont know.

Tripsis has a "model" answer. Why would you read a book rather than listen to music ? [Not why you would choose to "relax"] And what type of book would you read. [Maybe I'm asking too much, either way, just post something.] For me, I just tend to lie down whilst listening to musoc or this is unusual but I take a cold shower. The music is usually just instrumental so my mind is occupied and I can just think alone. I know the cold shower may sound weird, but it really does help me to feel more alert and relaxed at the same time. I dont know why...
